It is still surprising how the goal came for the Arsenal vs Sparta Prague game. After over 80 minutes of play without a single goal and less balls on target, in less than 5 minutes towards end of the second half, they both scored and dragged the game to a 1-1 draw. Thats quite a thing, 1 goal in the 86th and the other in the 90th minute.

AS Roma had the game of the evening.  After being down by a goal, they came back to beat Ajax by 1-2 goals. So unexpected, I thought AS Roma had lost this one and would be looking forward to a second meeting to make a difference. It seemed the Italian team had all hands on deck for this game.

Ajax, ManU and Villarreal (not dinamo) are all leading with 1 goal after 50 minutes of the game. Arsenal 0-0 Slavia and yeah that game is a hard one to predict how it will end. I expect more games to come from ManU and in Ajax - Roma game.

Very badly defended by Ajax, they are superior and get the 1: 2 through a standard goal. Would be the first home defeat since 2013 or 2014 in the Europa League. Ajax has a very tough program for the next few days

in the second half, Ajax played too attacking and forgot about their defense. overall the match was dominated by ajax, it's just that luck was not on their side.

I knew it! I was waiting for Roma to win and it did it!! After the first goal from Ajax I said ok maybe a draw but scoring 2 goals in Amsterdam is good. ManU added another goal as expected too. At the end a draw between Arsenal and Slavia will make things a little bit harder for Arsenal since Slavia will try in the worst scenario to keep the score 0-0 next..

This year's big surprise could be if Arsenal elimination. Of course, if this happens. A very advantageous score for Slavia in the first match. If they prepare well for the rematch, we can see a big surprise. Roma’s  comeback has been wonderful. In the 87th minute, Ibanez scored the salvation goal for Roma. Ajax still has a chance to pass the tour however, in the other game, Roma will do his best to pass the round.

 My favorites for these two matches: Roma and Arsenal.

I think is finally time for Slavia Prague to test what it feels to lose a game after so many games without losing.Arsenal should have no problems of winning today if they take the match seriously and they should based on what happened to Leicester and Rangers.

so it will be better than the arsenal not to draw because if this game ends in a draw I believe that we will see the same scenario of the past where Slavia Prague managed to move to another stage (in recent games against English teams). if the arsenal defense makes the same mistakes it did in the game against liverpool then they will lose

I don't think Slavia Prague can manage to draw with Arsenal. It will be a very tough away game for them. I expect Arsenal to win it with a 2-goal difference.

arsenal is a team that when the person thinks they will win they lose and for this game i would not put so much faith that the arsenal can win easily

As for Granada - Manchester Utd, I think it may end in a draw. And even it can be enough for Manchester Utd to finish the job in the second leg.

I am very disappointed with Arsenal game yesterday.They couldn't score until the 88th minute and just when I thought I won my single bet on them they conceded an equalizer on the very last minute of the game in additional time.Looks like Slavia Prague is not here at this point in Europa League just because of luck,still I am confident Arsenal will qualify further.

Arsenal 1:1 Slavia. I wouldn't call it as big surprise. Yeah, Arsenal played better, but they can blame themselves for wasted moment. How Lacazette didn't scored when he was 1 on 1 vs goalkeeper. And after all, Slavia also had good moments and deserved to score. 2nd leg will be damn hot.
Ajax 1:2 Roma. What a great game with lot of action. Ajax didn't played bad, but they missed penalty and their goalkeeper made big mistake when Roma scored.
Man Utd made big step towards semifinal. Solid 2:0 away win.

Ajax was playing a good match but too bad a blunder of the keeper and a missed penalty screwed their changes to get to the next round. Let's see if Ajax can play the same way the next match and then it can be still interesting.

For me it was never a penalty, Theophile's hand is a bit out of position but according to new rules not every hand in the box is a penalty anymore. It hit him from a small distance, he was showing his intention to move the hand away and he could not have defended that with his hands at the back.

Still, Villarreal deserved the win. It's not the best result, but not a horrible one as well.

Theophile has become a player that Dinamo must get rid of as soon as possible if they want to achieve something in Europe.
It seems to me that he has lost confidence since that game in the group stage of the Champions League against Shakhtar last year, when his stupid last-minute error prevented Dinamo from going through the group.
He made a big mistake against Tottenham in London and now again.
In matches like this all players have to be fully ready and concentrated to the maximum but that has not been the case for Theophile for a long time and he obviously can't cope with the pressure of big matches and he is Dinamo's biggest handicap.

It this quite interesting to see a little accident Ajax vs Rome when the goal boy throws the ball at Calafiori, this is quite embarrassing for the host and it couldn't happen too when Calafiori didn't spining the time. by doing this he got a yellow card for stalling the time either.

Beautiful Europa league night with good results for Roma and Manchester United who are going to their home ties with 2 away goal rules. The tie between Villarreal, Dinamo, rsenal and Slavia is much open. While Granada has to score 3 unreplied goals to go the next round, and Ajax needs 2 unreplied goals.

After yesterday evening my tips are no longer realistic, for Ajax the next match are very hard Roma will fight a defensive battle and wait for a counterattack, so Ajax not only needs a good game but also the necessary luck. At Arsenal vs Prague all open with a slight advantage for Prague, and Manchester and Villareal will play your games home.

I do not know why this would be a surprise to you,,, goals and games involving all the big teams have been so hard to predict in the leagues and even in Europe club competitions. My own Spurs got knocked out when I thought even they had a big chance to be in the final.

I do agree with that in general, I still do not think it was a penalty though. He is prone to silly mistakes, but so were Lauritsen (a few cheap possession giveaways in dangerous zones), Ristovski (few horrible 10n1 defendings) and Gvardiol (too slow to defend Chukwueze most of the match) yesterday.
Theophile's mistake was the one that was punished, other than that he had a decent enough game. The penalty really was a harsh call.

Very good games yesterday and also 2 surprising results happened, at least in my opinion. I already thought that it would be possible for slavia praha to maybe manage a draw against Arsenal because the english club is just not in shape these days or maybe even in the entire season, but that praha really managed to pull it off in the end surprised me after all. 
Also i was not expecting Roma winning in Amsterdam against ajax, even though the home advantage is not as big or a maybe not there at all at the moment due to covid restrictions you would still expect the home team to win a game between two teams of the same quality.

I am also very disappointed with Arsenal's performance being conceded in the 94th minute, Arsenal players should be able to concentrate more
until  the game ends. This is also a lesson for Mikel Arteta not to play Willian as a starter in important matches. I feel Willian's contribution is not
as good as when he played at Chelsea. I agree that in the second leg Arteta must replace some of the players with players who have better quality,
I recommend that Aubameyang and Pepe be starters. I still believe Arsenal can qualify for the next round.

Both games were exciting actually i was not surprised by arsenal draw since they are not stable in performance and they met with a good team and they didnt lose in a while on the otherhand ajax team did not deserve to lose a few years back they began to show high level performance both in champions league i thought this year will be their's but now they are at a disadvantage.

The beauty of European competitions is the surprises that happens week in week out; and this is why the clubs must refrain and not let fifa or uefa launch any mega competition for top clubs. All clubs has got alot of work to do in the return leg. Manchester United has to win or draw at home to Granada; Arsenal needs an early away goal away at Prague to stand a chance to qualify to the next round. Ajax needs 2 away goals in Italy. Expect more quality performances in the return leg next week thursday

Of all the matches I managed to guess only one with Man U... I liked the game of Roma, they showed a good level of soccer, despite all the disagreements within the team...
Europa League was harder to predict than Champions League!

The controversy behind Fernandes' penalty for being violated by Eteki, in my opinion, MU deserves to win. MU controlled the game, they were superior to the players. Win 2-0 made MU a little calm to play in the second leg. Unfortunately Scott McTominay, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire will miss the second leg. This is because they get a penalty for not being able to appear due to accumulated cards after receiving a yellow card in this match.

For the others I was a little surprised that Ajax lost to As Roma, I thought Ajax would win, but my guess was wrong.
