HDD is good. Try 2 different.

Move the blockchain folders out of the main directory see if that is the problem.

Folders named blocks, chainstate, indexes, and zerocoin. Move them out of the veil directory and restart your wallet.

You think I didn't try this? Smiley
1 and 2 attempt - synchronization that stop on random block.
3+ attempt - full synchronization, and same error after restart wallet.
And again and again. Only on 6 or 7 attempt it seems to work fine. But how long will it work? Again 5-7 days only? Something wrong in this wallet.

Hey Kum Zero, we're sorry to hear about the issues. Our support team provides frequent snapshots that will make syncing more convenient in the event that users receive such a error. You can find the link to the snapshot folder here, as well as instructions on how to use the snapshot, and how to create your own snapshots:

Read carefully my previous post. I use these snapshots.
I see, sorry for misunderstanding. What lemonandfriesonetwo suggested was indicative of syncing from scratch so I couldn't be sure.

The developers are working hard to fix the issues. Good progress is being made with each wallet release, but there is still some kinks to be ironed out, and we're sorry for this. For right now we can only recommend using the snapshots should there be a need to resync the wallet. We will be here to help.

Have you guys considered applying listing on Tradeogre etc other exchanges? I can't believe that this is only in Vinex.

Veil has so far announced being listed on two exchanges: VINEX and Txbit.io

The team is in talks with exchanges, but no information that we can share yet. You can keep up to date with exchange announcements through our social media channels, newsletter, and website.

Hey guys!

I have been playing with this project for a while now, mining and staking, and since the release of the new wallet version, staking rewards are only displayed under transactions, but are not added to my Zerocoin balance. The rewards are nowhere to be found basically.

Does anyone have the same problem or a solution? Help would be much appreciated, thank you!

EDIT: found out my blockchain was corrupted. I had to follow this guide to resolve my issue.

The staking mechanism is working for me also, some orphans but not many.

Orphans are expected in a project like this at the beginning.

I believe that you have been on wrong chain for too long.
All those coins you got are fake ones, which you got from fake-successful staking on wrong chain.
I don't stake VEIL, so I don't know too details about it.
Anyway, you should ask VEIL team here or in Discord to get active nodes for your wallet.
Adding active nodes, coming back to right chain, the you will be fine.

Did you see how long it took for each stake? If it was the wrong chain he would have more than 1 stake every 2 weeks. At least a few stakes in 1 day if it was the wrong chain.

Keep on staking. You are on the right chain.

It looks like you are still on the right chain. If you see a lot of green/confirmed stakes happening very often, then it means you may be on the wrong chain.

the problem with all these ANNs is that there is zero innovation. You get zerocoin, you get RingCT you get Bitcoin Core and you bundle it again. You put moderators and "guarantors" good names  who will rape mine the coin and then pump and dump it and voila.

Privacy? Monero. Or any of the other numerous zerocoin implementations like Zcoin PivX etc.

If every developer didn't try to get rich but instead good developers worked together we would have a much better ecosystem. Don't reinvent the wheel a hundred times over.

That's where you're wrong with VEIL.

99% of people borrow from each other in this space. That's why it's called "open source".

Even Satoshi took other projects that had been tried or failed and built Bitcoin from their research.

The devs here are trying to improve on what's already built by building on top of it and improving it.

The devs behind VEIL are reputable. Do more research on VEIL.  Wink
