For those concerned with OpenSSL. Don't worry about your EMC2 coins. 1. From what we are being told by our dev, the TLS functions for public operations that is an active part of bitcoin, is not an active part of EMC2. This is where the bugs risk lie. The bug is with a very specific function not being used by EMC2. Unlike KGW issue which presented a major risk, the risk for us on this is minimal. 2. However, just to be on the safe side our developer said he will put in the bug fix with the rebuild of the wallets he is working on which should be out soon.
We don't want people to go into a panic about this issue, the function in question is not being used by our coin, and our developer is actively working on the coin here as evidence of the hard fork to address the KGW issue. In some ways for some scrypt coins this is a PR move. It's not an active function in their coin. We do have an active developer, who is on top of the major risks and addresses them immediately.
Hopefully this helps those who were concerned about this issue.
It seems the issues in China have been holding down the market more than anything. The reality is this bug is something easily fixed, and does not effect as many coins as people think. It is also something easily resolved, software bugs such as this are an active part of development. However, the issues around China have nothing to do with this development churn, and ultimately they are something out of our control that our developer cannot analyze, impliment, test, and fix. It is a political issue in a country our developer does not even live in. If there was a bug fix around cryptos in China, we would impliment it immediately. Sadly, it has to do with people and power.

Guys I am trying to get started on EMC2.
What is the best pool around..?
It depends on your rig. The P2P are good if you have a decent rig. Otherwise just find an active pool and hop on.

It depends on your rig. The P2P are good if you have a decent rig. Otherwise just find an active pool and hop on. Single 290X. you can hop on p2pool then! you only need your wallet address and thats all. search for a node near you. If you are in Europe you can try emc2.gr2pool.eu cheers!

No it's not, but once the market moves past the China issue, the crypto world in general will be healthier. Part of the problem is that it has been lingering in the background and causing somewhat of a problem, but no real clarity other than rumors.

Right now Im on Panic buy mode with this price !! My btc are stock on blockchain edit: debug,TIME TO BUY AT DIRTY PRICE MUAHAH There were some big dumpers. Right now it's a value again. My own stash grew as a result of this drop. The dumpers are suckers. In other news, our POC with experiment was on vacation, we are still in talks with them, and they got back to us recently. While the market price fluctuates, those of us at Einsteinium are churning forward. There may be other big news for the organization soon as well. We are not slacking off.
