1st of January might be a launch day, just a probability and it has still depended upon development pace of AMD  miner.

Can I try using the miners for AMD to config my rigs and try mining the coin on test net?
I want to join mining immediately when the coin launched, so I want my rigs to be ready as soon as possible.

Sounds pretty fair to me if you launch when both AMD and NVIDIA miners can start

Im mining on suprvova.cc right now with Suprminer 2.0. My GTX 1080 grabbed 2000 Veil in about 12 hours. I just wish i had a wallet to send the coins too. right now i have it set to an 8000 max before auto payout in hopes a wallet will be available soon.

as you can also see the note on suprnova.. its in TESTNET mode.

That miner is very, very unstable when using multi (different) gpu, however sgminer sucks i hope sgminer will be ready when release because sgminer still owns wildrig in multi gpu's + speeds.

TESTNET is not the MAINNET this means that u can not withdraw testnet coins to the mainnet wallet

TESTNET is pure for testing, but its not running the main blockchain. Or did you tought you was premine the coin?
