I agree on that, I believe that we need to try to buy and hold in both coin because I believe that when crypto begin to rise, this altcoin and ether will also rise, so I think buying it this time will really give as a great advantage to earn a huge amount of profit in the near future. I believe that the market will not fall forever, I think it will really rise soon so let us hold our asset and wait for the right time.

I would bet on both, I invest 50% of the money which I want to invest in BitCoin, then remaining 30% on Ethereum, rest 20% I divide in AltCoins, AltCoins are way cheaper then BTC and ETH, so in 20% of the money, I am able to accumulate a basket of AltCoins.

Now the question is which AltCoin to buy, in the current scenario, lot of myths exists in the industry around various coins. I personally prefer to read upto some extent about the team and what does the coin do, one simple fundamental I follow is to read about the team working behind the coin's development, more than anyone else, it is the team which matters the most.
I think Vitalik and the team should be given a lot of credit to the state of ETH today.

AltCoins that I have picked up are -

1.Tron, and EOS, reason both are having lot of dApps, built around them today. At least some promise exists where gmaing and gambling industry are using crypto.
2.Then I have invested in some of the coins which I personally think would grow big because of the fundamental of the coin, BAT i.e Basic Attention Token, 0X, Maker and SiaCoin.

You can and you should do your own analysis before you start to invest.

Etehereum is currently down, if you want to buy as much as possible, now you can buy it because the price is low. Other Altcoin prices also go down but don't arbitrarily choose Altcoin, you have to determine which coins are good and which ones have good potential so that in the future it can be profitable because it can grow.

I like altcoins much more. Even the fact that Ether is the father of all altcoins, does not makes me buy this coin any longer. The devs are pretty strange guys that are getting their update postponed each time when it closes to the release date.

I think same like you and people who don`t know what to do should follow what most of us are wrote here on forum. Ethereum is very promising platform and I have some ethereums on a side and I always try to add more to that stash. It`s good to have eth for the future. But we must pay attention on other promising projects too. Now it`s the right time to get in those start ups, while they are in early faze of developing, it`s a risky but it can pay off in the future.

I think that ethereum is also a altcoin. Though some people don't think that. If you want to chose ethereum or altcoins. It's upto you. Cause there are high cap Alts like ethereum in this market. They may give you small profits but they are trusted and the risk factor is less for those coins. And there are mid and low cap altcoins. For this coins there is a chance to make big amount of profit if you invest on them . But the problem is how much risk you can take for this kind of investment. Cause they could be exit scam anytime or failed anytime. So it's upto you. I will suggest if invest most of your money in Bitcoin and high cap coins and some of it on low cap coins.
