I guess it's fair to assume that Bangbros are firm favorite for 1 up in this series.

It would be an insult to their batters if we are considering some sort of batting collapse tomorrow, especially against this spin attack. I've noticed this pattern, if the Subcontinent team gives any competitive spin deck or call it skill based track to SENA countries, their spinners fail 99.99% of the time.

Bangladesh lead by 205 runs and we have two days left in the match. If the Bangladesh do not lose wickets or collapse (which they should not), the most important thing will be when to declare ? They would want enough time to bowl out New Zealand in the last innings. the captain Najmul Hossain Shanto is not out at 104 runs and a lot will depend on his wicket. If he can keep the one end save, it may give roam for the other end batsmen to play freely and of course quickly.

Will the 4 sessions be enough with 350 runs lead or it can be 3.5 sessions with 400 lead ? This will be a tough decision to declare with a proper lead and proper remaining time in the match.

In the Test match, two batsmen of Bangladesh were run out like fools. In the past too we have seen Bangladeshi batsmen batting like fools. Bangladeshi batsmen should bat more professionally.
The performance of New Zealand's bowlers is quite poor. Ajaz Patel managed to take a wicket after bowling 23 overs. He picked up the wicket of Zakir in the 13th over. After that, New Zealand's bowlers could not pick up any wickets. New Zealand should have added experienced spin bowlers to the squad. Because almost every pitch in Bangladesh is spin friendly.

Well, I was expecting a batting collapse from Bangladesh as it's not odd for them. Credit to the Shanto and Mushfiq and Mominul too. But there is no reason to think they are safe at this moment. They can get packed in the next day's first session. We have two more days in hand which means we are not going to see a draw for sure.

Anyway, I am having a hard time understanding if you are also trolling them or not. Kindly help me understand if those were criticism. But, I have to agree with your statement too.

When SENA spinners play in sub-continent, it is always against sub-continental teams such as India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Because no one arranges matches between two SENA nations in sub-continent pitches. And no one plays spin bowling better than sub-continental batsmen. And this maybe one of the reasons why SENA spinners such as Warne always underperformed in the subcontinent. Anyway, back then Australia had quite a few quality spinners. Apart from Shane Warne, they also had Stuart MacGill and Brad Hogg.

op you are right. Mahmudul Hasan didn't  bat that well today but Bangladesh team didn't face any problem due to that. Bangladesh ended the game today with 212 runs for three wickets. After a long time we saw the great partnership of Nazmul Hasan Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim. Although we Nazmul Hasan Shanta 2023 World Cup he played well. However, Bangladesh's 2023 World Cup was full of batting failures. We definitely want Bangladesh to win the Test series against New Zealand. It seems that the current situation of Bangladesh team's game. New Zealand batted well enough. They managed to  take a lead of 7 runs. I thought the team would lose all wickets before 300. The team was able to collect 317 runs with the help of captain Tim Southee's 35 runs.

Yeh NewZeland performance were quite bad as none of thier batter scored  three digit rather then humble boy Williamson, which cost them a huge trouble in last stage of thier innings because they required much more runs and have just two wickets in hand and they were also not a experience batter but bowler, but thanks to southee and his partner who done a magnificent job and fill.the gap of required target. Now I think Bangladesh perfectly read pitch conditions and as a result they lose quick early wickets but now some of thier quality batters build a decent partnership which I think will help them them at least to took 350+ lead again NewZeland. I believe it will be a fair target for Bangladesh to defend as they have quality bowler and NewZeland has some bad experience which definitely shifts dominance toward Bangladesh and hope they will win first test too if NewZeland bat like they had done in his recent batting turn.

1st day, new Zealand did great bowling & stranded as a strong team untill Bangladesh start bowling on 2nd day and today we got the result as both team did the samilar run equivalently. And the last update is bd scored 212/3 with 68 overs where Najmul Hossain Shanto did his brilliant performance after long time and done a century 104(193) and still not out. Mushfiqur Rahim also have done great and if they can continue their partnership, Bangladesh could reach more than 350 run this time. But new Zealand is good team and they have ability to beat the targeted score

The highlighted part is true for subcontinent teams also, when they play in SENA so it's not an argument IMO.

Stuart MacGill hardly played any series in India so can't judge him at all but i am sure if he had then he would have received the same treatment as late Warne. Brad Hogg was a white ball spinner, not a red ball and there is a reason he only played 7 test matches.

A draw from this position will not be good for Bangladesh. They are 200+ runs ahead and when you know that New Zealand has to bat last and play to survive the test match, Bangladesh should go for a kill rather than just settle for a draw.

Seriously if Bangladesh aren't able to win this position, I do not expect anything from them. Also, a win for them will make the series which they cannot lose. So they may be going to the 2nd test match with much more conviction and confidence. This test match is crucial for the team's confidence and future.

That's the problem for Bangladesh, I don't know why Bangladesh's game gets messed up if there is a break. If Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim had batted a little longer yesterday, they would not have been out, but they were out at the start of the fourth day, meaning they had to start all over again on the fourth day.
