G'morning, folks... Can anyone provide a working example config for "Wallet Mining" ? I'm playing around with an older Windows XP machine that actually has a decent CPU/GPU in it, so for interests sake I put a copy of the BTQ 32-bit Windows Wallet on it. Runs fine, no issues. I currently have 11 connected peers, and am up to date on network transaction history. So, all is well on that front. I went to the console and entered "setgenerate true 1" followed by "getmininginfo" and got what seemed to be reasonable data back. I left it run all night, and as of this morning, can't see that anything has actually happened. All of the dedicated CPU/GPU miners that I can find do not run on WinXP ... they immediately crash out. Hence the interest in getting "Wallet Mining" working on this box. Thanks in advance for any help that's provided!

http://btq.ext-pool.net/Ive been p2pool mining on this pool. Also, if you are p2pool mining, the name and password in your config file doesnt matter. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0This is a good miner to use for the quark algorithm. Just download any of the windows binaries that includes "QRK". My .bat file for mining on that p2pool looks like this. sgminer -k quarkcoin -o btq.ext-pool.net:2020 -u PutYourBTQAddressHere -p X -I 16 -g 4 -w 64
Happy mining! If you have any issues just post here and we will help ya out.

I really wish the person running CPU-Pool.net would lower the confirmation from 260 down to 140 Well if you weren't mining at 15Mh/s then it WOULDN'T be such an issue! NOW WOULD IT???

Ok guys I've about got the BitQuark Lotto page finished So next question for everyone...How would you guys like to do the drawing? Every 6 hrs, 12 hrs, 24 hrs? Twice a week? or Once a week? So to recap on how it works, for every 10 BTQ's it will equal one entry and the winner will get 75% of the pot...the other 25% will go towards bounties and future development.

1) Is there a "known good" CentOS build procedure? I took a shot at getting the Github BitQuark-0.8.3.8-r16 to build on CentOS release 5.10 and it's not playing well.
Just a quick update to this... I seem to have a working instance of BitQuark-0.8.3.8-r16 to build on CentOS release 5.x now ... going to let it run for a day or two to verify stability, then duplicate it to another machine. If it works twice, I'll post here with the steps required. TTFN.

I feel like once a day would be too much. Maybe twice a week? Also how do you use the blockchain explorer to search by address?

Yea I'm also thinking twice a week would be best.
The block explorer that I'm currently using doesn't allow for address look up. I've only found one that does allow address look up and you have to setup a SQL database for it. If I remember right the name of it is Abe block explorer. I may test it out and add it in the future.

Something I've notice with a lot of crypto's and exchanges...it looks like most crypto's don't get their spotlight til the coin supply reaches around 4 Million coins for coins with total mintage around 20 - 25 Million coins. Has anyone else noticed this?? BitQuark will hit 4 Million coins minted around February 2015 So with that being said, Mine, Mine, Mine, & Mine some more!!! Example: Look at Darkcoin; Algo: X11 Coins to be Issued : 22,000,000 Block Time : 2.50 minute(s) Block Reward : 7.00 coins Minted Coins : 4,313,981 DRK Current Fiat Value : $ 8.31 USD Now look at BitQuark; Algo: Quark Coins to be Issued : 21,000,000 Block Time : 30 secs. Block Rewards : 2.50 coins Minted Coins : 576,855 BTQ Current Fiat Value : $ 0.015 USD So I think BTQ has a very bright future in the crypto world!!

There are limitations to "DarkSend", like you can only send a maximum of 10 DRK coins. Also by it being sent from "unknown" addresses, you can't have stuff like lotteries and other games that rely on having to know the senders address.

OOOOOOOOOHHHhhh. A whole 0.001BTQ a day? What ever would I do with all that coin?Considering that even a single computer CPU mining can expect no less than 10 BTQ or so a day pool mining, I dare say no one will pay you any attention.
