So far with the v2 firmware I am experiencing reboots even though I set it to never reboot on dead miners.  I only have 7 miners running at 750.  I am wondering if it's the usb hub that was supplied, some of the ports don't make the miners light up green when plugged into the usb, while other ports do.  I am going to try a different hub and I'll report back.

Maybe better HUB & good USB cables might help?

I'm using the USB hub that was supplied with my miners and running minerd on RasPi works rock solid!  3 days now and no problems...~3400-3500kh, 100watts, and no worries. 

Why don't you post your sdcard Image from your Pi, that would be great!

I don't know how to do that as I'm not a Linux guy...but it wasn't hard to put it together:

1. Get a RasPi Model B and 8GB SD card from Amazon (or wherever else you shop for electronics)
2. Download the RAW Image file for Wheezy Raspian OS from the official website (http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads)
3. Copy the image per the instructions on the Raspian/Wheezy website
4. Follow the instructions provided by miavaiator for setting up minerd on linux here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494625.msg5448813#msg5448813
5. Run 10 instances of minerd (i.e. 1 for each of my 10 miners) per miaviator's instructions


Or you can:

1. Same as #1 above
2. Download the Scripta image for RasPi here (https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=9908.0)
3. Copy the custom minerd for Scripta from this post (https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=9908.msg132325#msg132325)
3. Or you could compile/install minerd per #4 above.
4. Run 10 instances of minerd (i.e. 1 for each of my 10 miners) per miaviator's instructions

FYI, Scripta's WebUI will soon support minerd running for these Gridseed devices, so when that's done, it will be the OS/controller of choice for me.  No Scripta doesn't support BTC mining on these devices. :-(

Thought i'd post some pictures of my "Ducted" low profile setup that is in progress.  I have a low table in my work area with about 6" of space underneath it and I thought I would design a rectangular enclosure that maximized airflow via a wind tunnel design while minimizing noise (I removed 80% of the fans).

Here is the first quadrant put into place.  Note the units still mounting fans are slightly recessed in for noise mitigation and after checking airflow I realized that 4 fans per quadrant was overkill and reduced it to only 2(visible in later pics):

I'm now ready to start setting up the rear quadrants and have positioned the miners with fans at the front of each stack.  The overall airflow with the lid on is actually pretty decent.

Here is the view from the "front" or intake.  The overall dimensions are 36" L x 20" W x 5" H and the ducts for the miners that run down the centerline are 12" in length.

There are currently 40 miners running and I will be working to clean up the wiring a bit more with zip ties.  There are 8 cables that come out each end (6 power and 2 ethernet) and are plugged into power strips which are then connected to a 500watt UPS (single mode mining only!).  The ethernet cables plug into a 4 port wireless bridge which connects back to my gateway router in the living room.

Hope you guys enjoy the pics and it sparks some ideas of your own!

I am looking for a way to run as much miners possible on one controller. A Rasperry PI has 512 MB is it possible to run eg 100 miners on one Raspberry? What will be the best way to run as much miners possible on one controller?

Yes I ended up just cutting them at the edge of the heatsink.  That leaves about 1.5" of wire trailing from each end.  If I really needed to re-attach I feel confident I could splice it back together (though I hope I never have to!).

All said and done it was around 6 hours of work to unbox, wire everything, fabricate the enclosure and do initial setup.  Long day, but interesting!  And things definitely went faster by the time I got to the 3rd and 4th LA3M

Yesterday I got the promise that the order would be picked up today so I'm waiting, so far no pickup from DHL yet.

With this customer service and broken promises I don't think it would be weird to ask for a partial refund. Especially with the hefty margins asiabtc is making.

And unfortunately, asiabtc/Jack didn't follow through on his promise once again. Order isn't picked up yet. *sigh*

I am placing a new order with Hashra for 40 more miners plus controllers PSUs etc. It is run by an English guy whom i have been speaking to. They have a warehouse in Shenzhen and operate a slick website with an existing sales order process.

I will let you know how i get on with Hashra order, and with the wiibox controller that the units will be shipping with.

Simon at Hashra tells me he is also working on his own firmware for the controller but i hope one day to run my 60 miners using one or two RasPi's running Scripta!

I am looking at Spotswood cases to house these and Cablez modular ATX 12V coaxials so i can power 60 miners off one standard PSU.

First step is to get them all mining away as best they can with the existing PSUs and controllers so they start earning their ROI!!

Second step is to upgrade into something pretty, efficient and space saving


EDIT: forgot to add that Hashra is significantly cheaper than Jack/lightning asic.
