in my opinion, the major factor why most ico fail is the drop in the value of bitcoin. Actually, this bitcoin is the precedent why most alts struggle to keep up. From what I can see, bitcoin is dominating the market and it is dictating the moment for some alts. These alts are used by investors to invest in a project. By a continuing dip, the project experiences major loss even before launch, and also finding them hard to persuade investors.

Causes of these are lack of advertisements or encouragement to the investors to invest. It is the fault of people who runs the ICO. Because they failed to let people know about their Project.

- The similar concept of the ICO project with the others, so the investors prefer the first or other ICO with better key features and prices.
- Lack of community spreading the information and promotion ways in order to spread out the project

But the most influential on the failure of an ICO is the team work.  If the team work is less competent and can not develop projects that are created then investors will not trust to join it.
