To follow up that 1.35 btc deposit to allow a cross ship was for cross shipping of the ethernet/controller board not an entire machine just the controller.

It's not only unacceptable but also completely unjustifiable.

Your now paying ransom on the product you bought from them to get anything out of it.

Let's see some support in return for all the support received from us purchasing boat loads of product.

IMHO the resale of equipment model is out the window. I wouldn't bank on any of that.

well to be fair.  I could have sent the gear in and waited for it to arrive to them doing no cross shipping.   then I just would lose hash time. and shipping fees.

I ended up shipping it to another seller of the gear  my cost will be 30 to ship 30 to return and at least fri, sat, sun, mon, tue, wed hashing lost.

I would have been fine doing this with sushi's rma people if they never asked for 1.35 btc to cross ship the one part.

Once they asked for this I lost faith in them as I felt insulted at what I consider an attempt on their part to play me for a fool. BTW since I have posted this complaint zero contact from them on the threads on pm's and on my email. No apology no face saver email like we meant for you to send the 1.35 btc deposit for an entire machine replacement not the one part.

The real problem in BTC is this treatment from asic builders to asic buyers. Most likely it will kill off the industry.
Right now as I type the best hash for cash is still an s-1.   No asic builder says I will bury antminer by being a little better deal then they are. As long as builders of mining gear continue on this path the industry will never truly take off.
Sad as there is a need for s-1's as space heaters in many parts of America homes have electric heat.  I live in New Jersey and I am looking at homes in Tennessee and Virginia .  I have found many homes use electrical heat   S-1's  would be great in these homes  use the same amount of power and earn back BTC while you do it. But the opportunity will be lost due to poor service from asic builders.

I know of quite a few  places with electrical heat in New Jersey  I was considering do  a heating setup in a few dozen but with rma service like this nope.  Oh well.

You're being far too accepting but I appreciate the predicament of trying to remain civil under the circumstances in which you have few options.

Before Sushi attempts to flog more units I believe the reason for this ridiculous deposit policy needs to be clearly articulated. It's treating people as being dishonest without reason. Clearly the pictures demonstrate the issue lies with shipping you product that should have never left the factory in the first place. Shameful on both counts.

My AntMiner has spent one month in hosting undermining good sushi in China, but now I do not support.
I do not know a solution for me.

Hopefully you'll get some attention posting information. It's hard to dispute facts and ignoring them also sends a message.

I bought 1 and it's been mining great overclocked for 3 weeks - I was going to buy more but with no comment from sushi about these reported problems I'm wary now.

Yeah when they're good they're good. It's when they're no good that's really disconcerting. Seeing that it could be supplied that way makes it alarming when the fix really isn't a fix.

The solution could be to provide cloud hashing for downtime until a full swap could be carried out and if an inexpensive component part is the Achilles heel of the unit send it without question. Every manufacturer knows their systems vulnerabilities in short order and prepares mitigating strategies if they are to remain in business.

Bought one with hosting...  Still waiting for it to come online.  So far money is in a black hole with no email responses and no mining going on.  Just waiting...

Could buy one from MinerSource they have a setup deal so your Ant will be setup and tested before it ships.

You would assume its working if it was "tested" on the farm for a bit  Roll Eyes

Ours come right out of the box- nothing beyond the 1 hr is done if that is purchased.

Agreed. Return policy also appears to be more reasonable.

I really have no concern for the length of testing as long as the system isn't stressed and the moment I pay for it, it starts on it's way. Yeah inventory ends up competing with us but you think anyone can prevent that?

Thats a possibility as always- however ive never gotten more than pristine almost new units, and sushi himself has delivered more than few to us.

@bobsag3 Why no S1's without the PSU anymore on the site? I'd rather have the option without due to shipping and border costs for what a PSU which can be had locally is worth.

There is the single unit by itself select "products" then have miners checked.

Same boat. I ordered a hosted miner as well and it never came online after a full week. I asked for a refund a week ago because I was so fed up with the process. Still nothing...

Ah. I had everything checked by default. I unchecked and re-checked and there it appeared. Thanks.
