Is it possible that one single person can buy all of the auctioned stakes?
I think there is a limit of 2 stakes per auction.

I think there is a limit of 2 stakes per auction. Seems like we are getting away from the most egalitarian distribution if ppl are allowed more than 1 stake pre-launch.

Hm is NEM most egalitarian before ? Do the developers take 3-4% each, don't they ? I am in this because of POI and colored coin. People who help the most should get the most so I don't mind the developers but avoid the term "egalitarian". Giving people according to contribution seems better than dividing everything equally.

Hi guys,
What is the status on the initial distribution? What do we have to do to get our stake?
(2) When will NEM launch? V.1 of the blockchain will launch roughly June 2014. An alpha version of the client for testing will be released roughly May 2014... V1 is after Beta, and Beta probably won't be in June.

May alpha looks unlikely?
As a matter of fact it looks like phase 0 could start just within May. Needless to say i can't guarantee that.

I like that you're making this analysis it might help newbies get an idea of what's what. However I can't take any analysis seriously that gives NAS 2 points for innovation (or any positive number at all). I won't go into what I think about the NEM evaluation since it hasn't been launched and therefore I assume the value is temporary.

Public alpha in May is unlikely, though it looks like we might get something running for developers.
V1 blockchain will almost surely be released within the next few months.

I know someone who will be very happy to see this I am happy because I don't want my stake tied to BTT ID. 2Kool4Skewl already lost his account as his account got banned. He is probably not the only one. Some accounts were hacked too (i.e James jj77). I am not sure how many accounts will never come back and claim their stakes. That number can be as high as 25% (going by the fact that out of 100 Nxt stakeholders only 73 claimed the coins eventually).

Why? I ask again To both "speed" and "egalitarian" can be given some values to describe them. egalitarian is different in the way that in very ideal cases there can be the ideal egalitarian (for example 1 to all). But in practice there are no ideal cases, something must be bent, then can be evaluated the egalitarian value for these, a. 1 gets 20%, 4 get 20% the rest get 60% b. 1 gets 90%, the rest get 10% c. 99.5% gets 0.09% each, 0.5% gets 2% each d. and so on There, calculate the egalitarian, don't whine that there is no egalitarian at all!

Once they proof it's them via a signed message we exchange the old account for the new one. E.g. James already did that and he is not the only one.

I explained my view on that in greater detail before but it pretty much boils down to: egaliarian/fair != equal amounts for everyone

Yes, as long as they have original wallet and can sign or prove it. Otherwise they are screwed

Seems like a lot of hard work though.

It sucks for the people that are affected and were excited about NEM but there's really not much we can do.
