not trusting anyone does not mean that you don't believe at all and in my opinion the important thing is not to be easily affected or not easily believe before it is proven. ICO ranking really makes it easier for us, but it also doesn't have to be successful, sometimes success is also good for someone and that is luck. just be more careful to avoid things that are not good.

It's more valuable to make our own research and study in each projects that we do see opportunities, we don't need to rely our investment to someone's opinions, we do need to understand that those reviews can be bias or can be paid by the team itself, good thing to do is to watch and study about the possible potential of each projects and do a hard research about the team and the usage of the said project, use every venue as a basis and to learn more about the ico coin.

Yes, the investment is done independently. Even if a friend tells you what coins are good, you need to understand the knowledge of coins yourself. If you just listen to other people's opinions and you don't know how to encrypt money, such investment is very dangerous.
