Ether or altcoins?

for myself this year I tried to hold Ethereum until next year, because I still hope Ethereum will soon rise again even though it is difficult this year, the market is experiencing a severe decline.

I think what you mentioned is both the same, ethereum and the other are altcoins. So both has the same chance of profit. and it would be different if you compare Bitcoin and altcoin, if that the case, then i will vote for altcoins. Purchasing altcoins means we have more chance of getting more profit than purchasing bitcoins.

Very wise opinion, indeed now in an uncertain situation it is better to be careful to follow ico because many are now scams, or at least many are losing money because the price received is below the price of ico, so it is not profitable but loss. for investment it is clearly better ethereum than new altcoins that have not entered the market.

Talking about profitability, we don't know yet and that's the risk in investing.

The only thing that can make ethereum to bring you profit, is if there is a convincing update. If there is just one, it might not rise, but if the first updates succeeds, then another one is announced, you might then see the price rising. If not, there are altcoins that would be better you invest in, but i would recommend you go for those with working products.

Now almost all altcoins are in a bearish trend , and I think that the Ethereum if you buy it now only in the long term as it is not visible that the market could turn in to go in a bullish trend
