Actually, Manchester United will be more enthusiastic when playing at home with a 1-1 capital in their pockets because I believe that Manchester United will improve their performance in order to win at home and ensure that they qualify for the next round.
It's not all about a Ronaldo, but about how to play really well in order to win against Atletico Madrid.

They played aggressively against opponents in Premier League but they did not get good results. From the match in a first leg against Athletico Madrid, I don't see any difference from Manchester United performance. They still rely on De Gea to save their goal, rely on their stars' personal performance and moments to score goals and win or get a draw. It is not what a winning team should have.

Even Athletico Madrid have their problems which are shown with their current position in La Liga, they are still have better connection and psychology in their team. I put my belief on them in the second leg, even it will be hold in Old Trafford.

I think Manchester United played quite well considering their recent form and inconsistency. I think the problem with Manchester United is that they are not being able to defend well at all and The Attacks that they are trying to form are not producing the result that they want. I think we all can agree that they looked a little desperate and frustrated in the match against Atletico Madrid.

Actually, we can say the same thing about Atletico Madrid but the only difference is they scored quite early in the match and after that, they could not form any meaningful attack in my opinion. Let's see what happens in the next leg.

The relocation of the final to Paris is of course now additional motivation for PSG to reach the final, although there is still a long way to go and PSG is not as dominant as the squad makes it seem.

I think the only team that is comfortable now is Manchester City. How could it not, they are already 5 goals ahead of Sporting. And in the second leg I see the impossibility that Sporting will be able to come back and turn things around from Manchester City.

With the away goal rule no longer having an effect, then there is no other choice Man United must beat Atletico in the second leg to qualify
for the next round. Man United should have a big chance to beat Atletico, because Man United are playing at home and that is an advantage

A tie between ATM and United could be something very great, I mean it means that United actually got a tie at Madrid and that is a great thing. Now they are going to back to Manchester and that is going to be a lot better for them. I am not saying that we are going to see a win from United but I would say getting a tie at an away game is better than getting a tie at the home game and that means ATM is at a worse situation right now then United.

I would guess that if United managed to get a tie at the away game then it should be easier for them to get a win now against ATM at their home game. This is not guaranteed but it is definitely a better situation to be in.

I think Manchester United played well enough considering their current form. they did well to draw that match after being a goal down from almost at the start of the match. But I actually expected a better performance from Athletico Madrid as this was their home match. Now Manchester United has a good chance of winning the second leg as it will be played in their home ground. But, I actually will not be surprised if something opposite happens. Because to be honest I don't trust either of these teams right now.

I expected Chelsea to win easily against Lille and result-wise they did, but the game was more open than it looks at first glance. I was watching it because Liverpool play Chelsea in the cup final on Sunday and I wasn't impressed with Chelsea at all.

I feel they are in a downward spiral, they allowed Lille to arrive into dangerous zones quite often and couldn't keep possession well enough. They also had Kovačić and Ziyech come out with injuries so it remains to be seen whether they will be ready for the weekend.

Actually, I have to agree with this because I also think that Chelsea did not have that much control over the match as a lot of people thought they would and they had about half of the possession which is not good enough from a team like Chelsea against a very low-tier team.
They won the match but I think after they got the first goal, they took things a little easy and the opponent almost took the advantage of it. obviously, it doesn't feel like that from the scoreboard

For the Chelsea game against Lille,you can't blame Chelsea for not doing well because they've gotten to the middle of the season,when fatigue hits the team,and that is exactly what's happening to Chelsea at the moment,but yet,they are still winning matches and are still doing well.

And for the match against Liverpool by weekend,it's really going to be a tough match in deed,because Chelsea will not want to Loose to Liverpool,and vice versa.But I predict  a draw.and Liverpool winning the  on penalty shootout.

They did not play as expected but still got the win and in the end, I think that's what matters. and against Liverpool, it is certainly not going to be easy. Ajax got a draw versus Benfica by 2-2 yesterday and they could have defeated Benfica too in fact. But I still don't think that this will cause a serious trouble for them in the second leg. I have zero expectation like Ajax would have a hard time destroying Benfica home. Benfica did a good job in Portugal and resisted them. But they can't do the same thing by the same effort to Ajax again. Ajax would demolish Benfica like they did to Sporting in the group stage of the tournament.

They took the lead quite convincingly early in the first half which made them relax a bit but this had a pretty bad impact because gradually Benfica found their rhythm in the game which made them play better from the first half. And as a result, they scored 2 goals in return.
This is clearly a loss for Ajax even though they are playing at home but still it is very bad when they can actually maintain the advantage

I didn't expect Ajax Amsterdam to destroy Benfica to be honest. They might have been the better team, but for teams like Ajax it often turns out to not be that easy to play against Benfica in Portugal in a home game. I know Bayern Munich tore them apart a while ago, but Ajax isn't Bayern Munich. However, I don't really see a big chance for Benfica to a actually beat Ajax in the second leg. They are in top shape in their home stadium and Benfica would need a good portion of luck to eventually win that game.

But on the other hand Ajax are also quite tough in my opinion and I will still be pretty sure Ajax will qualify now.
Leg 2 now Benfica will play to the Amsterdam Arena and of course the intimidation from the Stadium and Ajax supporters they must be able to control if they really want to win in the match in Leg 2. it is impossible that they will lock up Benfica again in this 2nd leg
