Hahaha ...

Have transacted on both BTC and BSV chains, both work fine.
We are in uncharted territory, nobody knows what's going to happen in the next year/ 10 year.
It's always wise to spread risk.

What's going to happen is the BSV blockchain is going to be filled with pointless useless data and transactions will end up being slower than BTC.

BSV might be running OK now, but just watch what happens. Mark my words. At best it becomes centralized, at worst totally borked.

BSV is not the World Brain. It also cannot be the internet of everything.

BSV Team - Are community of honesty peoples, supporters, volunteers, coders etc.

BSV is not only CSW & Ayre.

Don't touch BSV, trolls. Send all your claims to CSW

Theymos, sorry please if something offended you

BSV Team
Claiming that a fork (of a fork) of Bitcoin is 'BitCoin' is dishonest and fraudulous. Anyone actively supporting BSV is as dishonest as Faketoshi himself.

Come on, stop it, they are not dishonest! They are simply delusional.
Don't harsh people with mental illness man! Lips sealed

I really feel sorry for all the people who are just starting and trying to understand crypto though... so much shit and misinformation. Undecided

Yes, they are dishonest. They're actively promoting Craig as Satoshi and trying to convince people that their centralized altcoin is Bitcoin.

"fake team member and plagiarized white paper" and more ...

"You can not patent code. You can only patent an invention which is implemented in your code. An invention is a new and unique way of doing something. Most of all, it must be something nobody did before. If anyone used the same technique which you describe in your patent, that's called prior art and invalidates your patent. So trying to get a patent on something somebody else invented and implemented in code would be futile. ..."

No shit. Relevance?

Did you somehow forget your dev is crypto's biggest patent troll?

Apparently being a fraud and a conman wasn't low enough for him.

More evidence that BSV supporters don't understand the world they are living in, let alone Bitcoin.

Miners are running the show, the backbone, the creation of blocks, the verification of everything

If they don't do all such, they might get orphaned and risk losing chunks of money or even entire long term investments.

It is redicules to believe some reconciliation with thick clients (slow nodes) on RasPI piss would do anything good

Too bad that almost all BSV transactions are being made by the same handful of addresses.
What? Are you saying they're... spamming to fake their transactions? Say it isn't so cause I need to believe!

Given all the spam that disappeared from bitcoin once the block size battle was resolved it doesn't surprise me they'd do something like that.

Define SPAM, especially on BitCoin where it costs fees to send txs.

I ll give u a hint

How about productive network capacity demonstration or real use.

Spam happens on free internet, metanet will fix all that
You've been here long enough to not be so clueless.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Spam_transactions

The network was being spammed to inflate the transactions in order to attempt to justify increasing the block size. And yes, it costs money and they were willing to do that. When they didn't get their way, miraculously they started bitcoin cash and the spam on bitcoin went away. Go figure.

No, not spam again. Rather expensive pointing out / voting for having enough exzess capacity that is needed for exponential growing social networks.

Yes, I m long enough here to get that

No shit. Relevance?

Did you somehow forget your dev is crypto's biggest patent troll?

While I am unsure on the matter, I think nChain has the largest portfolio of patents in the crypto currency and Blockchain space. Not knowing your definition of "patent troll" -- not exactly a dictionary term -- I really have no way to respond to your question.

Incidentally, the title of 'your dev' is a complete non-sequitur, seeing as 'dev' is pretty universally applied to 'the peeps who write the code'. An activity that CSW (am I safe in assuming it is him to which you refer?) pays others to do. And, of course, that whole 'your' thing.

Though whatever the outcome of that little sidebar, it sheds exactly zero light upon the questionable relevance of the quoted tirade by BitcoinFX.

Try again? Or let BitcoinFX speak for him/herself?

TBH that thread is one of the reasons I initially left this forum and Bitcoin (returning in 2013).

I don't know if that thread is a reason the real Satoshi left. However, forums are places for open (and private) discussions concerning many subject topics, hence the reason why forums (or threads) should not be used to help spread 'false' narratives and/or mis-information!

Note that I did not post anything in that thread and neither did the 'Satoshi' forum account either.

The thread originator is this guy ...

I cannot speak for Sirius, Theymos and others posting in that thread (Gavin Andresen included!).

P.P.S. If CSW ever 'proves' he is/was one of Satoshi he/they (and/or) his companies are also going to potentially be owing myself (and many others) a lot of money (bitcoin).

Wondering if anyone knows of any links (even tenuous) between this fellow, CSW and/or Calvin Ayre ?

Hello everyone! I have some interesting thoughts to put forward about Hal Finney being Satoshi. (I don't know if they are new or not)

I would say that Craig Wright is a liar and maybe Hal Finney is the creator of Bitcoin because:

* Hal Finney died because of complications with ALS in 2014. (Bitcoin was created in 2009)
* Only a dying person has no interest in fame or money and that is why he hid is name and worked for a greater cause, to revolutionise and discourage centralised banking systems.
* Why would someone like Craig Wright try to be 100% private and then all of a sudden become public? He also only became public AFTER Hal Finney's death.

"Craig Wright - Lying about Hal Finney once more. 🤦‍♂️

Craig recently claimed in public that "cypherpunk-affiliated developers like Hal Finney held patents".

Nope. It's a lie, Craig. A few of Hal's emails are referenced in 8 patents, that's all. But he had no patents himself."

Imagine returning to the project years later and being unable to provide any publicly verifiable proof whatsoever of being said originator.

Imagine creating a copy of a copy of said project and then claiming it to be the original project.

Imagine trying to copyright and patent said software without proving that your the originator.

Imagine instead providing a plethora of proven false information and forged documents to the contrary and in a court of law.

Imagine being part of a community that would think any of the above was OK either now or in the future.

Imagine trying to solve a transaction volume scaling issue by instead storing unlimited amounts of data on chain.

Imagine thinking its OK to endorse other software developers to effectively build on quick sand.

Imagine being a crypto exchange that thinks its OK to list and allow trade of the forked chain against itself.

Imagine being a regulator, law maker or law enforcer that allows the above to persist.

Imagine thinking the above is a vision of sound money, a store of value or digital cash.

Imagine patenting a free and open source software protocol (effectively copyleft) and thinking you might try to enforce them.

Imagine following, supporting or investing in any of the above.

Imagine thinking that big business is not going to see straight through all of this and is going to use and embrace it wholeheartedly.

If this has been presented/talked about here already, forgive me.

One of my favorite posts here (or topic in this case) is Satoshi’s “Escrow” thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=750.msg8140#msg8140

I see Smart Contracts as one of the most promising technologies in this space so I was pretty excited when I came across this thread.  While Satoshi does not mention “smart contracts” by name, it seems pretty clear that’s exactly what he’s referring to.  I’m no Mr Robot so I asked the person who would know better than anyone-  Nick Szabo (creator of Smart Contracts, bit-gold ..and maybe much more .. wink) . I sent him the link to satoshis post and he confirmed “while a bit vague, yes I believe that’s what Satoshi is referring to”.

I decided to ask Craig Wright a few months later if smart contracts were implemented in to bitcoin and its blockchain. He responded to me saying “yes, I built smart contracts in to bitcoin from day 1”.

In the first paragraph of the Escrow thread Satoshi states -

Here's an outline of the kind of escrow transaction that's possible in software.  This is not implemented and I probably won't have time to implement it soon, but just to let you know what's possible.

I guess there’s a possibility Satoshi wasn’t referring to smart contracts, but it’s seems more likely than not that’s exactly what he was referring to.

So pointing out the obvious..Craig told me he built these contracts in on day one, directly conflicting with Satoshis own words, stating he had not had time to implement the tech yet nor will be able to anytime soon. Just seems like another small but obvious gaff in Craig’s web of lies.
