Is the NEM auction going to be like an auction. Maybe I just don't understand.
I was thinking it was going to be like an auction where if your bid made, and someone bids more, then you can outbid them until there is a winner.
PAT If this is the case, let me know. If not, Why not?
Thanks

What you describe is the popular Ebay style auction. This auction is more like a blind (sealed bid) auction because while you can track the bids in blockchain.info, it is not easy to know the winning bid in one glance. Hence, there is a bidding recommendation of making one bid at the highest price you are willing to pay. My choice of auction style depends mainly on logistic + security reason. However I do prefer this more quiet and deliberate style of auction. Multi unit sealed bid auction is the standard auction style for U.S Treasury - so we are in a good company here.

Is it possible that one single person can buy all of the auctioned stakes?
I think there is a limit of 2 stakes per auction. Seems like we are getting away from the most egalitarian distribution if ppl are allowed more than 1 stake pre-launch. Hm is NEM most egalitarian before ? Do the developers take 3-4% each, don't they ? I am in this because of POI and colored coin. People who help the most should get the most so I don't mind the developers but avoid the term "egalitarian". Giving people according to contribution seems better than dividing everything equally. I'm trying to ignore that part. For the auction, everyone should have one bid, come with your best. All bids stay blinded. Top 115 bids win. One bid for you and one bid for your loved one. NEM style

I guess that the text above refers to a different claiming than this one from the 1st page: "You will need to access your BTT account to send a PM or make a post confirming the ownership of the account to claim your share. "

Nothing yet. Perhaps, stakeholder activists should take care of that so that the core team can focus on blockchain features and building ecosystems. There isn't much need for marketing until open Beta anyway.

HOW ? Ebay has a cryptocurrency section now. NEM value will be more accurately established in an eBay style auction IMHO

I guess that the text above refers to a different claiming than this one from the 1st page: "You will need to access your BTT account to send a PM or make a post confirming the ownership of the account to claim your share. " read the post on the front page of that linkl! and there is written: "For current NEM stakeholders, if you want to have NEM stake asset tokens issued..." "if you want" - so, it is only an option? Not a must ?

Someone who has not been interested in asset token or Nxt asset exchange, may have skipped such posts ... And now a short post about claiming may be a surprise
