I'm happy for not placing a bet on Sevilla to win. Because considering the first half, things don't seem to be going on very good for Sevilla. Yes, they scored first and Barcelona found the equalizer before the end of the half. But there was a big dominance of Barcelona in this half. They found so many goal opportunities but were able to benefit from only one of them. One of Sevilla's two shots in total ended up with a goal. If they don't improve their effort, Barcelona might win this game.

Barcelona managed to hold Sevilla to a draw in the first half 1-1. Now the match live the second half where both team are fighting for the full 3 point. I think throughout the first half Barcelona played well while Sevilla defended a little bit because Barcelona were a little bit more aggressive than before. The match might end in a draw, but if Barcelona can play like the first half then I think they can still score in the second half.

It is good to see them being very eager to win also finally. This can make the game even more competitive now. But I don't think that Barcelona will be losing this game. The Barcelona I knew, should you have a player dropped, you'll be running around all through the game and the goals would be a lot but, it was different and all gone. Well, I would congratulate Sevilla, they are doing quite well and holding the second place properly. The title is very far from from Barcelona and should Real Madrid top through the rest of this year which they would, they can be said yo have taken the league.

In the end just 1-1 but there could have been so much more goals especially for Barcelona. They had a lot of chances in the finishing minutes of the match. Also that red card was so stupid if it didnt happen probobly Sevilla could have taken all 3 points in this match.

La Liga teams overall performance nowadays are different from the past for sure and as you pointed out Sevilla wouldn't be second if Barcelona and ATM performed as they did in their peak.
Honestly except Real Madrid (partially also), the other teams are way out of their form and Barcelona is the most affected imo.. They just did a favour for Real Madrid by letting Sevilla lose 2 points. A perfect result for RM and bad one for both Sevilla and Barca.

I also bet on Sevilla and I am angry now. Not because the bet was lost, but because of the disgusting result - as a result, both teams lost points. Only Real Madrid has benefited from this result. It would be good if Sevilla was at least formally competing with Real, but it seems that it no longer has the strength to stay close to it. Barcelona continues to flounder in the middle of the standings and the championship is becoming less and less interesting.

Under Xavi's leadership, Barcelona's strategy is slowly stabilizing. But you need a good striker to score. Which Barcelona does not have. Sevilla will not be able to close the points gap with Real Madrid this season. As the days go by their points distance from Real Madrid will continue to increase. Sevilla's performance in the last few matches did not look good to me. The players have lost form. The players of their attacking lineup also performed poorly against Atletico Madrid. Although they won, but they do only 6 shots.

Barca really played well against Sevilla despite not being able to find the winning goal. If they can keep up this way consistently they are definitely gonna come good in time. But this will not be the norm, Barcelona will slowly improve and become top contenders, and eventually win more and more games that will draw them closer to the top 3 position.

Under Xavi so far with just six games to his name, Barcelona have lost just once. Barcelona played some really impressive football against Sevilla, regardless of the facts that they were away from home, i feel they should have gotten all three points if they had not just been unlucky.

Dembele too is coming good gradually under Xavi. I only wish he could remain injury free and fit to some real football like he did yesterday.

Without the injury troubles Dembele is a phenomenal player and he showed to all today the reason why Barcelona should extend his contract. if Xavi plays him and Ansu on the flanks, with a few addition to the team upfront in attack and in defence when the transfer window opens, Barcelona will be Barcelona again without Messi.
