bounty programs support the success of the ico program, thanks to the bounty that the ico succeeded and reached out to many investors as well as promoting the brand of the company.

What's the point in distributing 2% towards bounties??

Those people will flip the tokens as soon as they get them, and it's usually much less people than it looks like due to multi-account.

Also the quality of the post is very low even for hero and "legendary" members.

If I had a coin I would never ever distribute part of the tokens towards bounties; I'd see that as a kick in the nuts to legit ICO participants.

It's actually true specially for everyone who sells immediately after they receive their bounty rewards. It plummets the price of the token in the market by a significant margin and it's pretty baffling how true ICO investors could take this kind of price manipulation.

They only think of profits even if it's small and destroying the price that has been applied when the ICO is running.

That's the irony of it. The small 2% has the biggest impact in the market pricing of tokens. I guess bounties pretty much screwed themselves by allowing people to flip their tokens immediately upon release. But I don't really see bounties complaining about flippers anyway. At the end of the day, all they have is the money of the investors.

even though what happens on the ground is true that participants will definitely sell tokens after getting it, but isn't that a fair thing when they are finished with their work and have to wait even longer.

Bounties are still ways to earn cryptocurrencies for those that do not have funds to invest even if the rewards are small.

Yes, now a lot of bots, and of course do multiaccounts, I think you need to change the bounty and then you can earn, and now there is no efficiency in the bounty (

I'll give you links to 2 coins, one gave 10% to bounties, another promised 1.2% but gave 0.4%. Try to guess which
one was generous, and which one wasn't

The problem is that these 2 percent of total cap are peanuts. Because on the current market, even very successful projects are collecting 1-2 million USD. And these 2 percents that the bounty hunters get are around 30-40k USD worth.

The question then is how do you get cheap labor to spread the word regarding your product?  I don't think for the measly bounty amounts people get your going to get Mark Twain type of writing skills and quality.  I think a lot of the time the projects are expecting world class content for pennies on the dollar.
I agree with you mate even you have a team that will spread your products it will took too much time and effort to make it spread just like how bounty hunters do in their daily tasks that they participated in bounty campaigns. And I think it depends to the ICO's if they don't like the bounty participants that don't have a quality posts.

Yes it is just 2% and the 2% would be divided by the campaigns that they would open signature, translation and social campaigns.
Not to mention that there are so many participants so my question is 2% of the whole supply isn't really big deal since more people would be participating and they aren't the main reason why the price is dropping they only hold 2% and some of us are keeping our share or holding it for a long time.

what we do as a bounty hunter is an attempt to get benefit from the discussions that we did in this forum, I believe that participating in some good ICO projects is not a fool.

I disagree with you; bounty campaigns are a very valuable marketing force for promoting new projects. No one needs to pay dollars, but tokens are distributed that so far have no value in fact, this is a very cheap labor force. Secondly, how can you convey your idea of the project to the target audience, you can spend millions of dollars on advertising and nothing happens. And third, not all hunters are so stupid, many very intelligent people who are worth listening to.

If you are a full-time hunter, you may get tired of the bounty because it is no longer profitable, but if you regard the bounty as a hobby, then it is still suitable for work!

High level bounty hunters that did not sell one of 2 coins I mentioned in previous post and ran signature
for the full duration of campaign, now have around 200ETH worth coins...how is that not profitable?

I know these people, their earnings in the amount of $ 12,000 - $ 20,000 decreased to $ 1,200 - $ 2,000 in the last 8 months. Now they do not earn anything, and I am talking about professionals. Bounty now do not bring profit, rather spend time.

You still didn't check coin I'l talking about, did you? It raised 14X in the last 8 months, so actually their 1,200 - $ 2,000 increased to $ 12,000 - $ 20,000 if they didn't sell, and
not the other way around

Of course, it depends a lot on both knowledge and luck to pick right projects to promote

Why are bounties stupid? if you don't believe in bounties that doesn't mean it's stupid, also bounty hunters can sell or hold where as ico participant also sell when they deem it fit to sell.

ICO price dumps are caused more by presale investors than bounty hunters...
if you have $1m to invest at lets say 40% presale discount, its easy $400k to collect at day one
if you're there just for money...and that $1m is probably way bigger than all bounty hunters
got together

It is easier to give 2% of coins or tokens for advertising than to spend a lot of money on it.
