P2Pool: http://96.126.121.117:9404

What is P2Pool?

P2Pool is a decentralized approach to pool mining. Rather than connecting to a single pool, the system operates through the combined efforts of many miners who are attached to 'nodes'. No need to register a user account, and any blocks that are mined are split on a PPLNS basis. Biggest benefits? Massively reduced chance of DDOS (use a few nodes for a failover) and coins are sent directly to your wallet.

How do I start mining?

  • Point your miner to: stratum+tcp://96.126.121.117:9404
  • Use your GPUCoin address as the user (you can set anything as the password, it doesn't matter).

Fine Tuning:

It is suggested to set a mining difficulty. This can be set by appending a value after your username, to calculate this value use the following formula:

Hash Rate * .0000011641

So if your hash rate is 1930 KHash and your wallet address was GNTzNHAxz3fVoZiVmBFbraUwN9GQEM5XTa, you'd want to set it up like so:

(1930 * .0000011641) = 0.002246713

Resulting in...

GNTzNHAxz3fVoZiVmBFbraUwN9GQEM5XTa+0.002246713

Vertminer Tuning:

  • Intensity: <= 19 (or lower - you want to maximize the responsiveness of your miner)
  • Queue: 0
  • Scantime: 5

GPU Configs

Asus R9 280X
-v 1 -w 256 -I 13 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-cutoff 90 --gpu-memclock 1800 --gpu-engine 1080 --thread-concurrency 8192 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 60-100 --temp-target 75

I get about 390Kh/S

REMEMBER:
  • 4 GPUS, at least 5-6 GB of RAM
  • 5 GPUS  at least 7-8 GB of RAM
  • 6 GPUS  at least 10GB of RAM

I have one right running 6 GPUs @ 12 GB; another 4 GPUS @ 4 GB (With the 5th GPU disabled). If I unplugged the 5th GPU all together, it will only let me run 3 GPUS @ 4GB. Yes, N-Scrypt is werid.
--thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 -I 12 -Q 0 -E 10 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1150
4GB RAM with 5 280x
each 280x got 150 Kh..

With similar settings, I am getting about 280KH/s on each of 4 R9 280x's.  I think my issue is memory.  I only have 4GB on that system.  Maybe I need to add more RAM...

I have 6 280x on one motherboard and I have only 4GB of system ram. I get 370kh/s on all 6 cards n-scrypt, 750kh/s on scrypt. I am using --TC 8193 -g2. I also have 5 270x on one motherboard and still 4GB system ram.

Shocked can u please post settings including memclock and vdcc, and brand please. Cant get past 340 on my 4 r9 280 dualx sapphieres

4 out of 5 of my miners just show

"Error -5: Enqueing Kernel onto command queue. <clEnqueueNDRangeKernel>"

Any ideas.

One miner is fine, 2 miners have one card working and show this error for the other cards, 2 miners show "OFF" for all cards and this error

Thanks

arrgggghhh Giving up on this coin, not wasting another nights hash.

Good luck guys Smiley

Your thread count is too high for how much system ram you have. Use -g2 for 2 threads and lower thread count. Or buy more ram.

Buy more RAM, damn was hoping to be buying GPUs with this coin, LOL

How much would I need, I though all miners have 16GB, would 32GB work, seems expensive just to mine a coin.

Just notice the diff is already up to about 5 so my 8mhs wont make me a GPU now anyway.

Hope this works out goo for the power hashers as its a cool concept.

Happy mining all

If those are 290's then they probably have a high thread concurrency and you may need 8GB+. 270s and 280s should only need 4GB with using 2 threads and lower thread concurrency.

Wait what? Has mining already started for this coin? All the pools show active hashing, but I thought the release was later today???

Check out this site for legit free BTC. It's like an hourly free lottery ticket that always pays out at least 300 satoshi, and could net you over .3 BTC if you're really lucky. Just gotta fill out a captcha each time. (basically a faucet with chance of real reward)

First 2600 blocks are only worth 1 coin so you haven't missed much

Can 1 of the Dev's or someone with more experience please help.  Cry I am trying to compile linux source and I have all the required dependencies installed yet I still failed to compile the Linux Wallet

the 4 compiling errors are:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_system-mgw48-mt-s-1_55
...ditto.......................-lboost_filesystem...................
...ditto........................-lboost_program-options..........
...ditto..........................-lboost_thread.....................

I found 1 google search where it said the error was in the wallet source....not sure.... but even though I have compiled other wallets before I am still fairly new to Linux.

Please help

Memory clock and VDCC are not important here. Put your BF on 1020 / OC on 1000 GPU clock and --thread-concurrency 8191,8192,8192,8192.

GPUCoin p2pool node
COME ON GUYS - WE NEED YOUR MHS ! Wink

BIGGER PAYOUTS THAN IN A STRATUM MINE !!
DDOS RESISTANT

http://freebtc.eu:9404/
1% fee
ALSO REMEMBER THAT PAYOUT GOES STRAIGHT TO YOUR WALLET AFTER EACH BLOCK !! YOURPAYMENTS WILL GROW OVER TIME (2-4 hours) SO DON'T PANIC IF YOU GET SMALL PAYOUTS AT THE BEGINNING

USAGE:

Code:
vertminer.exe -o freebtc.eu:9404 -u your_wallet_address -p x

GO TO http://taken.pl/generator.html TO GENERATE SCIRPT OF CGMINER ACCORDING TO YOUR HASHRATE TO GET SAHRES WITH SUITABLE DIFF . FOR EXAMPLE -u YourWalletAddress+0.00081490 for 700khs
Here's how the p2pool works : http://forum.netcodepool.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=672

Vert, it's scrypt-n

It's just confusing because nothing works for me.

Here are my Vert settings, and the errors.

What can I do to make it run?

Why do all the pools say CGMiner. It's one of those annoying things. I'm mean why no instructions for Vertminer. Pools read this and do something, else it's just going to frustrate the people who can't get this working.
