ok thx. sort of similar to multipool, biggest complaint I had was mining less profitable coins, and being stuck with them. Exactly. We don't auto-convert to BTC, cad_cdn.

Yes, we're very similar to Multipool.us, we're partners with them actually. The main difference is that we do research and analysis on new coins, and mine the ones that we feel will be the most profitable at the time of selling. The tricky part with Multipool.us is that they auto-switch based on current profitability, which isn't necessarily the profit at the time of selling.
We try to pick ones that are profitable to mine currently but have a high potential to see a big increase, basically.

Stinks VOOT failed, but that's the risk of new coins. Those who managed to sell back when it was 500 satoshi though, probably happy. I held too long but was a tiny investment.
And now the price goes back up up up haha. Not panic dumping may pay off. New popular dev picked it back up.

The short story with VOOT, from what I've seen, is that they had a squabble among their team. Their lead developer dumped the premine and ran off. The price hit rock bottom, and a couple of well known people on bitcointalk stepped in to takeover the coin's development. They put up a new announcement thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=639371.new#newThe current price and strong potential for it to increase make it worth mining for now.. we'll be regularly evaluating the situation and can change coins at any time if things start to look bad with it again.

The price on VOOT has collapsed again, so we're off of it for the time being. We'll continue monitoring the situation of course, and any alternate suggestions for coins to mine are always welcome. I still haven't seen a lot of promising other options today though yet.. UPDATE: We added LeagueCoin on the X11 multiport.

Any suggestion from us won't likely help.. crypto is decentralized and tends to favor those who like remaining anonymous. Your idea is a nice thought, but won't likely catch on. Keep in mind that scams happen every day in the real world too. New coins will always be more of a risk than established ones, but that's why increased profits are possible. If we only mined coins with prominent, publicly known development teams and a full marketing budget, and corporate support, we would never make more than the cost of electricity, because everyone in the world would be mining the same coin. Differentiation in the market is a good thing.. it is the driving force behind competition.
Thanks for the response. It's fair enough.

Quick bit of news: ShibeCoin has released "version 2", which requires conversion. It uses a new blockchain and new wallet - exchanges have already updated. We have updated our ShibeCoin wallet and converted our existing coins to "version 2".
We cleared all ShibeCoin withdrawal addresses and reset everyone's auto-withdrawal thresholds on ShibeCoin to 10M coins to avoid auto-paying to an old wallet address.
Please enter a new, "version 2" ShibeCoin address when you withdraw!
@MajidBC LOL's profitability has been consistently awful, because the price fell by 75% from the time we added it last night. We're looking for a better alternative, but it has been at around 50% of DarkCoin's profitability for a while so we had to change the X11 multiport.

Thanks for the response. Cloakcoin which uses X13 alog has a good nethash and good profitability, I guess. Just a suggestion.

Hey are you guys going to get X13 support soon?
Seems most of the profitable coins go X13 instead of X11

Yeah x11 is old news, x13 has been more profitable and believe it or not my rigs are more stable with it. Gonna be hard to relive the glory days of whitecoin when we where killing it in profit early on. Maybe instead of just finding the latest coins, maybe branch out and find the hottest algo's. Ipominer has missed the boat lately on coins from the x13 algo.
Edit: also more unlikely to be mining piece of shit copycat coins with a brand new algo

Yes, we're working on adding support for x13, but it takes time to test and integrate new algorithms. We'll let you know when it is ready.
