Bounty hunters are a cheaper way to attract traffic for the project and its advertising on social networks. A lot of people show interest in the project and perhaps among them are potential investors who see interest in the project, buy its tokens.

It's just advertising. There are several types of advertising. One of the approaches in marketing is the imposition. Whether you like it or not, you'll see the project every few minutes. This is the purpose of the bounty.

Right said. Bounty project is a big advertisement of any ICO project. Project admin take a target to spend his project in the world very fast and safety. Bounty is most effective way to spread any project. Now bounty rewards so less. Bounty Hunters working hard but they do not get enough. Bounty and announcement thread most likely advertisement system.

What's the point in distributing 2% towards bounties??

Those people will flip the tokens as soon as they get them, and it's usually much less people than it looks like due to multi-account.

Also the quality of the post is very low even for hero and "legendary" members.

If I had a coin I would never ever distribute part of the tokens towards bounties; I'd see that as a kick in the nuts to legit ICO participants.
So can you provide a one man human resources specially on marketing field? If no bounty, there will be no bounty participant who can spread the idea and advertise your project around the social media or even on this site. Dude, make sense...big companies need those simple worker ( bounty hunter and other stuff ). They will never reach their goal if  they stick only on their limited force and field.

Hi there!

Yeah true the fact that most bounty hunters will dump there rewards and why not? They have done work for it so they want there payment. Its the fault of the project itself in my opinion.
They could give out the rewards with a lock uo period for a month or so, or divide the rewards in certain amount wich will be send out over a period of time. This way the dumping wont be felt that much. It doenst take the price down when the volume of the coin is good.

But there are alot of bounty hunters that like the project and hodl but there are alot more that sell off there coins directly because they like to be paid out fast. Its hard but both arguments are right i think.

Greetings! Cool

This is your thinking, not of the ICO owner thinking , first of all you need to think that why they are doing this work , is it necessary or not or what are advantages of this thing to distribute 2% or even more about between the bounty campaign participants .
In actual this is a big need for the ICO project to make Thier project popular and here they are paying in token value and clearly that results into free advertisement for them .

Bounties are not stupid, this is the cheapest way to to advertisements and marketing.
Bounties give highlights to ICO and gather more investors.
If you think it is not worth to have then dont join the march.

Then you will never get investors, indeed bounty hunters are the persons who promote your ICOs. If you don't allow that, how can you have investors? Also, bounty hunters make the system decentralized by participating in the bounty as they get token rewards.

2% bounty distribution means it depend on how much token will be sold out. 10% is a large amount in total supply because where the developers token? 2% is not a small pool in bounty. Many hunter participate with multi account for to get big payment.

You are supporting many wrong assumptions here, why should all of them sell their ICO tokens immediately? I think everyone is doing a good research which bounties are promising ones and if you apply for a scam coin it's your fault. I always join interesting projects with future and not intend to sell all directly after listing. HODL can be much more profitable.

And Bounty is necessary to make your project known: Bitcointalk, social media, articles and videos.

Yes? Try it! I'm interested how your project will fail and struggle to get investors in. Many bounty participants are also investors.  Smiley

Yes, Bounty is very helpful for companies to promote their projects. with Bounty, many investors are interested in investing because if the company has a lot of bounty hunters, it is an added value for investors.
and in my opinion there are many companies that have successfully used Bounty as their advertising tool.

I think you have to think twice about your post. The reason is if you are a wealthy man you can join an ico. so what about the others? As a bounty hunter, they do a task to earn some coins.

Perhaps you are right on some side, but for a long time all projects have such a practice of "fooling their participants." 2 percent will be allocated to bounty hunters-and at the end of the project it turns out that no more than 0.5 percent. As for me, what a product, such a seller.

Hi there,

You are absolutely right in the sense that bounty tokens harm the investors of ICO. Even pre-sale tokens would result in flipping and ICO investors to lose. On the other hand by utilizing bounties projects spread the word about them. They would somehow benefit this.

There must be rules for ICO's to distribute bounty tokens at least one month after token hits the exchange. This way investors would be protected.

Kind regards,

I somehow agree with you in the aspect of the dumping, but it doesn't make bounties stupid. You should know that bounties is a form of paid advertising.

Well then you'll be keeping all those tokens to yourself and the project will be as good as dead. Its not about the bounty hunters, its about the distribution and marketing, and unless you can have another way to make sure that your token gets circulation and the marketing is being taken care of, then go for it. Keep all the tokens in your own wallet. Do make some buy and sell orders yourself and no issues.

I can not agree with you because bounty campaign is a good way to earn. And for the organizers of ICO, this is a great way to attract customers.

I am not agree with you that bounties are stupid as i am doing bounties from long and getting decent earnings from here. Those who know this market strength and hold their coins always got good earnings.

I think that the bounty activities are meaningful for the new ICO project. They need to promote their projects through some platforms such as signatures or Twitter. If not, they will not know what they are, so the bounty is meaningful.
