No need to shill. It's clearly a carrier issue. All pictures show the case itself bent. Unless you think they manufactured a bent case, the package had to be hit with enough force to go through box, padding and still be hard enough to bend a metal case.

seems that couriers play basketball with every S2 that they handle
No problems here with 2 different shipments. Don't worry, be happy. Also for me no problems with different shipments, but i just feel lucky after have seen these pics

Unless you think they manufactured a bent case, the package had to be hit with enough force to go through box, padding and still be hard enough to bend a metal case. this - that is more damage than what an upside-down/sideways shipping box would ever cause. that said, bitmain obviously needs to step up the standards a little bit if there are such rampant reports of damaged miners in shipment. there is an very easy way to know if the miner and its packaging will survive transit (and prove it to your customers): Pack it up, tape the box shut, and then roll it off the top step of a large staircase. Do this on video and then film the unboxing. If the unit is banged up and cards came loose you have an issue, since UPS will treat it no better than you just did. I'm 100% serious - really give the shipping box a hard shove so it gets some bounce. You have no idea how badly UPS and other couriers handle 'fragile' items. If the packaging is done right the unit should survive courier.

Do you have the numbers, do we even know the scope of the number of shipped S2's? I imagine its a pretty big number.

After reseating everything, it powered on . Only one blade seems to be dead, I moved it around different slots and was able to figure out which one it is. Time to contact Bitmain ... It's #10 on the pic below.

I have always said that UPS hires gorillas and dresses them in men suits to throw, err, carry around the packages.

From what I remember seeing on availability numbers on the Bitmain site, it has been between 1200 and 3500 per batch, so between 5000 and 12000 total units sent out to date, I would say. It's a lot, I guess, depending on who you ask, but not really. The S2 probably takes a good amount of time longer than the S1 to make.

And thats just whats sold on the site, they sell a lot more to big datafarm owners.

I only ordered one personally, and it arrived problem free and has been running stable at 1100GH (overclocked) for weeks. But this thread is evidence that there are lots of units getting banged up, moreso by poor courier handling then poor workmanship. this means a better box/foam is needed generally, and i bet a lot of issues would be avoided

I just wanted to let you guys know that BitMain has an AWESOME warranty service here in the USA, and that this options is UNKNOWN to most of you!!!
Instead shipping your stuff back to China they've got a place in Conifer, Colorado!
When one of my Batch 1 S2 Miners went belly up because of a faulty Beagle board they actually shipped me a REPLACEMENT S2 !!! No deposit, no nothing!
When some of my S1 miners developed bad boards (only 2, out of 47) - same thing - USPS to Colorado and a replacement in a week, or so.
If you've got problems, or need some support contact them at 844-248-6246 or sushireview on Skype - this guy is AMAZING !!!
I have spent upward of 150+ BTC on bitcoin hardware, both with BitMain and Sushi, but Sushi will bend over backwards to make sure you are hashing asap !!!! If you need AntMiners why not spend your money with Sushi and get a ton of loyalty and support in the process?
This post is not commercial in any way, it is just to let you know that there is an option for an AWESOME source of SUPPORT if any of your BitMain products has a problem!
That's all I've got!
Mike
