seriously? you dumped because of this post? Weak hand i would say... i m holding my drks since march...

Your hands are so weak that you cant even facepalm yourself later...

You shouldn't criticise people dumping. It's a necessary part of the price evolution.

I just dumped as well - two thirds of my holdings.

But not because I think DRK's a bad investment, I still think it has a long way to go. I just have a rule where I'm not allowed to have more of an alt coin than BTC and I was getting ridiculously exposed after the rises of the last 3 weeks. A lot of people are in that category. You just have to take profits no matter how good the fundamentals are, otherwise this whole game is just Russian roulette.

Based on your TA, what is your buy back in price? I have a few BTC loaded and ready to pick up some (hopefully) <0.02 DRKs.

i m not criticising dumping, i m criticising the fact that he dumped because of the FUD post of a newbie with 1 post, signed up today.

i  agree with you in all other parts.

Yes indeed. You should not dump based on crap FUD.

I just had to make that post to cleanse my soul  Embarrassed  ...since I don't feel that great about dumping such a good asset.

On the other hand, I still have a stake in it which I would have considered pretty damn huge a couple of months ago and so I won't be complaining if it does another 4x from here  Smiley

I also think the dev team is probably one of the best and most dedicated around.

LoL !  If only I knew.

It might not go down much at all from here - I might not get a chance to buy back in and I'm prepared to loose out considerably on the next rise.

On the other hand, if it does, it looks to me like the resistance is at 19, 15 and 10. I really don't see it going below 15 at an absolute minimum and it may just hover around 19 while a bit of profit taking goes on.

As I say, I left quite a bit in there because I'd like to be able to sleep at night either way and eat dinner with my family without crashing out to check the DRK price every 10 minutes and them thinking I need 'treatment'  Wink

Absolutely.  It was time to take some profit anyway.  Nothing goes up forever.  That stange poster never said which government he was with and sounds foreign from the bad spelling.  The guy could be an anti-Putin Russian or any angry Chinese XC bagholder.  I'll see how things go, buy back in if it drops really low or shakes off the tumble and starts rocketing again and wind up with more money than I started with.

Might be fear because of

 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637195.0

Someone from the Dark organization needs to publicly refute this shit. People are spending too much time making dream posts about how rich they'll be.   I dumped mine into BTC because I figured there might be panic reaction.  When things cool off I'll buy back in.  Want to see how low it goes and get a nice bargain at the bottom.

The coin has gone up 100% in a week. 100%! So why can't it retrace a few percent?

It's consolidation. Don't worry about the minute charts ; look at the 12h mintpal chart on bitcoinwisdom for example. Zooming out increases calm.

Agreed. It's called "profit taking" and it happens in all markets.

And the difference is when it occurs when we reach or approach an ATH, it is profit-taking.  If it occurs following bad news, it's fear.

seriously? you dumped because of this post? Weak hand i would say... i m holding my drks since march...

Bitcoin's at $660 folks on BTC-e - the most conservative exchange of them all.

...and the 1-week MACD has almost got its last bearish block in.

Looks like you can't loose whatever you do as long as you stay in crypto.

EDIT: (Of course it also might be the dollar starting its long predicted tank. All the Russia-China pow wows on non-petro dollar oil & gas trading, Janet loving her printer even more than the Bernank, Euro deflation on the cards).

Always remember:

Fiat is highly levered credit money. 1 seat for every 10 persons max.
Crypto is unlevered base money. 10 seats for 10 persons min.

No prizes for guessing where's the wealth gonna run when the preverbal hits tha fan. (And it ain't gonna be metals)

The total crypto market cap is under 10billion, single corporations can be worth over 100billion. 3 years from now we'll probably be over 100bn.

1.5 years from now definately over. Question is by how much?

I am a new DRK investor I bought yesterday right at the top (0.024). After it crash overnight and I was tempted to sell but did not. However I was thinking and it feel like every big players bought coins knowing the Bitfinex news and then dump on all the little guys when the news came out. If being on a huge exchange like that doesn't make the price rise what will Huh

To be honest I don't care about the haters/trollers of DRK anymore. The only reliable option for price rising is the acceptance of people/merchant. Right now DRK has grown too well, to a little pump, so be careful if you want to invest all your money in it and try to make some money short-terms.
But with the bitfinex's story, DRK has shown that it is becoming the third power in crypto world. IMHO it has more to offer even than BTC/LTC. Bitfinex accepts DRK despite of DRK still has 3 major hard forks ahead while LTC/BTC people too scared to change their protocol. Don't be surprised if you will soon see more and more exchanges add ALTcoinXXX/DRK marketplace.

Right now even the price DRK/BTC won't even concern me anymore. In facts, I'm enjoying cheap DRK, converting all of my BTC holding to DRK because soon when I'm in need of fiat I don't even need to exchange DRK -> BTC -> fiat anymore. For everyone who misses the chance to be early adaptors of BTC/LTC, DRK is now obviously the only choice.

Beware. for something growing so fast, it always attracts more haters.

Congrats Evan and the team again. You rocks and we're making the history.

Regards,

Well said. No need for the BTC middleman anymore, and hopefully businesses will see the appeal of being able to accept DRK and keep their privacy. By the time DRK hits $100 I think we'll have many more ways of spending it directly without touching fiat at all either.

Still one of my favourites

This is my thinking too after the Bitfinex launch didn't push the price up as high as I anticipated.
