I guess they are having problems they are afraid to make public.
On the other hand it was a beta and coinmarket.io cannot be blamed for any issues.
They can be blamed for not updating us though !

If it was "beta" then why increase the fees.  Whynhave fees at all on a beta??

Sticking a beta label on a site is not a get out of jail free card when they lose everyone's money.

Alright dude you really need to STFU. I get it you're angry you are currently out the coins you had on the site - so am I. But, you're not doing a damn thing that's productive.

You can find a cached copy of their TOS on Google which states:

"Terms of Service

By using CoinMarket.io (the Site),
you (the User) agree to the following terms:
The Site is in open beta.
This means, that it is avalible for public testing, but there may be bugs, downtime and other issues.

The Site and all content and other information contained on the Site is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranty of any kind, whether expressed or implied.

CoinMarket.io makes no warranty that (I) the Site and content or information will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, (II) the results that may be obtained from use of this Site will be effective, accurate or reliable.

The Site may include technical mistakes, inaccuracies or typographical errors. CoinMarket.io reserves the right to change the Site content (including this Terms of Service) and information at any time without notice. We will do our best to inform you about any changes in our Terms of Service.

In no event shall CoinMarket.io or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive damages or consequential damages of any kind, or any damages whatsoever arising out of or related to your use of the Site, the content and other information obtained therein."

I have lost money on the site as well, but your repeated threats really seem to border on you being unstable.

Every single one of these exchanges is a crap-shoot and a crap-fest of cobbled together code by amateurs who aren't qualified to build financial exchanges to begin with.

Most likely every one of these exchanges has been pilfered the same way GOX was end of story. Leaving any amount of coin on any exchange that you aren't prepared to lose is amateur hour. Does it suck? Absolutely! But the only way someone like you is going to get the accountability they want out of these so called, "exchanges" is if this becomes a regulated market. If you want the security you are after then you need to day trade real securities or commodities - you may not make any money, but at least you will have someone to call at the end of the day on a support line to bitch to.

Other than that your threats are moot and quite pointless and whether we get our coins back or not there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. Just like there isn't a damn thing the common man is going to be able to do to get their Bitcoins back from GOX or not take a haircut from using Poloniex.

Ahh crap.  I think I sent coins to an exchange wallet address belonging to Coinmarket (mislabeled by myself unfortunately) last night.  And looking at the current support issues, well, this isn't looking promising.

you are listening to about 2% of the users, who are probably quite young and immature, flipping the fuck out in this thread. At least 2 of the people flipping out in this thread, never even attempted to get support before flipping out in this thread.

Most of us have had no problems withdrawing under this upgrade.

nothing at all about this is like mtgox, people who say it are completely retarded.

I HAVE WITHDRAWN COINS.

I have sent coins and then withdrew them later.

They havetn communicated a lot.
they havent communicated ENOUGH.
But they havent "OMG THEY DISAPPEARED OF THE FACE OF THE EARTH, ZERO UPDATES.. I KEEP PM'n THEM EVEN THOUGH TECH SUPPORT SAYS USE THE THREAD"

But there are some little whiny ass bastards in this thread.

there are a couple people with legitimate problems and grievances who have tried to get help and havent really gotten the help they need yet but a majority of the flipping out "OMG THIS IS MTGOX II" people.. seem to just be trolls trying to spread FUD.

I get being upset. I dotn get being a stupid douche that doesnt read through a thread when upset his money is locked up. I dont get flipping the fuck out over the devs when you havent even requested once.. for help.. not even once. and yall are fucking it up for people who actually need help.

once again, not really happy with the communication and how coinmarket handled this upgrade.  THEY HAVE DONE SOME WRONGS.

but 90% of the freak out in this thead is pure bullshit.

Please cite the source of your information. What validates your confidence? What validates your mockery for the people who were fooled into getting raped by one of the 4 exchanges who are currently having serious issues? Your mockery does nothing but promote apathy and avert progress. Your communication should thereby be reinterpreted in a more positive way, such as "I believe in this exchange, because that is my opinion", instead of attempting to invalidate and mock the legitimate fears and concerns by those who are being raped by the exchanges. We are in this together - for the same reasons. Lets try and be more supportive. BTC

And not a single part of that TOS would stand up to a court of law.

I agree, beta is bullshit and a cop out for when they screw up and walk away with everyone's coinage, oh well it was a beta and it failed" better luck next time. They need to come in here and communicate  UNLESS they are not coming back?Huh

They would be better to say: Website is in "Bullshit mode"

One of our users also by mistake sent btc earlier today to his bitcoin wallet address on coinmarket.io, thought it was set to another exchange(bad mistake) transaction actually went through which means the wallet addresses are online still.

Now it's time to pray they are working hard to bring the exchange online.

Create an exchange, write "use it at your own risk" and then noone can blame you for anything.

Lets see what happens , unfortunately if coinmarket.io does not come back up it's just another step towards regulation.

just a note about my recent experience:
on March 3 (the exchange had short online period) I cancelled all my orders and requested withdrawal (USDe and BTC). I received two confirmation emails right away (so I confirmed both). Then I received my BTC during an hour. USDe is somewhere in a limbo though (never received).

Coinmarket - I have over 4 million RDD that I tried to withdraw that are now in limbo, as well as a .15 btc deposit which has not yet been confirmed.  When are these issues expected to be fixed?

Hey Guys, I noticed that they were having a lot of down time prior, hence why i withdrew my coins before the extensive down time period !

It's pretty slack on coinmarket.io for not providing better communication with it's users but hey, they did say that it was a 'As is Beta' and last time I lost money I learn't to take the following precautions to mitigate risk online Cheesy

1. Don't use exchanges or online market places as a storage wallet; I recommend depositing funds, then doing your business and withdrawing the next day or before you leave the computer. Don't leave coins unattended for a week or so otherwise you might get a nasty surprise (SR2 for me) or some unexpected down time.
2. Keep a local wallet for coins you trade with, so you can quickly send coins to and from the exchange/market place when you are not at the computer
3. Pay attention to whats going on, keep informed and do some research on the exchange you want to trust your money with

It's simple guys, regulation isn't going to help the community.. if anything it will damage cryptos like 'regulation' did to fiat and will allow for greedy wall street bastards to get their grubby mits on our money

Peace guys, happy crypt o-trading Smiley

Surprise surprise, another day without a single update from coinmarket.io

This exchange is dead, and the kid running it hasn't got the balls to tell everyone what has happened.  Roll Eyes
