Why is it that updated clients can be on different forks then?
In case of multiple forks the network didnt reach consensus. Pretty nearby given that in this situation old clients already caused the problems/confusion/the first fork.

Shouldn't that post refer to 9.10 .1 or 10.10 .1 as the most recent versions at the bottom where there are links to downloads posted.

Very odd how DRK is very inactive on low volume going into the Fork.
It's like everybody is waiting on the sidelines to see what happens after the fork.
For the past 16 hours there seems to have been a subtle bearbot on mintpal gently selling down to just over 0.017 whenever the price went above that, but not selling below, just waiting for the next buyer to push above 0.017 then selling again. With the volume quite low that would have been enough to keep a steady roof on the price. If this is indeed the case, and if all else remains as it has been, then once that bot runs out of however many DRK it wants to sell, we are likely going up.

Please use your twitters and facebooks and what not, and spread the word! The hardfork will go smoothly this time, no doubt about it really. And there is no real danger of loosing funds (apart from mining on a wrong fork). No need to panic at all. Even if sending funds from a wrong client to a wrong fork, it can still be fixed. Nevertheless, people do tend to have near heart-attacks (understandably) ... heck, I almost had one before I fully got my head round the fundamentals of the "behind the hoods" of a hard fork. So please do your part to protect your investment, not causing panic, and with everyone happy, price will rocket even more than expected. Spread the word!

I think this had been discussed before so forgive me but I think it needs to be brought up again since its ongoing.
Im unable to access Darkcointalk.org on any of the machines where I had visited the site in the past. Reseting everything that can be reset in Safari doesnt fix this. Im a experienced Mac user and Ill guarantee that if running the reset option or trashing preferences doesn't fix this, it will go unfixed on most users machines.
Surely this can be corrected on your end.

Clear your Mac's DNS cache. Problem persists? Clear your router's DNS cache and Mac's cache again. Problem solved.

Sorry for hijacking your thread but help section is of no help really : I'm placing a 0.1BTC bounty for 2 static builds of pooler's cpuminer ( https://github.com/pooler/cpuminer) CentOS 5.5 x64 CentOS 6.5 x64 Both servers are deployed with minimal installation packages. You will connect to my server via teamviewer, ssh to the boxes, install dependencies and compile static builds. Screen recording will be on. BONUS +0.1BTC : set up mingw on the CentOS6.5 box and compile windows x64 and x86 builds Payment will be made after work is done. PM me if interested, senior members prefered.

"hard fork" means that a protocol update forces outdated clients to create their own network because they don't comply with the new protocol version and therefore reject any blocks propagated by up-to-date clients or their connections. And vice-versa.
Why is it that updated clients can be on different forks then? When you distinguish hard and soft forks you're talking about intentional forks. Clients of the same version won't fork until the protocol or its implementation is flawed.

Not nonsense. I'm in same boat; unable to access via phone on Chrome, no matter if it's over WiFi or mobile.
Chrome for mobile has a known bug with the recent version. Rolling back chrome on mobile solves this. Looking into how to resolve for current version.
