Delusional how? He didn't really say much. He was offered by the UFC and he accepted it. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt that Colby was avoiding him in the past. But, at the end of the day, Colby has turned me down five or six times Sneaky good card this weekend. Really interested in seeing how Garbrant goes, it's a make or break fight for him.
I agree with this. He won't be getting any fights soon if he losses here even if he remains active unless someone personally calls him out. Or when he starts talking sh*t on twitter
~ But then we knew TJ was juiced to the gills and now we know how talented he was and still could not beat Henry Cejudo . Putting juicing aside, Henry vs. TJ was a different case with Cody vs. TJ. What I was trying to imply is that because they were former teammates, they must have known each other's strengths and weaknesses. TJ's coach, Duane, must have outsmarted the other coach. He must have trained them both at one time and that's another factor.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/11751505/coronavirus-sport-live-premier-league-fixtures-f1-ufc/Dana gave an update on Fight Island on Eddie Hearn's podcast: UFC president Dana White has confirmed the first ever 'Fight Island' event will take place on June 27 and revealed it is “f***ing expensive and crazy”.
The promoter has been determined to push full steam ahead during the coronavirus pandemic, managing to stage four shows behind closed doors, in Florida and then Las Vegas.
Speaking on Eddie Hearn & Tony Bellew's Talk The Talk podcast, White said: “Fight Island is so f***ing expensive and so f***ing crazy – and almost impossible to pull off.
“You're talking about planes, flying people over, you have to quarantine people. It's insane to be even trying to do this. But I promise you we will do it and we will pull it off.
“I believe that in doing this, it's going to help grow the sport immensely. It's going to help financially and in many different ways. I know we can do it.”
I'm glad this is still going ahead with the lockdowns being eased, but there's no word on what fighters are going to be on the card yet. Without some big draws this could be a serious disappointment. With a couple of big fighters it could be huge. I can't see a fighter like McGregor turning up though given the short notice, unless they've been told to train for it for a while. If a big fight was going to take place on there though they would likely have been trying to promote them for a while. Not much details as per usual Did you say McGregor? - Conor McGregor texted the UFC boss Dana White saying he's desperate to fight on 'Fight Island'

Anyway.. Some tapes! I think Sterling vs Sandhagen should be the co main imo. Both are on winning streaks. The co main fighters' records are meh. Leaning Sandhagen...
The reason for Cody Garbrandt getting the main event spot is because he was a former champion and he get to share the pay per view points while Sterling and Sandhagen are upcoming fighters yet to fight for a title. The only fight i think is a sure shot pick in this fight card is Sean O'Malley. The rest of the fighters i need to watch their tapes and the UFC videos to see how they are prepared. Yup I figured. And it's prolly Garbrandt's last chance imo. And Assuncao too for that matter. Either lose.. It's gonna be retirement. That line on O'Malley tho... Bad. But the under 1.5 at 2.27 (FJ odds) looks decent. I'm more excited about O'Malley fight among the event. He looks very rookie but a little more of technical training for him, we could be seeing a good fight if match with Holloway. Spencer seems to risk her career over this title shot with Nunez, that lady isn't a lady. This isn't a match but only because she has 1 loss and 8 wins she gets to take it.

UFC News from today say that Tyron Woodley has been offered and accepted to fight against Colby Covington. It can be interesting fight to watch, and maybe this can see better edition on Woodley after he lost last fight with Burns.

~ Nope I don't think so. I mean really? Jones prolly won't stoop that low. As an athlete and a celebrity Jon Jones have seen the worst and anything he does gets scrutinized under a microscope. His recent twitter rant about vacating the title and then going out and forming a task force to secure his neighborhood looked like a PR stunt as everything was published online, may be he had good intention to stop the vandalism in the name of George Floyd and no one in the right sense will mess with Jon Jones. UFC News from today say that Tyron Woodley has been offered and accepted to fight against Colby Covington. It can be interesting fight to watch, and maybe this can see better edition on Woodley after he lost last fight with Burns. This is the fight i was looking for a long time because of the history and the hate they showed in the past and this will be career defining fight for both Tyron Woodley and Colby Covington, one more loss and Tyron Woodley might retire and a win for Colby Covington could give him another opportunity for the title. The problem here is Colby Covington left his old team and his rant about the billions of Dan Lambert is gone and he is not having much friends to accept him to another big MMA gym and that will be another problem.

Colby Covington all day. But I've always liked bet on Woodley as the underdog in the past, so we'll see. If it's close to a coin flip, Covington for sure. Just browsing through the odds on the upcoming UFC 250 and this is the first time that I saw the odds between Nunez and Spencer. Didn't know that the odds now are at 1.16 for Nunez. Well, I can clearly see why she's being the favorite here but wanted to check if anyone here is willing to bet on Spencer? The odds are good at 5.20. Maybe a beer money on Spencer would do some trick?

He then went on and threw shade at anyone who'll criticize his statements Watch the company men and the UFC white knights come out and condemn my train of thought, You’ll quickly see who’s in their pockets. This is just their attempt at squeezing out more money. The trouble is, everyone wants Connor Mcgregor money regardless of whether they're at that level yet. It's also not just how good you are, but how good your opponent is. Nobody really wants to see a great fighter fight a shit one and that will be reflected in the PPV and subsequently how much the fighters get from the purse. Dana White's response: Anybody that doesn’t want to fight doesn’t have to fight, including Masvidal and Jon Jones and all these other guys. It doesn’t have to be because of the pandemic. These guys are independent contractors. I don't know about you but I think he deserves to get paid more but the timing of his demands was just off. Not at a time when the world economy is still recovering from the pandemic. Not at a time when the UFC probably spent more than ever to set up an event. There are pros and cons to how they're currently employed or contracted. At the moment they can turn down fights for whatever reason. Like Dana said, they're only contracted to offer them three fights per year and they can take them or turn them down without repercussion, but if they become employees then they will likely have to do what they're told and take whatever fights are organised for them. They might not want to take a fight for a myriad of reasons, but when you're contractual obligated it's hard to get out of them without faking some injury or something. The current contracts also allow for price negotiation and that's why some fighters get huge paydays. If they were just made employees of the UFC then they'd likely be paid a salary or would at least likely be forced to take less from the UFC. As you said, paydays will likely be at an all time low right now because of covid, but it's going to be a real big shame if we miss out on fights just because fighters are holding out for massive paychecks that might not ever come.

A coach can only be as good as how well his student listen to his coaching, in all of the fights Cody Garbrandt he lost the fight as he was not following the game plan rather he was fighting emotionally and he got the bad end of the result when he went wild and started to trade with the opponent, he would have won those fights if he could keep it technical rather than trading wild blows. My prediction for UFC 250 Amanda Nunes, Sean O'Malley, Chase Hooper, Herbert Burns.

I think the unanimous decision here is to see Nunes just annilhilate in the first round. You can get in on this from a promotion a site is giving on it to 4 to 1 odds of it going down like this as this thread has scripted it to happen. UFC coming back with this milestone of an event happening in just a couple of hours from now. https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/shouldnt-ufc-250-be-a-milestone-event.4112367Check out my thread on this bout and for a little giveaway for sports returning to the masses now in full swing: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5253786.0

Not just on there are two in my view, Nunes is a almost sure shot fight in this card if you take into account the level of competition Felicia Spencer faced in her small career and with the way in which Nunes was able to destroy all her last ten opponents this will be an easy fight unless and until Felicia Spencer is able to get a take down on Amanda Nunes. The other sure shot fight in this card is Sean O'Malley who is getting an easy opponent because of the Corona situation. My other picks are Herbert Burns and Alex Perez.

Nah man... I used to that. A lot. Lol. You're just leaking money. Anyway I've been following some picks from Rent Free MMA's breakdowns. It's been going well so far. For 250 I have: Nunes vs Spencer under 1.5 rounds at 2.57, Assuncao at 2.18, Sandhagen at 1.96, Magny at 1.74 and O'Malley vs Wineland under rounds 1.5 at 2.13. ~snipped~ And because of your advice, I stayed away from the main event and just went on with several predictions. If anyone of you interested, here are my picks. For a more detailed explanation on why those picks, you can visit my thread and browse through it. Enjoy. Take Evan Dunham over Herbert Burns (6:10p.m., Saturday, June 6th)
Take Devin Clark over Alonzo Menifield (6:40 p.m., Saturday, June 6th)
Take Brian Kelleher over Cody Stamann (8:40 p.m., Saturday, June 6th)
Take Anthony Rocco Martin over Neil Magny (10:40 p.m., Saturday, June 6th)
Take Aljamain Sterling over Cory Sandhagen (11:40 p.m., Saturday, June 6th)

Herbert Burns won the fight by first round submission and Devin Clark won by a decision, i like the rest of your picks. Aljamain Sterling is a good pick and i am confused with Cody Garbrandt as he lost three fights on a row and that too knockout losses and how he will be able to recover and win this fight is confusing as he need to change his fighting style completely and Raphael Assunção is coming into this fight after a couple of defeats. Anyone knows how to watch the prelim fights, i have the PPV but not able to find the early fights.

~ Jorge Masvidal wants to be Conor McGregor hehehe. He wore a similar Versace designer robe, created his own liquor brand and also wants Conor millions hehehe. He should win versus the Nigerian Nightmare first.
Everyone, except maybe Khabib, wants to get paid like Conor but not everyone can generate the PPV and Gate numbers like Conor I don't know about Masvidal becoming Conor but it ain't that bad to copy a seemingly successful strategy. Based on what he's accomplished so far, I think he also deserves to get bigger pay.
~ A coach can only be as good as how well his student listen to his coaching, in all of the fights Cody Garbrandt he lost the fight as he was not following the game plan rather he was fighting emotionally and he got the bad end of the result when he went wild and started to trade with the opponent, he would have won those fights if he could keep it technical rather than trading wild blows.
I'd like to see a video or an article that supports your claim of Cody not following what he's instructed to do. In their first fight, Cody had all the momentum and almost won in R1. During the break, I remember Duane telling TJ to forget about setting up the kick and just throw it (something like that). Then we saw Cody getting dropped from a kick in R2 and that completely changed the direction of the fight.
Looks like Fight Island is going to be in Abu Dhabi - UFC Fight Island Location Revealed: ReportPer Combate, the UFC’s current plan is for the company to debut Fight Island on either June 27 or July 11.
Additionally, the reason Abu Dhabi made the most sense to the UFC was because of it’s less strict travel regulations and COVID-19 procedures during the global pandemic (translated by Google):In Abu Dhabi, restrictions on international flights are less. Whoever arrives in the country is tested on landing, but is not forced into isolation for 14 days; only self-quarantine is recommended until the test result is released. UFC 250 Results:Main Card
Amanda Nunes def. Felicia Spencer Cody Garbrandt def. Raphael Assuncao Aljamain Sterling def. Cory Sandhagen Neil Magny def. Anthony Rocco Martin Sean O'Malley def. Eddie Wineland
Prelims
Alex Caceres def. Chase Hooper Ian Heinisch def. Gerald Meerschaert Cody Stamann def. Brian Kelleher Maki Pitolo def. Charles Byrd Alex Perez def. Jussier Formiga Devin Clark def. Alonzo Menifield Herbert Burns def. Evan Dunham
Nunes easily won but not a KO like most of us is expecting. Spencer was tough as hell! Cody had a spectacular KO "at the buzzer". That duck and right hook caught Asuncao by surprise Watch the post fight conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHoulDUaC5c

Hey guys check this out! Will McGregor retire for real ? Whether this is real or just a threat, one thing is for sure. Dana is losing talents right now. Bones then Masvidal and then now Conor? He must do a quick response if he really want to save his huge money makers lol. But sadly he is doing nothing, it seems that he is not bothered of these shocking news at all. Hmm, do you think Conor will do it or it's just his tactics to demand more from Dana. Your thoughts? Source: https://www.espn.com/mma/ufc/story/_/id/29277164

All these "fighter's protest" isn't shocking to Dana at all. He's not bothered because it's not the first time and he knows what the fighters are trying to achieve. He'll talk to them when the time is right. I remember him saying in one interview that UFC is the best at solving problems. I like reading these "retirement" announcement but don't take them seriously. UFC and fighters will probably reach an agreement sooner or later. If not, then UFC will still move on.
