Actually this IS the shit coin! (as of now)  If you can't see that you are blinded by your own hubris.  DarkCoin is such a joke--so many fanboys that don't even understand the tech and only are attracted by the name.  All hype!  It was 50% "premined" in the first 48 hours due to a botched "mining difficulty adjustment".  Half the current coins were mined in 48 hours.  The fork was just a bump in the road.  DarkCoin may or may not be anonymous, as you can't see the code since it is closed source.  It could literally be doing anything...do you trust people or an algorithm?  Clearly DarkCoin fanboys trust people over algo.  Should've sold at the top of this OBVIOUS bubble.  Those who think DarkCoin will gain "mainstream" popularity fail to understand the target audience of anonymous coins.  At least if you buy DarkCoin, wait another month.  If I buy in again I'm getting more than double the coins I had, obvious bubble my friends.

You are correct about the instamine.  It did happen.

Perhaps you should tone down your posts regarding this issue.  The truth is the truth.  Darkcoin was instamined and half of the current coins were mined by a few people.  Those are facts and they should be presented in a manner that will cause more people to listen.

My logic on the instamine issue:

Were a bunch of coins mined at first very quickly? Yes. Do we really know for sure they were well distributed? No, although there is some evidence that suggests that.

Here's why it doesn't really matter to me:

Anyone sitting on a big stash who hasn't dumped at this point is likely going to be holding out for a much higher price (or plans on running masternodes for years to come lol). Anyone not holding out would have surely dumped by now.... the longer time goes on, the more this becomes true. I don't know how much lower this will go, but it will bottom out (all dumpers done dumped), and I think it's very unlikely that any early large holders will dump much below the previous ATH, if at all, as long as this coin stays alive and maintains good prospects for the future.

It's a non-issue as far as I can see... though I am new to DRK, cryptos, and financial markets, and my logic is frequently flawed

Here's why it doesn't really matter to me:

Anyone sitting on a big stash who hasn't dumped at this point is likely going to be holding out for a much higher price (or plans on running masternodes for years to come lol). Anyone not holding out would have surely dumped by now.... the longer time goes on, the more this becomes true. I don't know how much lower this will go, but it will bottom out (all dumpers done dumped), and I think it's very unlikely that any early large holders will dump much below the previous ATH, if at all, as long as this coin stays alive and maintains good prospects for the future.

Truthfully, anyone has the right to hype the coin because their excited about such and such feature coming out. The reason why it's delayed a few days, is because a new bug was found and they're in the process of fixing it. You seem like the type of guy, that wants it to be put out immediately, so you can just join the pump and dump. Most "drk fanatics" simply want everything to come out right so it works well for the long term. So your comments, at best mickyminer, are very hypocritical. I'm sure if you were excited over a coin, you would do the same thing.
