I love how Craig/Coingeek already started damage control.

As I’ve explained in court proceedings, I believe I will receive information in January 2020 that will enable us to identify coins I mined into my companies in 2009 and 2010, but cannot be certain that all of that information will in fact arrive. I have not said the private keys to those coins would become available, or if so, actually used, in January 2020. In the next few weeks, we will be holding trust meetings and working out the next steps going forward in 2020.

Imperial or Metric? I mean, is it Celsius or Fahrenheit? I think Australians use Celsius, so 78 F is 25 C.

Anyone know whether our special friend operates on Australian time no matter where he is?

It's 2020 in Sydney now. That means he should've revealed bitcoin's 'fatal flaw' by now and he might already be giving the 'bonded courier' a cuppa after such a long journey.

So bitcoin should already not exist, and he should be dumping 1 million non existent coins any second.

Oh and monero and zcash should be broken too.

Busy 24 hours for him.

In 2020, BSV (and BCH too) are going very butt hurt...

#BCH and #BSV have played a dumb game to produce blocks faster than the average 10mn time, toying with the difficuty adjustment algorithm.
They are one month ahead of #BTC for their halving. Prepare yourself to see their hashrate crumble and may be chain stuck after the halving.
While #bitcoin will still produce a block reward of 12.5 BTC / block until its halving, #BSV (#bitcoinSV from #faketoshi) and #BCH will give a tiny 6.25 coin reward per block, with a much lower demand.
Miners will have to massively leave their chain to mine BTC for better rewards
Its not their Tx fees than can reverse this situation.
BCH and BSV have indeed produced +/- 1000 more blocks than Bitcoin although they should all be at around the same height ( around 610750 for BTC).
Hold your beers...

Yeah, that fucktwat australian pumpkin farmer will do whatever he can in his own interest in order to spin matters, and you gotta be pretty fucking dumb to either have believed that he had the capability of moving anything close to a million coins (even close to 100k coins would be amazing for some dweeb like that to accomplish), and so yeah, no matter how the twit spins the matter and give him all kinds of benefits of the doubt, we are going to be witnessing excuses and putting things off or changing goals or reframing the situation rather than anything meaningfully close to his having any real physical access to accomplishing the moving/controlling coins objectives that he had proclaimed to have had.

More evidence of a fraud, and surprising that any stupid follower of his does not catch on at some point, and funny his fraud coin has not gone to zero, too... his coin seems to be holding value pretty decently given all of the ongoing ridiculousness of the whole thing.

BSV is probably in a better position. It only has one miner - our favourite chicken fiddler - who'll stick at it no matter what while it fits his plans.

He clearly doesn't give a fuck about how much it costs him to keep it alive and a reduction in block reward won't matter. And I doubt on chain fees have ever crossed his perverted mind, not that there are any.

I'll guess he's waiting for a generalised alt pump to offload. If that doesn't materialise in the next couple of years then we can talk death.

BCH is rather more up in the air as I presume there's a bit more pragmatism from the people who mine it.

If BCH still has Bitmain's favours, it stands a chance. Bitmain will be served early by TMSC for the 5nm node, so a new gen of ASICs will come in 2020. Should be H2 though.

Without Bitmain support, BCH is in deep waters.

For BSV, around the halving we'll already have had a lot more fun from the Kleiman case + the McCormack trial for libel (schedulded for april), which will get more bad PR for BSV, because they really suck at damage control. Everytime faketoshi runs his big mouth, it's more evidence piling against him.

BSV is starting to lose long time supporters whether it's twitter or reddit.

Calvin boy will indeed bleed more money.

Karma.

Well, doesn't it seem that Bitmain's hand is kind of forced in terms of their bcash (referring to the ABC version rather than the SV version) support.  Of course, they could write the whole thing off, but they leveraged pretty damned deeply into that badboy, and surely there are some questions regarding either where it is going to lead them, in terms of ongoing bag holding.. and/or if they can continue to sustain it.  Surely there could be some insider ways that investors like Calvin can keep profitable with SV, but seems like a BIG ASS stretch... and jeez, could it also be possible that fraudster pumpkin farmer could end up in jail before such April trial?  Maybe I am engaged in too much wishful thinking regarding a possible "prevailing of justice" but I doubt that courts are very tolerant to the ongoing shenanigans of being lied to in court proceedings... even when some of the proceedings might be behind the scenes and apparent settlement efforts.

CSW giving so many excuses, ... he just can't simply admit that he never had access to anything anyways. Anyone who mined anything back in 2009 would have kept copies or backups, particular those who had more forethought about the future.

Indeed. #Faketoshi CSW has given many excuses ... aside from the non-existent wallets are we supposed to believe that he also left the corresponding 'Satoshi' GPG key in his cow shed in Bagnoo, NSW ... ?

...

Whilst I might be considered frivolous with my own early bitcoins that I solo mined in 2010, I even managed to extract my empty wallets from old hard drives and easily import them into the latest Bitcoin Core release for signing ...

Verifying my (old) zero balance wallet address for blockchain research etc.,
- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4630066.0

... if anyone believes actual Satoshi wouldn't of had forethought about the future, in regards to wallets with coins, they are likely very much mistaken, thus perhaps something very unfortunate did happen here ...

How the likes of Gavin Andresen fell for CSW's antics is beyond the pale, either that or he was already in on this whole charade / failed takeover bid.

 Roll Eyes

WTF did just happen?
I possess a JJG star of valor, but this is beyond outrageous. Shocked

Your telling me!

Hilarious ... Remember when CSW made an attempt to copyright the Bitcoin whitepaper and actually put his own name on the top of the 1st page ...

... well the version at hxxps://bitcoinsv.io/ e.g. hxxps://bitcoinsv.io/bitcoin.pdf is currently the original whitepaper and of course links back to ...

www.bitcoin.org

 Grin

Furthermore, to quote hxxps://bitcoinsv.io/ ... apparently CoinGeek 'created' - BSV ... and not CSW or Satoshi ...

"... Satoshi Vision

Reflecting its mission to fulfil the vision of Bitcoin, the project name represents the “Satoshi Vision” or SV. Created at the request of leading BSV mining enterprise CoinGeek and other miners, Bitcoin SV is intended to provide a clear choice for miners and allow businesses to build applications and websites on it reliably. ..."

 Cheesy

Also, https://github.com/bitcoin-sv-specs/protocol/blob/master/updates/genesis-spec.md

"Maximum Transaction Size

The size of a transaction is the size in bytes of the serialized form of the transaction[^2].

The maximum size of a transaction is 1GB (1,000,000,000 bytes). This limitation is expected to be lifted in the future."

ROFL ...

BSV folks clearly don't understand that the fees go up when the tx volume goes up with 'utility' / increased usage ...

Unlike BTC (in the main part) this will also include reams and reams of pointless / useless data being uploaded into the blocks as an intended 'feature' of the software ...

In short, may all BSV blocks be 1GB+ and then best of luck syncing / downloading the BSV blockchain - let alone reliably accessing the onchain data.

BSV will likely bork itself. Hell, some crazy fool might even try to upload say the entire VX heavens .torrent contents file by file, block by block, or something - god forbid !
