It is raining very heavily in Bengaluru. Looks like the match will be washed out and the points will be shared between RR and RCB. Not much of a concern for the RCB, as they are already out of the next round. But this can mean that RR can never qualify for the playoffs.

Almost game time. The crowd is filling in, hope Rain won't spoil the match. Play should have started unless bad news for both the teams particularly RR. Anyway, Almost no rain now, ideally matches will begin around 9 P.M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has the best drainage yet waiting for battle.

I am watching the match LIVE on Star Sports 1 and it looks like we are at least 45 to 60 minutes away from any possible resumption of the match. A drizzle is still going on. The bad news is that after 9pm, we will start losing overs, at a rate of 1 over per 4 minutes. RR players look very anxious. If this match ends as NR, then there'll be a 25% deduction in their salaries (if I am not wrong, the teams which fail to qualify to the playoffs need to introduce a 25% haircut on the player salaries).

11:26 pm is the cut-off time. If the match starts by then, we'll be having a 5-over match. But looking at the weather forecast and the conditions as of now, I think that the match will be abandoned. And that can effectively mean that RR is out of contention for the playoffs.

RCB was suppose to go. They had the worse season this year. The team had huge potential but some managerial mistakes is costing them to be out from the league.

By the way, I am quite surprise to see DC at the top!

The team is not balanced and that is costing them the matches. For sure they have some great batsmen. AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli are among the best in the world. Others like Parthiv Patel and Marcus Stoinis are not that bad either. But the issue is that once this top 4 is gone, no one is there to build the innings in the middle order. And their bowling attack is perhaps the worst for any team in this tournament. Only Yuzvendra Chahal seems to have any class. Others, such as Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini and Kulwant Khejroliya have been retained despite multiple failures.

I expected DC to do good but didn't know they can be at the top of the table . Really well done by youngsters and the management , now that's the kind of management RCB needs.

They have luck enough skills and played some good cricket as well at the back end of this tournament,anything can happen from now on as well about the first two teams to get into the table,if CSK lose todays,s match against DC then they might go to 3rd or 4 place of the table.

This actually ruined any chances RR had. There were just mathemetical probabilities for RCB while RR were on direct competition. The loosing of point would be beneficial to sunrisers hyderabad and Kolkata Knight riders.

This actually ruined any chances RR had. There were just mathemetical probabilities for RCB while RR were on direct competition. The loosing of point would be beneficial to sunrisers hyderabad and Kolkata Knight riders.

True. RR still have a shot, but it is slim and SRH have the advantage when compared to all other teams thanks to their huge NRR which is way higher than the rest.

It looked like RR were actually recovering under Smith, but it seems like it is too late now.

DC's performance was under radar I think. I just discovered yesterday that they are leading the point table. I was expecting CSK and SRH to lead the point table.

When the IPL started I was thinking the chances for next round was easier for CSK, SRH, KKR, KXIP but now we see KKR and KXIP has very slim chance to move to the next round.

Anyway, CSK vs DC today. I feel DC will win however my pick will be CSK. It's the most experience vs youngsters.

I am 100% confident about Delhi Capitals qualifying for the final. The other team can be either CSK or MI, with CSK having the advantage as of now (despite their recent bout of bad form).

I think I read somewhere that CSK has the lowest power play scoring rate. If this is true then I am sure they will recover it in the middle. One thing I spotted for CSK which is, their middle order do not perform very well however it's good to see that in most of the matches they find someone to save the innings.
