Ethereum is currently very popular compared to other altcoins but there are many other altcoins that will give you profits not only for ETH. I prefer other altcoins, I don't only hold one coin but some altcoins like EOS, XRP, and Doge. Choose the altcoin that is in the top marketcap.

ethereum is altcoin btw, hold altcoin or ethereum is profitable as we can see ethereum ath is 0.1x btc and I think ethereum and altcoin are currently very cheap so why not buy some to save for 5 - 10 years.

Definitely ethereum. In relation to the other coins, it looks very good. Plus, the update will be released soon.
Well, it looks exactly the same as other coins in a bearish trend , fork did not particularly affect the price of Ethereum , and I doubt that this year will have a coin growth! |

Hey guys what do you think? Is it better to hold ether or altcoins? I think alts are better because they can give you more profit, however it is quiet risky to hold them.
Investing in ETH or altcoin has different advantages and disadvantages. ETH can bring stability but profits are not great. altcoin can bring you great profit but the risk is also very high. In my opinion, you should break down your own investments, maybe 50% for ETH and 50% for altcoin. |

Isn't Ethereum an altcoin? I think you should invest in many different coins and Ethereum too. To keep Ethereum because it falls less is not logical. Ethereum fell more than 10 times last year.

ETH it is also altcoin. I don't know why you are trying to explain something about this. this is the same things. I guess we was talkng about the popularity of ethereum as the main platform that used by hundreds of icos in terms of popularity. It's not the same things when you put your main concern into the definition of ethereum and altcoin. ether is not security |

I prefer to hold Ethereum other than holding some cryptocurrencies because most of them tend to dump when listed on exchanges and this becomes very difficult to rise with time. But with Ethereum as soon as the crypto market rises there is going to be an increase in price.

Ethereum is also one of the altcoins so holding them don't make much difference but you need to make sure that your altcoin is potential enough for the long term investment because lot of all kinds loses its value in the long term that a ethereum is best when compared to others so you need to decide which altcoins to invest best and your criteria I would say ethereum will be best.
You can call Ethereum the best of the existing altcoins. You should better hold it - this year, ETH will go to the Moon. The rest of the tokens will follow their leader. Many of them depend on Ethereum price. |

Keep altcoins that you think good to hold for long term.
And while holding those altcoins, get a bit of Ethereum and if you can take to have more of it that's much better. I love ETH and will keep it until it recovers good.

If you want be patient for next month i think ethereum will pump, but if you want to invest your money right now. I suggest you to invest your money on new Altcoin like AssetSplit. Before you invest you must read a lot about WP of the coin and make your self belive for it.

I do not give any recommendations in a bearish condition like this, it would be better to wait for a more appropriate time to buy, I think bitcoin is still not calm and might be bearish again in a few days so this time is a bad condition if you want to start investing maybe you can wait until bitcoin touches 3000 $ then all the altcoins will go down and you have to buy it quickly before bounce back.
