I also bought bitcoins above their present value, but I do not despair, and count on the fact that in the near future their rate will begin to grow and next year my investments will be justified. So do not lose heart and hold the coins for at least a year.

Only one thing you can do now - wait! Bitcoin will cost more than 20,000 USD, we all know it, but we don't know when it will happen. Just don't sell it.
There is actually no person in this world who can predict if the values of bitcoin are going to cross higher than $20,000 USD in the future, I guess if the crypto-currencies trading market are still going to remain bearish for the next few months, I believe a lot of investors might start to lose hope in the whole crypto-currencies trading market, as there are a lot of investors who is putting their hopes to see the return of the bull market at the last quarter in year 2018.

I got into the bitcoin again last year after losing all my 4.5 bitcoins to ponzi schemes early last year. I bought in bitcoin again at $20k. Now bitcoin is $6k+.  I'm regretting my actions.  Huh
Yes, that so hurt, that's why before we join in investment we must learn it, dont join only because profits, we also must learn about loss
About bitcoin last years at $20K, just wait, i think this years bitcoin will break new high price then you can sell it
Also you can keep hold it for benefits in the future

It is really a big loss for you! You lost 4.5 BTC and again your investment turn out into a big loss! But I think you shouldn't sell in loss anymore. As you invested only 8 months ago, then you can hold your bitcoin for more one- two years! Within these times, bitcoin may go to more than 20K USD again. That's why don't lose your hope and keep holding bitcoin!

Yes, a sad fact. Well, what can I say, wait! Soon bitcoin will cost $ 100,000. So in no case do not sell on 6k. Patience is your friend. Now you can still buy bitcoin at 6k $ to average the rate in your portfolio.

Well, it's all part of the investment of cryptocurrencies to lose value in a very quick time and you're supposed to expect a drastic decrease in price especially with this kind of volatility for an unregulated kind of currency. There's no shame with what you're feeling now since the decline was unexpected.

You start with a fairly high purchase price, do not waste your capital anymore, you must continue to hold on until the price returns to the purchase price. You need to learn more about market price movements because market prices are very important to know so that making decisions can be accurate. now the price is still cheap, you can try to buy so that the more bitcoin you have.

It's a lesson from your end not to fall again in ponzi scheme and be careful on your investment. With regards to the Bitcoin you bought at $20k i think you will not lose your investment if you just hold it for a long time, Bitcoin will surely reach new ATH in the years to come.

now you have to be patient with this situation, keep your bitcoin hold until you are at a price above $ 20k. if you do panic sell you will only get losses and cannot get big profits. so I think I still be patient with this price reduction.

yes, that is one way to avoid losses for now. but, you can also cover it up by trading. but, it will be very risky, and can make you lose the assets you have today. if you want to be safe, then accept the reality, and do real business.

Yeah I totally agree with you, in this situation just hold it for long term, I think the price Bitcoin will back again, but not in this year, maybe in 2020 - 2022.

make this an experience, if you consider your biggest mistake, then don't repeat this error
It is not advisable to buy bitcoin at high prices, because the value of bitcoin is always changing, making all your decisions about bitcoin a risk
if you buy bitcoin, then you have to understand the risk
and your biggest risk is that the price of bitcoin becomes 0 USD, it also includes risks

You should not bought that hype, but since its been done already what i can say is hold and never sell that coins, because that would be another big losses if does

Maybe it will took another years but since youre not in a hurry, waiting for that time won’t give you pain, because after years you will earn all that losses from the first failure until this one

I think buying BTC during the bull period last year is still a blessing compare to buying ALTS at that same period because almost all alts have gone 1/10th if the ATH price including ETH. BTC as a low volatile coin still promises some returns in the nearest coming time.

If there is something optimistic, it's a history of repeated booms and falls and then new highs. Bitcoin is still the topic that attracts the attention of investors and the media. Regardless of regulatory constraints, technical constraints, and regulatory adjustments as mentioned above, bitcoin is still No. 1 in the Blockchain revolution. The future of bitcoin depends on many factors, not just its followers, and the volatility since after 2013 demonstrates that the way forward with this virtual currency is uneven. Have confidence in bitcoin, it will give you higher profits than you spend.

Don't be upset. We all make mistakes. I think you've learned your lessons now and you'll be a better investor.
