Why the heck are England screwing themselves once again when the bowled so freaking well? Losing 3 wickets for just 68 runs is really bad and it will put a ton of pressure on the other batsmen.

Am expecting them to surpass the target and provide a small lead to Australia though since they still have plenty of proper batsmen left.

English top order badly exposed in this series with no one able to give them good start at the end we have only Joe Root who is doing this all for years with sadly they completely fail to bring any consistent batsman specially against top teams like Australia and India now we are having third and most interested test match of this series and England done good job in bowling with the help of Wood and Woakes but their all hard work going to be in vain as their top order once again completely fail to give them anything positive.

Now we have only Joe Root, Jonny Baristow and captain Ben Stokes which can do something good if they want to come back into this series, otherwise things are looking not good even after having good start of this test match.

Yes only 68 run for 3 wickets it is really bad for England. In test cricket wicket is very important. England already lost three wicket. Now England should carefully batting. Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow are not out they are batting. They are very stable batsman i thik. If they survive at the crease result could be change there has no doubt. Because Australia did only 263 runs. England trail by only195 runs. It is not so difficult for England i think. It will be Competitive game i believe.

Does anyone know when Mark Wood recovered from the injury he suffered during the IPL? He played his last match for the Lucknow Super Giants on 15th April and could not take part anymore in the IPL due to the injury. In the first 4 matches, he had picked up 11 wickets. And I guess he was injured at the time of the first two test matches. He is the best bowler for England at this point. But the fact that he gets injured so often should be a concern for them. Already they lost one of their best bowlers (Jofra Archer) to injury.

Jofra Archer too was injured during IPL and will miss complete summer season. Though Mark Wood has done a good job by picking 5 wickets but I doubt all his good work may be undone by English batsmen. 14 wickets on day 1 tells the story that pitch is very much for bowlers and there are chances that we may get result on day 4. Aussie batting was rescued by Mitchell Marsh and now its time for some English batsmen to give support to falling batting lineup.

Australians are marginally ahead in this series as far as catching goes, otherwise, fielding has been piss poor from both sides. So far England dropped about 16-ish catches in this series. So i don't mind if Aussies are returning the favor to Stokes.

In the last two matches, we have not seen a good performance from England's batsmen in the second innings. But England's squad is experienced. It is no surprise that they played well in the second innings of the third match. As today is just the second day of play, there is no chance of a draw unless the match is delayed due to rain. If Australia can provide a target like 350 then chances of victory are high for Australia. It is difficult to score runs in the last innings. And the pitch is not batting-friendly either.

Ben Stokes followed by the tail really saved the game for England at the moment. The way wickets were falling it was predicted that England will be all out by 150. England have done good so far in second innings by picking 4 wickets and they will surely will be looking to pick one to two more before stumps. Ashes is part of ICC WTC 2023-25 and Australia is leading new WTC by 2 consecutive wins. It a must win game for England otherwise they will lose another Ashes.
