And they needed to win this time to start gathering strength again. However Betis literally humiliated them by destroying them by 4-0. I know that Betis are also having a very solid season. Anything should be expected in football. Although the goals conceeded by Real Sociedad was just too much at least they should have strifed to reduce it. I was actually predicting a draw or at least a goal difference but Betis gave Real Sociedad the humiliation that no one expected. Maybe you are right and it was the real reason behind this embarrassing loss. But from now on, there is going to be a very big gap before the next stage of the Europa League starts. I'm not surprised. Real Sociedad players wasted many chances to score, they couldn't play effectively. What Real Sociedad experienced in this match tells us that "winning the stats doesn't mean winning the match".
