It is actually a very hard decision for Barcelona. It seems to me that they are having trouble deciding which one to give more importance to, which is why they cannot make up their minds. They will have to give equal importance to both La Liga and also the Champions League. We know that Barcelona has been giving a lot of importance to La Liga. I don't know if they can maintain their claim for the title until the end of the season but we will see. If they are eliminated from the Champions League early then their main target would be the La Liga. Otherwise I don't know how much good they can balance both tournaments.

Their next game is against Girona home and I expect a comfortable win. They had better win that before playing a very difficult game against A. Bilbao after that.

I don't think Atletico Madrid's performance is good enough. Atlético Madrid has won 4 out of 7 matches. And they scored 12 goals in 7 matches. Another challenge this week for Barcelona will be to complete the task of picking up another 3 points against Celta Vigo in the coming days. If they lose a point in a match they will lose their position in the points table.

As I said before it's definitely not going to be easy for Barcelona especially now that they've lost some of their players through injury. This can be something that is quite difficult for them, even if it is not impossible that their defeat will repeat itself under these conditions and with an opponent that can be said to be quite tough for them.
On the other hand, Madrid is the one who certainly benefits from this because they have a great opportunity to overtake again.

It is very difficult to score against such a strong defence. 3-0 lead against Austria Wien in today's Europa Conference League match. Although Wien's players attacked a lot, they could not break Villarreal's strong defense. So it is possible for Villarreal to win against Real Sociedad.

I wasn't aware of that (Moreno's absence). I was going to say that, like in financial markets, past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results, but the absentia is a compelling reason to tilt the balance to the other side, or at least a draw, if Villareal's defence is as solid as you think it is.

Either way, it will be an interesting match to see because the result will have a straight effect in the classification (they are 7th and 8th, so the winner will immediately be above the loser, no matter what other teams do).

In the end, it does feel like Barcelona is performing better than Real Madrid. But personally, I am not convinced that Barcelona is going to be able to win the la Liga title. But on the other hand, Barcelona has to win the La Liga title and also the Champions League title if possible. They just have too much at stake.

I don't just understand you here, which Barcelona have to win both laliga and champions league? OK, let us assume that they will outsmart Real Madrid and win Laliga (which I know they cannot). How will they manage to win the champions league which they are not sure they will even qualify from the group. Didn't you watch last night champions league and understood that they lost to Inter and also previously lost to Bayern, that is not how strong contenders play the champions league please.

But it is probably not possible for them to do so. This is actually very hard for any team, not only for Barcelona. Obviously, we know how Barcelona played in the Champions League. Well, I am going to disagree with you on this one. It is very early into the season and that's why it is very hard to predict anything about who is going to win the La Liga title. But we all have a good idea that either Real Madrid or Barcelona is going to win the title. And I find it hard to believe that Barcelona has no chance of winning the La Liga title when they are at the top of the table and playing quite well in La Liga.

October 16 is finally the day, then we get the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona. You would say that Real Madrid are favorites for the performances of the past few seasons, but Barcelona seem to have got into form just in time this season. Last season they made bigger strides in the last half. And last season Barcelona also beat Real Madrid in Bernabeu. That was 0-4 then, I'm pretty sure we're not going to experience that result again. You should also not be surprised if it is a big win for Madrid. Barcelona hasn't really been tested yet this season. The only test came in the CL, when they lost to Bayern Munich but where they shouldn't have lost. I am curious how Madrid's defense will solve the Lewandowsky problem.

Despite all that, their young players continue to make a big contribution in every game. Vinicius Jr consistently delivers something extraordinary for Real Madrid, besides Vini there is also Rodrygo who is increasing.

Vinicius and Rodrygo seem to be playing well. both played aggressively on the flanks to provide support for Benzema. This combination of 3 players has been quite successful in Madrid so far.

Madrid's next game will be against Getafe, I think it will be 3 points for Madrid. Madrid currently only loses goal productivity from Barcelona. Madrid also conceded quite a lot. compared to Barca who has conceded just 1 time.

Both teams can score maybe yes, if we see back the history of head to head in both. Apart from the absence of Gerrard Moreno, today at another competition Villarreal player got a hat-trick, a man who had just been recruited this season from Levante Luis Morales, it seems he has can adapted to this team although he is not young anymore.
