I think that what ICO rating sites say can only be used as a reference is not fully trustworthy, they only give a value that they think is the best according to them, so we just choose which Ico is the best of the best than we have to do our own research besides consuming time and not necessarily legit or it could be a scam

99% of ICO are scam today...the problem is to find the new coin that can do a big % of price grow...we must look for coins that are not ico or bounty but people are too stupid for this....I regret I did not get bought coins like litecoin, vertcoin or viacoin when they were very very low in 2015...there is a good dose of luck of course, but you must always do your own researches...for example watch Elicoin in livecoinwatch , is not an ICO or bounty... it's a coin with low mc, low supply, PoW whit cpu, no premine, active dev...only trading it on CREX24 for now...do you own researches in the thread in bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3028302.0... people are too stupid for DYOR and got scammed by ICO or bounty...just my 2 cents...hope it helps...cheers

Hey guys. Remember, in crypto sphere we can’t trust anyone! ICO rating sites are lying to us, you have to do YOUR OWN RESEARCH always! Remember this, and don’t let yourself be scammed!

We should not trust anyone. There are so many scams in ICO today. So, we must be careful and smart in choosing our projects. Whether it is so hard to detect which one is scam or not but learning by doing. Experience is the best teacher.

Doing own research is a must, even the ICO ratings are trust-able. ICO ratings are not the indicator of a quality or proven ICO project. They don't do very deeply research about the team or whitepaper. Moreover, some ICO projects pay the ICO rating platform to have high ratings. So, in this case, we cannot blame the ICO ratings. We must do own research to get a trusted project with our knowledge and experience.

you are totally correct. those kind of ico rating sites are being used for manipulating the icos before crowdsales. so they can collect more money by getting high ratings on those sites.

Evaluation sites only add popularity to some ICO companies and this is done in order to attract a huge mass of people.

Yes, in this online lawless space anything can be manipulated by anyone just for his selfish interests. This is the reason why it is very important to always do personal research before investing in any project out there.

That's why "do Research" is more important than trusting the rating sites. But we can't totally judge the rating sites, because they got paid to advertise some ICOs by giving big ratings.

Trusting in the whole world has become very risky, very glad that many people understand this, so I just align myself with the words that have already been said and said today by many people, just try not to trust people and everything will be fine.

I think we should have a big analysis before making decisions because we can not trust anyone. All the statements are just theoretical. Especially in the crypto market is very complex and it only makes information. And we should base on the fact before making a decision.

At ICO we have a huge amount of scams. They are often carried out on the same principle as on traditional crowdfunding platforms: a fraudster comes up with a project that is not going to be implemented, issues tokens, launches ICO, collects money and disappears. It may be that the product will not meet the stated requirements at all: for example, a startup raised money for the opening of the clinic, and instead began to produce slot machines. In all cases, the investor loses-at least time, as a maximum of all invested money. Reliable ways to protect against fraud, alas, does not exist. But there are signs that you can evaluate a startup and with some probability to assume whether it is fraudulent, and if not, whether it will benefit.

People are using the values associated with decentralization-transparency, trust, etc. to scam people into letting down their guard and believing in the project and its future value based on the problems it intends to solve.

Hopefully machine learning will help us predict which are scams and which aren't one day. And maybe people will be less motivated by financial reward once technology democratizes great quality of life for less, so people won't be as prone to being scammed or getting scammed.

I personally don’t even trust my mobile network sometimes
In crypto currency trust is minimal, best decision is better be worked upon

There is nothing like being informed. But you have to inform yourself. No-one is going to take you by the hand and tell you how it is. You have to read, learn and wait and watch. Yes and listen too. After some time, you'll observe how the market behaves and you'll develop skills in how to read it. But there is not substitute for eating your veg and drinking your milk and and building yourself up to be a crypto-knowledgeable person. It takes work. Hard work and perseverance. It will pay off, though.

Bitcoin and many other altcoin are supposed to he trustless and that is why we have open project and protocol that help you to transact and conduct business successfully without third party! ICO is very close to gambling and if you are investing in ICO you must make your own conclusion before you invest!

yeah thats true, in my experience i usually check to see if that is the real ICO, to invest or not. Because I like to self check  more than  dependent on others. So I usually get less scam. Investing in potential ICOs and earning profits for yourself, you can't  let the others check for  you

There is no friendship in crypto. If they are highly successful, half the team will dump and move on leaving the project in tatters. Trust no one, and no projects except bitcoin
