I'm neither a Barcelona fan or Messi fan but it was emotional to watch him shed tears during his official press conference, he has done a lot for the club and the club has done so much for him as well. I believe the message is just to blindfold the masses he probably must have gotten tired of playing for the club, they had all the time before the incidence played out. I'm 90% sure the president of the club knew about the La Liga rules and regulations before they allowed the contract to expire. I wish him good luck in his future endeavours.

The coming season will be very tough for both Barcelona and Real Madrid. The road to Atletico Madrid winning the title again seems a bit easy. 50% reduction on salary, that was really huge and it only takes nothing but pure love for a player to be that reasonable about his teams finance in contrast to his. Messi did his best but, it was high time he taste other shores. The PSG move is a good and bigone. His got Neymar Jnr and Angel Di Maria to unite with. Neymar and Messi became quite found of themselves back at Barcelona and had some really good trophy days,  same could be the case with this move.

Yes, I would also like to see Messi play in another championship and moving to the French league is quite the right decision, because Paris Saint-Germain with such a squad is easier to dominate in their league than if Messi moved to England, where the level of competition is higher. Therefore, the adaptation of Messi should be much easier and faster. La Liga will be different without Messi for sure but maybe we can see it in a good way, some players have opportunity to show themselves because there won't be a point of main interest without Messi. We can see better performances from Puig, Pedri or Fati. I accept that this is a wishful thinking though.
I see Atletico as favorite again but I also expect championship race to run until last week. We can watch very similar season again. I don't think Real and Barca as favorites like old times. Hopefully we can watch more exciting La Liga even though the biggest players are already gone.
