Oh ffs.  I have been trying to move some BTC tonight.  Each time I have tried I have had no confirmations after over an hour despite paying a transaction fee.

I can reverse the transaction with bitcoin-qt -zapwallettxes

Have no idea what is wrong.  Gaaaah!

I'll try again tomorrow.

DRK Team Tips - Crowd Funding

Over the last few months I've realised how much hard work goes into development and testing by the Dark team and prominent members of the community.  In many cases, lots of personal time and financial resources are contributed to testing and infrastructure of this project.

I'm running a crowd funding exercise for 1 week, as follows:

8th November 2014 - 15th November 2014

DRK Donation Address: Xcd1fuEWooU8QAHDQnpnapqkF9ri8KopNj

At the end of the week, I will be sending the funds to Fernando (Darkcoin Foundation Member) to distribute amongst the team and the community.

So if you would like to show your appreciation for the fantastic work that's being done within the Darkcoin project, please send our unsung heroes a beer or two, I'll get the ball rolling with 25 DRK.

Thanks in advance and feel free to bump this often  Smiley

We are at 132 DRK, 1 day left to show your appreciation!

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/v10-16-onyx-v2.2982/

Due to some issues that were brought up by a researcher, we've revised the Darksend protocol extensively to enhance the anonymity provided. It's very important that all clients on the Darkcoin network update.

Users Required To Update:

Pools
Exchanges
Darksend Users
Normal Clients
Masternodes

Changes made in this release:

- Masternodes can now make a limited number of zero-fee transaction for Darksend. These are special transactions that require a signature that only the masternodes can create.
- Darksend now has no fees to track what-so-ever, all that will ever be in Darksend transactions are Darksend denominations.
- Added queue gaming protection
- Clients remember which masternodes they've connected to in the past and won't use them against.
- Dsee/Dseep messages have been fixed so they only take newer signatures than the one they have
- 2 different kinds of client crashes have been fixed
- Split up main.cpp into core.cpp
- Split up darksend.cpp into masternode.cpp, activemasternode.cpp and instantx.cpp
- Added modular ProcessMessages for Darksend, Masternodes and InstantX
- Client can now join sessions with any other users

Pardon the foolish question. Could someone give me a rough estimate on how much a node can earn in a month?

Currently 17.632 DRK. This changes all the time as more masternodes join the network and as the masternode reward increases each month.

Thanks for the quick reply. From what I've seen this community is polite, lightning quick and informative. Always a good sign. Looking to get into 3 or 4 coins, just feeling out my entry. Darkcoin is looking cheap. Counterparty looks like its about to consolidate and I'm running through the announcements page to see if there's anything else that's looking promising.

I appreciate your answers.

You're welcome.... I still think DRK is very cheap in comparison to it's massive potential. Next year should be good and don't know of a better and more professional community in the current crypto currency space.

Darkcoin Testnet Testing: PLEASE UPDATE TO v10.16.4

I'm mixing now with seven clients and everything is humming along. I think we're ready to go.

- Fixed variable darksend amounts code, all clients should be able to merge together now (didn't work in v3).
- Added rare collateral charging
- Removed all the spam/logging

Well, I was scared but I did my very first MasterNode update, thanks to Tao's guide. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/taos-masternode-setup-guide-for-dummies.2680/#post-25672
Afterwards I checked on https://drk.mn/masternodes.html and I saw mine was up and running.
