If you do go remote managed, I highly recommend Linode. Their $20/mo package is probably all you'd need. EVER!

Its safer to run remotely, unless you were planning on getting a static ip in addition to your normal home ip. Ive had the idea of running a pool for a while now but im just too lazy to learn. Anyone have any guides?

Not sure what this means...but I spy with my little eye a BitQuark...

Perhaps we'll see some magazine articles regarding BitQuark soon like so:

https://www.coingecko.com/en

Would be nice to get BTQ listed at CoinGecko for more exposure.  The more places BTQ pops up, the better.

Just want to update you guys on what I've been busy doing. I have setup a BitQuark MPOS pool that I will be hosting from my own server located at my home :-) I will also migrate bitquark.info over to my server. I still running tests on the pool and I should have it up and ready by the time cpu-pool.net goes offline Oct. 1st. Also I will being running the pool at 0% fee. The only fee's that will apply are 0.1% for Manual withdraws and 0.01% for Auto-withdraws. So donations via the pool's control panel will be greatly appreciated :-D

Thanks guys and keep on mining!!!

I wish all coin devs put in the support you do.  Can't wait for the online auction.  In the meantime, I'm still posting items for sale on craigslist and backpage for Bitquark.  Hopefully once enough items get posted and are online long enough when someone searches for bitquark they'll see there's real stuff you can buy with it.

Just created an account and sent a request to get BTQ listed.  So far I've been trading all my other junk coins for BTQ at C-Cex.com to try and work on acculating as much BTQ as I can.

Update:  I received a response from Allen Byron Penner (Atomic Trade) on Aug 20 13:16 that they would not be adding BTQ to the exchange at this time.

Oh well...I guess I'll have to keep giving fees to C-Cex.com for BTQ trades LOL.

Trading volume is still very low comparatively speaking. I don't think it's necessary or even advisable to spread it out too thin at such an early stage. Pool and exchange operators are waking up to shitcoins and using better judgement accepting new ones. This is healthy for the overall proliferation of crypto currencies in general.

1,927.08500 BTQ = $1 USD

Price is down significantly due to Bitcoin price being down.  Great time to buy up!  I'm moving out of KARM and putting it all into BTQ.

I run several servers in a pair of world-class data centres as part of the company I own / operate.  If you want to have bitquark.info on gigabit links, let me know.  I'd be happy to do so as a "help" to the BTQ community; no fees.

Until there's a better place for it (like the BTQ Auction House or that Crypto Flea Market)

http://ftlauderdale.backpage.com/MiscForSale/70-used-next-mountain-bike-bitquark-or-bitcoin/27573074

Used NEXT Mountain Bike for sale in Davie, FL for just over 14,000 BTQ.

If everyone else would do the same, sell some junk on backpage for BitQuark, that could really help the exposure.

Are the logo files available anywhere in PSD or INDD formats?  I have a friend at Diamond Vape that accepts Bitcoins interested, but they need to build some promotional materials for the store so they asked for high-rez since it will be printed materials.

Might also be a good idea to have a marketing materials section on the website so adopters can produce their own materials for storefronts, or at least make it easier for people to share BTQ.

Awesome and thanks.  Once they're done with the signs for the store we'll take some photos and figure out a place to post the high-rez CMYK versions of the art files.

Just an FYI, I stumbled across this article (over a month old) heavily mentioning BTQ:

https://www.coinpayments.net/coinreq

Put in a request to have BTQ accepted at coinpayments.net  Could use more people requesting it.

If you're in the mood for fresh organic vegetables during your next vacation to Ft. Lauderdale, a friend of mine who also accepts bitcoin for his locally grown goods has agreed to get into BitQuark with me too so we'll have photos of the produce with a BTQ accepted here sign in the near future.

Then there's always craigslist.com and backpage.com and miamiunivision.com where you can find ads from people selling stuff for bitquark.

http://miamiclasificados.univision.com/MiscForSale/70-used-next-mountain-bike-bitquark-or-bitcoin/27573074

Be nice to get a mobile wallet!!!  At least the paperwallet is working.
