Last year is for Bitcoin. I strong sense that this year would be for Ethereum. See how strong it is when all other crypto currencies are falling heavily. Any prediction anywhere regarding where we will be in 3 months time? I mean for ETH price.

I'm thinking of a new platform that is NEO
ether too slow chimp as bitcoin. Wink

I'd like to see NEO try to process the number of transactions Ethereum is right now. Hint: it couldn't.

I don't care neo or another.

If ethereum network stays like this, some blockchain will take its place at one point. They need to act faster than this.

I totally agree. Still up to this day, I can't believe how the price of Ethereum spiked so much, provided there are so many network tasks to do (or issues to solve). And it is the second most stable crypto at all. Even Vitalik in one of his statements said that he can't take anymore the constant price speculations.

Rah, Rah, Rah, everywhere but no one is seeing the real picture that is going on right now, today. The network is being piggybacked so hard over 100 tb of hash from the gpu's is still not enough to support it. A hard fork is needed right now with an at least 30% of the network going to pos. The price can go to the moon and there  still may not be enough gpu's for it to work properly. People throwing a lot of weight into things that are still only concept like sharding. The network is broke today...

Maybe people is so bored of transaction fees they are not sending their ethereums anywhere and price rising because of it Smiley

I don't understand why ethereum rising these days with that clog.

I dont think that price is rising because people are too lazy to sell their Ethereum, I rather think that the price rise originates from a lot of new people starting out with crypto and do look at Ethereum from a fresh perspective.
I agree though that the network clog will sooner or later have a bad impact on the Ethereum network and reall think that the devs should fix this. But Im certain that they are working hard to solve this issue.

yes I did hear the fork was cancelled but on the other hand the developer is optimistic about the price going higher .

The fork was meant to be on 19-Jan, but I'm not sure that it will happen. It was scheduled, then canceled and again scheduled... I don't know what is it's status right now. New coin is suppose to be named EtherZero, but looking at their web site I don't really have good feeling. It looks rather childish (poor design, font used is Times New Roman...).

Just another fork.... I could make another 28 forks over the weekend and name them
EthZeroOne
EthZeroTwo
EthZeroThree
EthZeroFour
EthZeroFive
....

Or even be MORE innovative and name them
EthTwoDotZero
EthTwoDotOne
EthTwoDotTwo
EthTwoDotThree
...

These forks (EthZero) have nothing to do with Vitalik.

really eth fork happens and named EthZeroOne and so one
i think these forks are good for eth network stabilization
now eth network gas cost is reducing and now eth transaction lowest gas cost fee is 10 gwei
i think soon eth transaction gas price at 1 gwei and become cheapest again

Ok you got me convinced then - I am creating 28 Eth forks this weekend. I am going to "stabilise" the network. LOL.

Ethereum the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, saw its price drop by 5%.
Ripple, the third-largest, was down 15 percent, according to Coindesk.
South Korea has become a hotbed for trading virtual currencies, accounting for around 20% of all global Bitcoin transactions – but that’s brought about a number of challenges for the government.
There are more than a dozen cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea, according to the Korea Blockchain Industry Association, with several being raided this week in a probe into alleged tax evasion.

Some people make it sound like its so trivial a task. "Just do it. Just hardfork and fix it". It's not a question of acting faster. It's a question of figuring out the (best) fucking solution in the first place. This is extremely complex tech. If Bitcoin is a calculator, moving numbers from here to there, Ethereum is a fucking Excel spreadsheet. As a software engineer, it annoys me to high heaven when muggles think it's so simple. Not to mention programmable blockchains are absolutely brand new tech. It's not like we have 30+ years of experience and understanding to fall back on. We're in uncharted space here boys.

I'd also  remind people that every other coin based on blockchain is facing this same problem, and none have a solution that would enable faster processing than what Ethereum is already doing.

yes every token that use eth blockchain i mean ERC20 token have the same problem and facing a lot of time in transaction processing but if you use higher gas fee then your transaction will be confirm normally fast
now on ethgasstation the lowest gsa price in gwei is 6 . i think eth network is stabilizing slowly
and in next coming days gas price should be less then 3 qwei in lowest gas price
i think eth price is going high that's why large number of people making transaction on eth network and eth network facing network congestion

I would like to know why the etherium has risen in price, probably because Vitalik Buterin has announced grants for scaling the network? What do you think about this? I honestly do not think that this is the main reason that the etherium has risen in price

I don't know, but too many congestion in the eth network this days, i was able to get my tokens transferred to exchange after several hours of waiting, my mistake was to use default gas and gwei instead of setting a higher price to have my transaction mined, eth was a better option than btc but now things are really messd up Embarrassed
