Recently I read that they would only let De Jong off for 85 million euros which is the same price they did when they made the transfer and Fabrizio mentioned that United's offer of 60 million plus a bonus of 10 million euros has been rejected by Barcelona.
I think it will be a bit forced if they are still going to release this player at that price because if you look at the performance and age, it's obviously too expensive.

What if it goes to 120m ? At some point it's gonna be an enticing offer for Barcelona ? Don't you think so? The thing is how much Barca value De Jong according to their plans. If it's worth 80 million then they will sell him and get another player. Real Betis were one of the impressive teams last season. Things they did with Pellegrini were really amazing. They were very close to even joining the Champions League group stage but their results in the last weeks of the season didn't help them about that. What you say is quite reasonable, it is not a wise decision to sell De Jong, who is one of Barcelona's important players. Moreover, De Jong is still

Rudiger came with zero transfer fee which means they have not splash the money yet , the champions league journey has earned them quite a lot of money .. but of course it's not all the way for their transfer budget.

I believe they are looking for natural striker to match benzema, so far we see there is no aggresive movement indeed after the mbappe transfer fails.

At least this is still profitable, especially when you see MU's offer, which is quite large even though it is rejected, but this proves that this player still has capacity there.

Frenkie de Jong is the player for that for now. I hope to see Barcelona stronger than this in the future. A team like them shouldn't have big issues like this normally.
