They definitely are going to give a tough fight to rest of the teams now. It looks like a complete team. While DC performed miserably apart from Dhawan batting was a complete failure. I think they shouldn't loose the momentum they were in. Giving unnecessary rests to core players can prove to be fatal.

If Kings XI Punjab can pick the best team then they are a force to reckon, i think Chris Gayle was their lucky charm and game changer he was brought into the team in the last three matches and they started winning and he is making valuable contribution and even though Glenn Maxwell is not in the best of batting form in this IPL they are utilizing him as an opening bowler and he is doing wonders and these changes are helping them big time and they have the momentum by winning against MI and now DC the top two teams in this edition and with the confidence they have now they can challenge the rest of the teams.

Sikhar scoring back to back 2 century is all good but i am looking at differently, possibly from KL Rahul, Mayank and all other youngster's perspective. Sikhar was struggling at start of the IPL and majority of Indian openers were piling runs or at least fairly good job. In background some were chit chatting about Sikhar's form and competition from other Indian openers but after these 2 tons Sikhar is not moving anywhere from the T-20 Indian team for at least next T-20 WC.

^^Yeah, last 3 game changed his strike rate and average drastically, if not wrong then his recent SR and average are his career best in his IPL history. Before these innings he was not impressing anyone much or contributing anything meaningful from the bat. His young partner Prithvi Shaw looking bad now.

It is a very surprising statistic. Shikhar Dhawan scored 106 from 61 balls (strike rate of 174) against the Kings XI Punjab. The remainign batsmen scored a total of 54 runs from 59 balls (strike rate of 90). The difference is so stark. Every other batsmen (Shaw/Pant/Stoinis) scored at less than one run a ball. During their last match also (vs CSK), it was similar. Shikhar scored 101 from 58, while the rest of the team (excluding extras) scored 80 from 62 balls. But in that match, the difference between Shikhar and the rest of the team was not this large.

Yeah I personally love Chris Gayle but he definitely isn't a reliable batsmen. So obviously he wasn't the first choice in the squad but after repeitive losses I don't know why KXIP still kept him outside. Talking about Glenn Maxwell I think he is retaining his spot merely due to his bowling. He is not a great addition to bowling I would say but he is more like a Jadeja or Krunal pandya in making. Won't give you much turn but a good line and length to just stop flow of runs. Although not much capable of taking wickets. Moreover he is lucky that KXIP don't have any other big overseas batsmen in their side which also is a reason why he hasn't been replaced so far.

Since KL Rahul is a part-time keeper, I would not be much surprised if Pant gets included in the playing XI. But as of now, the chances for Kishan/Samson doesn't look very bright.

KKR has some changes in the team which I think they should go with long ago and that would make them more strong in the point table. Ferguson has proved that last match. Anyway, I think they need 180+ to have a win tonight.

I am not watching matches just checking score card so have no idea what happen in KKR today because this is surely thrashing win for RCB and big boost for their NRR and really shocking and worst defeat for KKR which can bring them down because now they are going to face DC and KXIP which is not good for their qualifying chances.

Oh yes, this can also be a problem. But I think there is some politics involved around Rahul too. He was selected in the playing XI until Anil Kumble was the head coach of the team and once Kohli had some skirmishes with Kumble I haven't seen Rahul and Virat together. But I would like to see KL Rahul in squad no one can beat him in consistency. Pant bats pretty irresponsibly if you compare him with Rahul.

Kolkata Knight Riders was having a good run and they won three of their last three matches and having a good run before this match and i was expecting RCB to win the match but i did not anticipate this kind of domination. The toss was crucial as the wicket was fresh but the KKR captain choose to bat and it was helping the bowlers a lot and if RCB was batting first they would have struggled too.

It was domination especially from Mohammed Siraj who took the new ball along with Chris Morris who was consistent with the ball when he got a place in the team and now RCB looks like a strong contender as they have the batting talents and now the bowlers are backing them up and if they can improve their fielding and take the catches they can win the tournament.

The pitch was helping the bowlers and the RCB bowlers took full advantage even spinners were brilliant.

Hahaha Lord Siraj showed some great bowling. I don't know how today his ball was moving in the air. If you watch the highlights for the first time in IPL I have seen him bowling this kind of swing. Let's see if his able to get back his form this IPL. The credit actually goes to Kohli who trusted him. Any other captain would have shown him the way outside pretty earlier. But I think he still shouldn't be given bowling at the death. He would still bowl in his old similar fashion if given bowling at death.

KKR paid $252,000 for him, and his performance hasn't justified this valuation till now.

RR vs SRH up next people. RR is back in form while SRH is going through a slump, but I am betting on SRH to get back to their winning ways since they lost recent matches by very small margins and this game is all about those margins.

RR's inconsistency is the reason I am betting on SRH even though they have a better team than SRH in many ways. What do you guys think?

Yeah my mistake, each team playing 14 games. For playoff team need 16 points so CSK's 2020 IPL almost ends here as they need 10 more points and left with only 4 games.

I think its safe to say that CSK virtually out from this season. They are left with 5-6 games i suppose and if they want to get direct entry (16 points) into playoff then they need to win every game from here (if 5 games are left), which seems very doubtful and not expecting any sort of miracle here.

Every team still has chance to reach, once team qualified with 12 points. So there is still all chances to reach on qualifier but of course with lot's of if and but.

Correction.. each team needs 16 points not 12.. In case of tie situation on points, run rate might comes in play.

Lots of if/but for SRH and King XI Punjab. RR still in race if they manage to win their last 4 games.

16 points confirm the qualifier position, but before once team reached in qualifier with 12 points too. It's not necessary that you can't reach in qualifier with less than 16 points.

Yeah apart from 16 points qualification its Basically top points equation for the rest of the teams, in case of tie NRR comes in play. so we are not in disagreement here.

I don't think SRH can win the match. RR have both sides strong while SRH batting isn't good at all. If SRH bat first, I think they will surely lose the match and if they play on target, they must have to keep RR below 160 which I think impossible with their bowling unless Rashid Khan becomes the Lord Siraj
