Got an email from sushi:

Quote
SHIPPING DATE NEVER CHANGED ON MY SITE at sushi-review.com  it's been Feb 28th for the whole time....

The packages were sent already if not it would go out on the 27th, before the price drop takes effect...  Reduced price antminer will ship on Feb 28th

Thank you!

So I might be wrong about it, and the miner went from 'out of stock' to 'in stock'. Let's hope it's already sent, that would give me some opportunity to recover the price difference of 0.012 a day, as seen on the bitmain site (1.45 for shipping on feb 26, 1.438 for shipping on feb 27, 1.426 for shipping on feb 28)..

well that is fair if it shipped sooner.  I would not think the discount would be given .  So if my package comes sooner i am fine with that.  As far a I know it has not been shipped as I did not get a tracking number.  frankly I rather get it 2 or 3 days quicker then get the discount on a later buy. these machines earn more then .012 btc in a day.

When I paid the 2.9 btc on the 20th I was hoping to get them shipped out on the 26th or 27th not the 28th as sometimes sushi ships 1 or 2 days faster. my last 2 were sent out about 2 days ahead of time.

Bought 4 in total on 22nd. Paid for the first 2 & I got communication from Sushi that they would be shipped +/-1 28th, so I went ahead and bought another 2 a few hrs later and that's the same expectancy shipping date.

My only worry is always UK customs, some are saying they pay gbp35 per Ant others have had their items compared to stuff on ebay and charged GBP80+

can someone explain to me .. as a noob .. all the rage over the equipment and prices?  any math i do, these WILL NOT ROI at current price (speaking strictly btc)..

assuming 20% increase in rate and no electricity cost what so ever each ant will profit .2 btc total over 120 days

i understand with the bitcoin price dropping by 50% makes it easier for new miners to enter the space on the current fiat to bitcoin rate but why do so people still buy them if they will never earn back the btc they invested from mining?

Not sure how you calculated 0.2BTC over 120 days but 1 ant from my experience can make that easily in about 14 days

HOMIE DON'T PLAY DAT.. wooft

well one ant can EASILY make .2 btc in a little under 7 days right now on PPS.. TOTAL.. so i guess you should switch pools

each ant will profit .2 btc total over 120 days.. SOOO 1.6 btc EARNED MINUS 1.4 cost = .2 BTC over 10 cycles or 120 days.. PLEASE CORRECT ME. if im wrong

Miner is still working at half speed for last 12 days already.
Ticket submitted to website helpdesk was simply closed without any comments/notifications.
PM with repeated question sent on 21 of February, after 6 days (ok, 3 full business days) I got no reply and no solution.

During 2 months of hosting miner was down for at least 15 days which is ~0.5btc loss. I have tried to ask for OC, but soon understood that it’s completely useless.

Proof is here
http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1GhYHNGjctqJgVerBgGomyJNH4yNPN2L45

According to posts of other users to send it can be tricky as well due to rare communication so I can’t get it shipped to resell somewhere else.

Any ideas?

So I am waiting on my feb 20th order of 2 units. Don't know if they shipped. But here in the states it is 2:24 pm eastern standard  feb 27th   that would be  3:24 am  feb 28th in Beijing.

So I will need to wait for the two I ordered to figure out it I overpaid and get a coupon.
If they shipped already they will get here faster If he ships them from now on I would guess since his listing now reads 1.4 I get 2 x .05 btc discount.
I should get my brother he speaks Cantonese  .

I want more of these  I am going to order again.  next order 2 will be 2.8 btc and maybe a coupon maybe not since I do not know when my feb 20th gear has or will ship.

I'm hip to that.  I'm starting to have buyer's remorse myself.  I placed my order on 02/25.  Hopefully, sushi would be considerate about it.

Does anybody have any indication of some shipment from this current batch yet?  I have to monitor this closely because for some reason, I cannot open an account with either My UPS or UPS My Choice and their tech support personnel are essentially useless (no true troubleshooting skills and just reading off scripts).  Therefore, I don't get auto notification.  The fact that I don't get the tracking number until after a couple of days the package acutally arrives (I don't get it) does not help at all.  As a result of this procedure or lack thereof, I lost 3 days of hashing with the last S1 that I ordered.  So, I have to keep my eye on the ball this time around.

Again, I just don't get it why they are incapable of emailing or PMing me the tracking number right after it ships out so I can track it on the UPS site without having to sign up for an account.  Is that so hard to do?

Got 3 ants today not happy.

Very dusty fans and heatsink. Used for 3 months in hosted mining?
Missing screws.
Bent heatsinks. Like REALLY bent.
Bent power connector. Wtf did you guys just rip them out of the farm and ship?

I won't be ordering from Bitmain again until some compensation is made.

I want all new fans for front and back. And packages of screws for those fans. And screws for the heatsink that are missing.

After these things have been met I will gladly order more units.

Otherwise, you just lost a customer.

Ouch, can you post pics? Also there is only one fan on the miner and it is in the back.

Mine was kinda like that too.  I had to pry out each bent fins and straightened them out.  I thightened up the heat sink screws and cleaned off the squeezed out TIM especially off of the middle screws and cleaned the oily substance on the PCB with pure anhydrous isopropyl alcohol (99.953%) and paper towel.  I also brushed off the lint/dust that accumulated between the fan and fins and used an air duster to clean the fins.  Hopefully, yours would hash as expected after the restoration effort.  Good luck.
