While Jones vs Moicic isn't yet happening. Tom should fight more with any challenger. If he had to get back to Blaydes, he should go for it rather than wait for Jones when its not a very certain that Jons will not rest after fighting Moicic. Going back to LHW is his option too since LHW is where the exciting fighters.

I too expect too much from Gane, only because he is huge and poses like a bantamweight boxer.

Tom ended a knockout machine, he did it very quickly. Frankly, I didn't expect much. I was one of those who thought Tom would not be able to stabilize after his injury, but now he is the interim heavyweight interim champion. I hear some are worried about Bones after Tom Aspinal's dominant win, but I think Bones will continue to be the best at welterweight. First of all, a re-organization will be made with Miocic. Sergei has come this far in the welterweight class with a six-match winning streak, but I don't think he can come back from now on. Ciry Gane is another dangerous name. He is very agile and strong compared to his weight in the welterweight class. In fact, the match I am most curious about is the match between Gane and Bones.

a second chance Aspinal against Blaydes would be good to see if the knee surgeon did well. It is risky unless Dana puts Aspinaal back in the surgery room.
one thing is for sure: Aspinal is gonna get good fights he might be able to win if he fights with Cyril Gane or the new breed Jailton Almeida who doesn't move like a heavyweight. Iff Aspinal wants a fight he should insist Dana be active otherwise this is gonna be like the LHW too.

For sure if Tom Aspinall did recover correctly and if he can withstand another metal leg of Curtis Blaydes as they are literally Blades of steel, but sure it is a good fight for fans to see as the fight ended up in a horrible injury and it will be a great fight for fans to witness as for sure both fighters would want that to happen and enjoy a beer after the fight ends,

Here are my bets and predictions for this fight for the UFC Vegas 82

Brendan Allen VS Paul Craig

The odds for this fight are 1.26 for Brendan Allen and 4.30 for Paul Craig, for this fight I see Brendan Allen as more well-rounded than Paul Craig even though Paul Craig has really good Jui-Jitsu he is not that great with his offensive and defensive stand-up, and Brendan Allen got a great defensive Jui-Jitsu so for sure Paul Craig will have a hard time submitting Allen, he also got good takedown defense, for me although Paul Craig can submit any best fighter Brendan Allen is younger and fresher for this fight so my pick will be Brendan Allen,

Jake Matthews VS Michael Morales

The odds for this fight are 3.60 for Jake Matthews and 1.33 for Michael Morales, Jake Matthews for this fight has good boxing and wrestling let's say he is very well-rounded but I am doubtful about his wrestling defense for sure he can also be taken down and had a hard time with opponents that have wrestling and for sure Michael Morales will not going to have a hard time with him, Morales got solid striking and can hit harder than Matthews, and he also got good takedown defense aswell so my pick is Michael Morales,

Amanda Ribas VS Luana Pinheiro

The odds for this fight are 1.44 for Amanda Ribas and 2.95 for Luana Pinheiro, Both of these fighters for me fighting kittens, but for my bet, I am a little bit concerned here because Luana Pinheiro can hit harder for sure and she got good striking, and for sure Amanda Ribas isn't great with her striking but she got better output in this fight but I am sensing a copy of the fight of Jéssica Andrade against Mackenzie Dern, but for me, Amanda Ribas has decent stand-up defense and she can also break Pinheiro with a decision win so my pick is Amanda Ribas,

Well, I believed you from a marketing standpoint for sure the UFC and Dana White would still go with the Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic kind of fight and yeah maybe they are milking Jon Jones's popularity now and the UFC thinks the better way to milk him is to let him fight with an older fighter and a fighter that would likely be defeated easily and for sure Stipe Miocic is something like that and for sure many is believing that Jon Jones will easily defeat Miocic for sure, and I also think the same but what if Stipe Miocic win this what will happen with Jon Jones, and what will happen to Miocic do you guys think he would still fight or retire from there,

After seeing Tom Aspinall fight for sure because of Jon Jones's age and Tom Aspinall is now still in his prime this will be a hard fight for Jon Jones for sure, I really wish that Tom Aspinall would not get injured anymore,
Jon Jones and Dana White had problems some years ago because Jon Jones was asking for 30 million dollars salary and Dana was refusing that. Then, Jon Jones left the UFC and recently he returned back. This makes me think that they have figured out the problem and agreed on something that benefits to both of them and in their case it's money for sure. So, Dana White is a guy who admires money and he will milk Jon Jones for sure and from a marketing standpoint, it's really very possible to see Jon Jones VS Stripe Miocic but from marketing standpoint, Jon Jones VS Ngannou would be the best. To be honest, I think nor Dana White, nor Jon Jones are afraid to fight anyone. Dana wanted Jon Jones vs Tyson Fury and Jon Jones vs Ngannou and if we keep in mind how talented Jon Jones is, even still at his age, he is unbeatable. This guy reminds me Diego Maradona from football world, guy was obese, always high and in his 50s and still was doing wonders with the ball. What can I say more, he was a pure talent and Jon Jones is a pure talent too in mixed martial art world. And keep in mind that man's prime doesn't end soon when it comes to fighting, especially for the one who is the goat.

Because of the postponement of the fight, we also don't know whether when Jones returns, he will actually fight Stipe Miocic or not because it still long time coming, and Aspinall himself previously wanted to be able to fight Jones, but the UFC president refused or stated that Aspinall will not meet Jones before the fight against Stipe Miocic can be held.
It seems that Aspinall is only destined for the interim title and he has to fight more fighters to be able to actually fight against the real heavyweight champion, who knows who will win between Jones and Miocic will definitely be the fighter that Aspinall challenges for the title.

It seems that Aspinall is only destined for the interim title and he has to fight more fighters to be able to actually fight against the real heavyweight champion, who knows who will win between Jones and Miocic will definitely be the fighter that Aspinall challenges for the title.

Not quite, the purpose of the interim belt is to provide replacement if the undisputed champion is out due to an injury etc. But when he's back in action, there should be a unification bout between him and the interim belt holder.
So if Jones refuses to fight Tom, he will get stripped of the title in favour of Tom.
For some reason, the UFC still want to go ahead with Jones Vs Stipe, but, after that, Jones (or Stipe if he wins) will have to fight the interim belt holder or lose the title.

So Aspinall doesn't need to do anything to get the fight with Jones, unless he himself (or the UFC) doesn't want to be inactive for that long.
The UFC could force Tom to defend the interim belt, but that would be quite nonsense, as it would be like creating two parallel titles within the same weight-class.

Allen vs Craig event has ended. Any comments on it guys? I havent watched it fully, but watched only post event review. I can say that there some good fights to see, think I am gonna watch all the fights that have ended with submission. There were quite a lot of them this time actually. Whole event surprisingly have few fights that ende with UD.

^  It was decent for just a fight night event in the Apex...  9 finishes out of 14 match ups.  I'd say it delivered and the results are a lot better than many of the past events this year.

Anyway here are the results.  I think 155 and 170 should be on the look out for this guy Orolbai.  I was surprised he beat up Uros Medic the way he did on short notice...  Pure dominance.

Brendan Allen def Paul Craig  Submission R3
Michael Morales def Jake Matthews  UD
Chase Hooper def Jordan Leavitt Submission R1
Payton Talbott def Nick Aguirre  Submission R3
Amanda Ribas def Luana Pinheiro  TKO R3
Myktybek Orolbai def Uros Medic  Submission R2
Joanderson Brito def Jonathan Pearce  Submission R2
Jose Johnson def Chad Anheliger  Submission R3
Christian Leroy Duncan def Denis Tiuliulin  TKO R2
Mick Parkin def Caio Machado  UD
Jeka Saragih def Lucas Alexander  KO R1
Ailín Pérez def Lucie Pudilova  UD
Trey Ogden vs Nikolas Motta  No Contest
Rafael Estevam def Charles Johnson  UD

And here's the post fight press conference.  Enjoy.  Wink

For sure I believe that there is no other reason for Jon Jones to be back in the UFC, and Dana White just needs time to think about it but yeah it was surely all about money for sure, and that injury from before was just not what Dana White is expecting but it surely happens, and if the Tyson Fury VS Jon Jones could happen then that would be big money for both the UFC and Jon Jones, but I think Tyson Fury might be thinking carefully after his fight with Francis Ngannou, but it will depend if Tyson Fury will approve it, for sure if Jon Jones can win against Fury then what Francis Ngannou did will be worthless,

I was really happy with my bet results and for sure it was a perfect bet for me now here are the results and what happened with the UFC Fight Night Vegas 82 now the results

Brendan Allen VS Paul Craig ROUND 3 SUBMISSION - WIN

Brendan Allen was an exciting fighter to watch as well, Paul Craig got his defense in place at first but Brendan Allen did not stop with his pursuit with his submission. Allen dominated the fight in both stand-up and on the ground and Brendan did seem to get into the full mount on Paul Craig, even though Craig was defending the submission of Allen, Brendan Allen still got his great position on the ground, and gave Craig, not a crazy ground and pound but a very effective for sure an intelligent ground and pound for Allen, and for sure that submission Paul Craig have given his back to Allen and it was a dominant win for Brendan Allen,

Jake Matthews VS Michael Morales ROUND 3 DECISION - WIN

Another step-up win for Michael Morales even though it was a decision win for sure seeing the fight Michael Morales got amazing accuracy with his striking and was sure he remained undefeated Michael Morales was accurate with his distance and found an opening against Jake Matthews, and both have defended each takedowns and both fighters have shot only 1 takedown but for sure Morales gaining the upperhand with his striking and being consistent with his striking and sure I was right with my decision,

Amanda Ribas VS Luana Pinheiro ROUND 3 KO/TKO - WIN

The taller Amanda Ribas at 1st was getting a hard time against Luana Pinheiro but she made an adjustment with the fight for her to get back with the scoring, she targeted a Knockout for this fight with a very accurate Spinning kick to the face to knockout Luana Pinheiro for sure and for sure Amanda Ribas didn't stop until she is now winning the fight at first I really thought that Ribas will lose this fight because the 1st round was really imminent that she has gotten great shots from Pinheiro but still Amanda Ribas was victorious with that Spinning kick that Knockout Pinheiro,

Here is the result of my picks for the UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Craig

Brendan Allen (1.23) VS Paul Craig (4.20) - WIN

Great job for Brendan Allen Dominating the fight from the stand-up to the ground he dominated it, and those 2 successful takedowns that he got, while Paul Craig can not get any great takedowns, for sure Paul Craig was nothing for this guy I would say from start to finish Brendan Allen is destroying this guy so much, he might get a few shots or so but the damage is not here while Allen is too vicious for Paul Craig, it was really not fair to pit Craig against Allen that is for sure,

Michael Morales (1.31) VS Jake Matthews (3.50) - WIN

When it comes to striking for sure Jake Matthews sucks, and it is not fair to pit him against Michael Morales because this dude has insane accuracy with the standing actually Matthews has tried but because of the good takedown defense of Morales sure it really sucked for Matthews for not really giving him chance, while Michael Morales also give a takedown of his own but Jake Matthews also prevented it which for me he should stay in the ground and let Morales take him down and from there he should have scramble it up from there,

Jordan Leavitt (2.85) VS Chase Hooper (1.47) - LOST

The stand-up was really great but Hooper didn't expect that the fight would be on the ground early because he was expecting a lot more and the fight could be in a 3rd round at least, but again the scramble on the ground is what happened and for sure these two did exchange a great ground battle but again Chase Hooper was really excelled what Jordan Leavitt can do with the wrestling and for sure Chase Hooper have given him,

Well, next event is in two weeks. Dont know how we gonna kill that time quick Cheesy But it promised to be much better than Allen vs Craig. At least 4 fights in main event card looks to be exciting. Hey tokeweed, are you ready to make fight card post or is lazy today like me? Cheesy

P.S. Btw, what do you guys do during these long pauses between events? Watch other promotions or power slap?

I very may well just do it...  If I'm not lazy.  Lol.  And if there aren't any events during a weekend I usually watch fight replays at YT or MMACore and wherever I could find them.  I also watch the EPL which I used be a huge fan of.  I still am but I haven't been watching it as much as I used to.  And there's also F1.  But my interest has been waning as of late too tbh.

Here's a fight reply that was uploaded in the UFC's Brazilian recently.  What a banger.

Businesswise Stipe vs Jones will make sense for Jones. Less risky and with higher pay than fighting Tom which could fatally backfire on Jones ending his career with a loss. That's not good for someone who wanted to be the goat.

Giving Blaydes the rematch with Tom will be good to see how it would have happened if the injury hadn't happened. Tom's belt is fake. UFC just made it so that Jones will not be stripped. But he should have been stripped. In an interview, Tom also said so.

You know, on one hand Aspinal really deserves to a fight against Jones, or just be counted as a division champ. On the other, people still consider that he must prove something, still needs that "just one more fight to prove that he could face champion". Some say that he should have a rematch against Blaydes, but I think that right now, Blaydes must earn a chance to have a fight against Aspinal. Because Aspinal is a "champion" now, but Blaydes has lost his previous fight.

Enjoy...

For sure the next event for the UFC will be UFC Fight Night: Dariush vs. Tsarukyan and it will be on December 2, so yeah it is a long wait so I watch other promotions like the PFL which I have already made my bet, for their upcoming event this week, here is the thread for the other MMA promotions, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197906.msg63190148#msg63190148

And just like you, I am also on to F1 and right now the latest grand prix is full of controversies and many fans are upset for sure and think that Charles Leclerc would win that one because he is doing great with the practice and qualifying but again Max Verstappen never give up and still manage to win in the Las Vegas GP,

Businesswise for sure but not what fans want as many still don't want to see Stipe Miocic for me I can be OK with it as for sure Stipe Miocic will need that money for his retirement for sure the UFC still wants to cash in Jon Jones, but his injury could be that great if he can recover fast for sure we will be an early next year fight between Jones and Miocic,

And yes Blaydes VS Aspinall is indeed a great idea of a not-finish fight for sure and it will be an interesting fight as for sure we will see if Blaydes has indeed a metal leg,

Yup, there are still a lot of question marks on Aspinall as we've not seen much of him in the cage cos he's finished all his opponents in less that three rounds or so.  Kindly check if I'm wrong but on the top of my head, I don't remember anybody really testing him.  He got a bit tired vs Arlovski but then finished him early at R2 with a rear naked choke.

Early finishes usually means suspect cardio at later rounds.  :/

But then again all those early finishes could mean that those opponents were not in his level.  So dunno...

Exactly. If we ask some random UFC fan who has Aspinall beaten, he would hardly name any 3 fighters, and they probably won be from top5 heavyweights. But that is also a curse of current heavyweight division in general. Everyone knows Jones and Ngannou and connect them with UFC heavyweights. But Ngannou is no longer in UFC and Jones is not much of a fighter (more like a troublemaker). Who else we have? Miocic is old. Pavlovich recently lost to Aspinall. For majority, everyone else are decent, good, average. Or lets say victory over them wont impress much.

The thing is, everybody knows and expects Stipe to be an easy fight for Jones. Jon tries to wrap it up as fighting against the heavyweight GOAT, but that's simply not true. Stipe was great but he's effectively retired and going back to the octagon only for the money.
With that in mind, I'm not so sure if the pay would be higher for Stipe than for Aspinall. Tom made his name quite quickly and everybody knows he's the real challenge, defeating him would undoubtedly prove that Jones is the greatest in the world. I know which fight I'd prefer to see and I'm sure most of the UFC fans would agree.

Nah, I don't see it. Just because Tom injured himself in that fight doesn't mean Blaydes deserves to fight the (interim) champion.
I don't agree Jones should've been stripped, but he should definitely be facing the interim belt holder immediately after his recovery.

Two champion in one division is great. After all the other one is inactive and they can be activated when someone with a potential PPV money maker comes up.
Stipe is arguably the greatest in UFC HW but of course, Stipe isn't what he was at this point. They could have done this fight a long time ago but why did Dana have to wait?

No one wants to see Stipe fight at this point due to his age but because this is a legacy fight as Dana said, it would happen and make Jones the Goat.
They didn't make it easy for Tom to rise in UFC, he was on his winning streak and then matched to one of the toughest Blaydes.

People want to see Jones vs Aspinall of course, will Dana agree to be on the UK market? Most likely not

Why not ? UFC already have and had Michael Bisping, who was a middleweight champion. He even defended his belt against Henderson in UK. This was their second fight and Bisping avenged his loss in first fight via a huge KO. So Dana is ok with UK market. How can Dana disagree not to be on UK market, when they had events in different cities ?

Maybe I dont understand what you meant under "UK market" ? Maybe this is UK fighters in general? That he would rather see a non-UK fighter being a champ/becoming a champ non in UK?

Anyway, Jon Jones next fight 99% is going to be in Vegas Cheesy
