Abour Poirier and his staff infection.

It was always hard for me to understand how irresponsible adults are about their health. When their kid gets a tiny red pimple, as an allergic reaction to overload of new food, they sign that kid to a hundred of doctor visits. But when they themselves are about to die they are like “naaah, it will cure itself”.

It want like Poirier put on his socks in the morning, went to gym, put of a socks and observed that mess with his leg. Such staff problems does not happen instantly. He must have skipped showing that crap to a doc for days or a week. In addition, his responsibility could lead to infecting other people in the gym! What a douchebag.

He’s training and fighting every day. He probably thought it was just like the thousands of other injuries he’s had in the past and didn’t think much of it. Eventually when it became clear this was something he wasn’t used to, he went to the doctor and got it fixed. I don’t think he should be criticized for not being a pussy. Abour Poirier and his staff infection.

But when they themselves are about to die they are like “naaah, it will cure itself”.

He must have skipped showing that crap to a doc for days or a week. In addition, his responsibility could lead to infecting other people in the gym! What a douchebag.

I thought his feet were a goner from that nasty Staph infection he had but right now he was released from the hospital and straight to his daughter's school play now I think we all get irresponsible at times, I know we all do and like we MMA fighters sure make mistakes and if they surely know that it will be this bad like us they will not consult a doctor 1st they will tend to do it themselves and hope it heals but yes it surely gets even worst but I think let's just give Dustin Poirier a slack on that mistake and right now I think he learned his lesson and giving him a break in enjoying the time with her daughter and family will sure give him a decent time to recover and for me giving time for his daughter is an amazing thing about him and I wish him a fast recovery

Yesterday T.J.Dillashaw has announced his retirement. He has finished his career with 17-5 record and has been fighting for UFC for 10 years. I would say that this is a right decision. He is 36, doubtfully he would be champ (bantamweight is very competable right now, he has lost his title opportunity and next might be only in couple of years), in addition he fight rarely recently.

T.J. Dillashaw was a great man I know there are some issues with him in the past but I think it is just a misunderstanding with his teammates, he deserves to be in the hall of fame someday, and regarding his decision to retire on the UFC, I still wish him to fight on other fighting sports, but if this retirement of him is permanently retire in the world of MMA I surely respect that,

I'm hoping Jan takes it. I like him, even though he took the zero off one of my favourite fighters (Izzy). He seems a nice guy outside of the UFC, and he's an entertaining fighter for the most part. Honestly though, I don't see him winning this one, but I'm definitely hoping to be proved wrong.

I'm probably going to miss yet another event this weekend, it's been a horrible year for watching UFC for me. I've just had too much things going on. Anyway, I will try to get predictions out regardless. I know some of you appreciate it here, even though I'm always bloody wrong.

Hey! I always appreciate your picks and prediction in fact I appreciate all of the picks and predictions in fact I get to see each and everyone's opinion and what they think might happen regarding a fight, just like in the recent Izzy VS Alex Pereira fight we all assumed even tokeweed that Israel Adesanya will surely surprise us and he really did he really got good ground games we all think that it will be his last ace to show on the Pereira fight and I was surprised that I am not alone in thinking that Adesanya has something to show for us, just to win the fight, just like his big brother Francis Nagnnou showing great takedowns as a last resort it was an amazing thing to see and I was really still confident in putting my bet for Israel Adesanya that time, even though he lost it I was entertained and it really doesn't matter that I lost, because of what I see was an amazing fight that each and everyone here have already predicted what Izzy might do,

Some of my notices.

Ankalaev is too quick for light heavyweight. He is extra quick at throwing jabs. He has a good head movement against single punches, or 1-2 combos. But, it was hard for him to fight against Nikita Krylov, because Krylov threw long combos.

Jan - he is strong. Jans favourite combo is a punch on a jump (usually a hook), then throw and overhand and a body punch. He simply spams that combo. This is bad and good. Good that he is a master of it, bad that his opponents know that he will do it.

Either that combo will work well against Ankalaev. Or Ankalaev will evade it with quick jabs or will catch Jan with same punch with footstep back like Thiago Santos did.

^  For where the lines are at, I feel like it's better to bet on Blachowicz as a decent underdog than going for Ankalev with all that chalk.  And Ankalaev is a slow starter so early rounds could work out or Blachowicz with him winning R1 and R2.

If you guys really want Ankalaev it could be good to wait til R2 ends and bet for him live.  Def don't take the chalk with where the line is at 1.35.

Here's my lottery ticket for the event.  Trying my luck again.  Lol.

Ponz - Quarantillo at 2.48
Add:  Pimblett - Salvador at 5.17
Add:  Curtis - Shabyazan - Rosas at 23.41
Add:  Mitchell - Silva - Till at 249.68
Add:  Blachowicz - Koslow - Daukas at 8613.87

I'm upset because he's a professional and a good fighter, I know he's trained very hard and is still very eager for the belt. I'm so glad the antibiotics worked, too, because I saw that foot and never thought things were looking good. It is very normal that you do not notice early in some health conditions, I think I call it the human condition. It may be even later, but he went to the hospital on time, so at least. He's leaving the hospital tomorrow. I hope he doesn't stay too far from training because not being able to train is going to him crazy.

I don't know any crypto gambling website that accepts live betting on UFC and other MMA fights, but maybe you know something that I don't know.
After asking many times I got an answer from few websites that this needs a lot of extra work and they are not ready for that change right now.

I am excited to watch Bryce Mitchell vs Ilia Topuria, both of this guys have perfect MMA score so far and of them will have to spoil it this weekend.
This are my main predictions for UFC 282 that can be played in some combo, Magomed Ankalaev, Paddy Pimblett and Alex Morono all to win.

Some minor news:

UFC is back to London. UFC 286 will take place in London on March 2023. Perhaps we are going to see Edwards vs Usman 3 there. Looks like UFC bosses are helping Usman to get his belt back.

Paulo Costa has refused to re-sign his new 6-fight UFC contract. Reasons seems to be simple - money. This is not the first time Costa complains he is getting low paid. If he really turns free agent, I would get sad. I really liked to watch that guy fight.

Paddy Pimblet has been acting a bit cringe for me recently. Him and Dana were embarrassingly sucking each other off on his podcast and he was using McGregor lines at the press conference. I think this fight is probably going to be his biggest challenge yet and if he loses it it'll derail the hype train massively.

Pretty much all UFC fighters apart from the superstars are underpaid. Even Ngannou isn't paid what he should. Half a million for his last fight when there's people like Nate Diaz getting nearly a million fore his last fight and Khamzat Chimaev reportedly got 2 million. Doesn't make sense to me. They really need to start paying fighters a lot more or they're gonna have a lot of great fighters and showmen leave.

I'm sure they will make that title fight happen then. Probably Molly and Paddy fighting again as well.

I see two reasons why some get paid more than others, if we dont take into consideration the level of "superstarship" - Chimaev and Diaz are better fight sellers than Costa. Ngannou got paid less, because higher amount wasnt states in his contract. Dont know. Second possible reason - location of an event. Event in UAE or Vegas probably is paid more than UFC Apex or Amway Center.

As to location. UFC 285 is going to be held in Vegas, which means main even and co main events fights are going to be huge. We have Makhachev vs Volkanovski on UFC 284, probably Usman vs Edwards on UFC 286. Either we are going to see Sterling vs Sejudo, Pereiras test, or Ngannou vs Jones finally.

I don't think they will leave UFC, the biggest MMA event is UFC, the others like Bellator, KSW, PFL, One championship are pay their fighters lower than UFC. So if those fighters want to continue their journey on MMA, in the end they will stay in UFC even though the paycheck is really different between popular fighters and not really known fighters (although he's the champion).

This are my main predictions for UFC 282 that can be played in some combo, Magomed Ankalaev, Paddy Pimblett and Alex Morono all to win.
Ankalaev and Pimblett has a high chance to win, but the odds about Alex Morono vs Santiago Ponzinibbio is swing from Morono to Ponzinibbio. So you need to beware since many people tend to see Ponzinibbio will beat Morono.

I heard.  Lol.  As I said, they need to sell UFC 182 PPV's as the original main event was scrapped and we get Blachowicz vs Ankalaev.  Not really that enticing for a main event imho.

I'm watching the pre fight press conference right now.  You guys can watch it with me and see all the cringe.  Grin

UFC 182:  Press Conference
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XN9D1QNUEaU

I'm looking forward to two match ups tho.  Mitchell vs Topuria and Curtis vs Buckley.

Edit:  Pimblett and Topuria having a little back and forth.  I forgot they had some beef from a while ago.  Lmao.  I miss stuff like this.

Edit:  It was a fun press conference.  Now I feel like Ponz will be my pie shitter.  :/

If you guys really want Ankalaev it could be good to wait til R2 ends and bet for him live.  Def don't take the chalk with where the line is at 1.35.

Stake has live betting for the UFC.

I agree with you, he is not a child not to have noticed very early that his foot was infected and being a professional fighter he and his team undoubtedly should have acted sooner to treat this staph infection and could have been cured sooner, but he was negligent and his team also weren't careful to observe his movements when walking to realize that something wasn't right with him, anyway the guy is in the hospital, I read that he still wasn't making very fast progress on the issue to improve, I don't know if there's another update on his health status

Yeah, unfortunately it does seem like we've got a fighter trying to hard to be someone they aren't. I like Paddy, but he's much more tolerable on non fighting interviews, and podcasts. He seems pretty humble outside of the UFC, but obviously when it comes to the UFC he's trying so hard to be the next big thing; like Mcgregor. Obviously, Dana realises the potential, and is running with it.

Although, I must say this match up is a risky one from Dana, I think Gordon is underestimated by a lot of fans.

The UFC implementing the McGregor Rule?  It seems the UFC is not happy that their biggest star has turned into a steroid freak movie star and wants to make it harder for him to return with a new set of hoops for him to jump through after waiting 6 months to fight again once he starts being tested for PEDs.

https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2022/12/9/23501197/usada-announces-new-conditions-for-fighters-coming-out-of-retirement-ufc-mma-news

While this is probably the right thing for everybody involved, I have to say that I wouldn't mind if the UFC started a new fighting class for people who do not want to undergo testing.  At least then you know that the competition is fair.  I'm pretty sure most of these guys have ways around the testing procedures anyway.

Jan Błachowicz have a big chance to come back and use situation in this category in his favor but I think there is little chance he can beat Ankalaev.
I think that co-main event Pimblett vs Gordon is going to be much more competitive and interesting to watch, but I think this will be good UFC card overall.
Prelims should not be missed with Joaquin Buckley and Chris Curtis.

So if those fighters want to continue their journey on MMA, in the end they will stay in UFC even though the paycheck is really different between popular fighters and not really known fighters (although he's the champion).

Loads of fighters have already left and many are already fighting in Bellator and other promotions. If there's a mass exodus then Bellator will quickly grow and could become a viable competitor. You're right that they won't get as much as in the UFC but if UFC is strong-arming them by not paying them any more or refusing to re-sign then they will have no choice. Ngannou will be out of contract in January I believe and if they can't come to an agreement he will be a free-agent. Where will he go if they both refuse to come to an agreement? He will have to go somewhere. Bellator will probably give him a good deal and it may or may not be better than the UFC but getting him would be a big win and get a lot of eyeballs on them as a promotion. IF they get a reputation of being more favourable to fighters they could quickly gain ground as a strong rival. The bigger Bellator grows the more they can pay fighters.

Paddy Pimblet has been acting a bit cringe for me recently. Him and Dana were embarrassingly sucking each other off on his podcast and he was using McGregor lines at the press conference. Dana is desperate for him to be the next McGregor as his time is nearly up if it isn't already so the UFC needs another superstar that grabs the headlines. The thing is, Paddy doesn't need to do this as he already gets numbers so he should just continue being himself. Dana has shown the numbers/views he gets on social media and it dwarfs most other fighters so there's no need to follow the Connor blueprint. I don't even mind him doing that if he's original but he was literally using Connor's lines almost verbatim which was cringe as was him licking Dana's arse at every opportunity.

My Picks and predictions for the UFC 282

Jan Błachowicz +290
Magomed Ankalaev -355

Right now the odds were for Magomed Ankalaev, the odds were from sports betting for this match Jan Blachowicz was pretty much great with his striking with the right timing and IQ he can predict some of the incoming strikes but he can not underestimate Ankalaev's stand-up as well because he can surely have good IQ aswell but the most devastating skill of Magomed Ankalaev will be on the ground, Blachowicz would need to be prepared with his takedown defense, for me he can not engage Ankalaev on the ground even though he practices heavy wrestling Ankalaev is a pretty much different beast on the ground, so for me my pick is Ankalaev,

Paddy Pimblett -251
Jared Gordon +211

For this fight, Paddy Pimblett really has the hype train in him, if Paddy lost in this fight the hype train will be all gone, Jared "Flash" Gordon is not a push, Paddy will surely need to be extra careful about him, and with his losing weight procedure for me, Paddy can not always do it, but it can also help with every fight he got, but for me, Paddy Pimblett is Unorthodox with his style he surely can become crafty in getting in your back and get that submission going, or even gets into a ground and pound if he is on top,

Jairzinho Rozenstruik -189
Chris Daukaus +180

This fight can end up only in the 1st or 2nd round because these fighters are heavy hitters that could end the fight very fast, for me Rozenstruik can be crafty with his striking while Daukaus can be letting very aggressive  with it, so for me, I am going for Jairzinho Rozenstruik,

this will be a very interesting fight, Jan Blachowicz is 39 years old, he has 38 fights and he won 29 fights and lost 9 fights and he is a specialist in boxing, kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu and he doesn't have many victories by knockouts , on the other hand, his opponent Magomed Ankalaev is much younger, he is only 30 years old and he has 18 fights in which he won 17 fights and lost only one fight and the scariest thing about Magomed Ankalaev is that he has 9 wins by knockout, his speed combined with his strong punches, make him in my opinion the favorite for this fight, I don't see him losing in this fight

Paddy Pimblett is a young fighter, he is only 27 years old but he has an excellent performance even though he is young, with 22 fights he won 19 fights and only lost 3 fights but he only managed to win by knockout in 5 fights, he is good at jiu - Brazilian jítsu and has strong punches and he comes from a victory against Paddy, on the other side we have his opponent Jared Gordon who is 34 years old, he is older and has 24 fights in which he won 19 fights and won 5 fights, just like the bookmakers are giving Paddy as a favorite, I also believe that Paddy will win this fight

Here are my picks for the UFC 282: Błachowicz vs. Ankalaev

Jan Błachowicz VS Magomed Ankalaev

The stake odds for this fight are 3.85 for Blachowicz and 1.31 for Ankalaev, for this fight, I think Blachowicz has a better experience, but the thing is Magomed Ankalaev has a better knowledge of where he would position himself against an opponent, he got decent striking aswell and sometimes adjusting that in his advantage but Ankalaev in the Light Heavyweights is moving like a Welterweight he is that fast just like what Cyril Gane in the Heavyweight so Ankalaev is pretty much unfair for Blachowicz for sure, so if Blachowicz had an overextending strikes Ankalaev will surely give you a counter for that and he has pretty much advantage on the ground for sure, and those kicks from Ankalaev is also insane, so for me Ankalaev will surely win this

Paddy Pimblett VS Jared Gordon

The stake odds for this fight are 1.42 for Pimblett and 3.20 for Gordon, For this fight, is really an interesting one, pretty Paddy's Hype Train is getting on his head, even more, and his engagement with Topuria was really getting on his head, I really think he needs to focus on Jared Gordon than Ilia Topuria, Jared Gordon just got a better box than Paddy, well Gordon doesn't have a powerful punch, while Pimblett got the knockout power, but if this goes to the ground Paddy Pimblett is in a much advantage, but Gordon sometimes is using that opportunity to get the strikes but Paddu sure has the upper hand on the ground,

Darren Till VS Dricus Du Plessis

The stake odds for this fight are 2.55 for Till and 1.60 for Du Plessis, for this fight, Darren Till is more composed and more technical than Du Plessis while Du Plessis is very aggressive but in a more unpredictable way, while even though Dricus Du Plessis is not technical on the stand-up he surely knows how to read a fighter and could make the fight go to the ground and started shooting takedowns, for me Darren Till had stopped his counters and become a safer fighter if he does not use counter against Dricus Darren Till will likely lose this fight, so I am going with Dricus Du Plessis,

Bryce Mitchell VS Ilia Topuria

The stake odds for this fight are 2.36 for Mitchell and 1.68 for Topuria, for this fight, many are underestimating Bryce Mitchell but Mitchell is more well-rounded than Topuria, he can box, has kicked, and has insane Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, while Ilia Topuria really never kick a lot, but Topuria had excellent boxing, and he is very well known with guys that have ground game and could make that against them, for me, this is a close match but I am slightly favoring Ilia Topuria so my pick is Topuria winning,

I'm sure they will make that title fight happen then. Probably Molly and Paddy fighting again as well.

I don't think the UFC will ever find another break through super star as huge as McGregor...  Not in a long time at least.  They tried with a few guys but it turned out to be cringe or the fighter turned out to really wasn't that good in the cage.  That's why I appreciate what the likes of Covington is doing...  He knows it's all for the lulz and he knows that we know it's fake and he does it anyway to annoy everybody.  Lol.  A lot of these guys who do it to look cool will turn out cringey and will never do it like McGregor did.  I'm talking about McGregor before he became cringey himself.  Lolol.

Here are the weigh ins...  Enjoy.
