It was a total domination by Barcelona against Almeria just as everyone expected. Almeria must have been even thankful for Barcelona not to score so many goals. It could have ended up with a really embarrassing score for them instead of only 2-0. Lewandowski was scoring goals for three games in the La Liga but he couldn't this time. He missed a penalty and wasted the biggest chance to score.

Now they are waiting for Real Madrid to play their game against Vallecano. Barcelona will hope for them to lose points again in an easy game. But I don't think it will happen this time.

Unfortunately Barcelona against Almeria managed to get a 2-0 win, this was a very good match because it was proven that they did not rely on Robert Lewandowski as their main striker because it seemed that both goals were not scored by Robert Lewandowski, luck was not on Robert Lewandowski's side. With this victory Barcelona were able to snatch to the first position again and shift Real Madrid and currently their score is only 2 points away, in the next match Real Madrid must get a win to drop Barcelona at the top of the top position.

At first, it seemed like Barcelona were having hard lucks and there winning was in doubt. There were several good chances that were missed. One even for Dembele and he was right there in front of the goal, no keeper, no defender, just him and a through ball that came his way from R. Lewandowski and he couldn't even direct the ball towards the goal. I almost gave up for them at that point but, it was far from the end for Barcelona and they did there best to prove themselves still as a good team in the Laliga.  He @Dembele later stepped up floor the rescue bit, Almeria isn't a team Barcelona should have difficulty wining, not at all.

Barcelona started by taking control and there have been some chances that were actually quite good but these are still wasted.
I think with their attacking condition like this, it is difficult for Almeria to continue to defend with discipline because Barcelona's attacks have been quite sporadic so far.

The most surprising thing from Barcelona with me, is their defense in this season. After 13 matches, they only have 4 conceded goals that is an unbelievable stats for their defense which used to be considered as weak.

Frenkie de Jong was outstanding in this match. because he is always able to trouble the opponent's defense. He creates an attack pattern that is quite dangerous for the opponent. Even the passes given by Frenkie de Jong also have a very good level of accuracy. and this match made a beautiful gift for Gerard Pique.

When the referee awarded a penalty to Barcelona after Kaiky had a handball in the forbidden box, it should have been Pique who was shown as the executor to complete his farewell to Barcelona. Pique is not too bad at taking penalties, he has done it several times when Barcelona had to continue the match until the penalty shootout.
Pique farewell will be complete if he can score in the match against Almeria, Barcelona penalty in the 6th minute was a good opportunity for Pique to score in his last game. In this match Pique was taken off in the 85th minute which marked the end of his era, Pique looked emotional as he walked off the field. Victory over Almeria became the most beautiful gift in Pique's farewell match.

It is a big privilege to watch him hang his boats after his last game against Almeria. Pique was a classical centre back i hope he takes up a career as a coach i know he will make a good one. as I posted earlier, Barcelona will score at least two goals in this match. and as you said, actually Barcelona had a lot of chances to break into Almeria. they had 27 total shots, 13 shots on target, 6 blocked shots. however, they could only create two goals from all the chances they had. Almeria was not too embarrassed in this crucial match for Barcelona. the result, Barcelona lead the top standings with a difference of two points with Real Madrid.
on the other hand, Pique officially hangs up his boots. the atmosphere of emotion was felt when he said a few words after the match. he was in tears. we appreciate what he does.

I don't care what people say about Pique's last years, the man is a Barcelona legend. He proved himself all over these years and earned that farewell celebration. He had a great career and he was part of the greatest football squad of the world ever, when they got six trophies in a season.
Everybody expected Pique to use that penalty kick but for some reason he didn't want to use it and pass it on Lewa. Unluckily Lewa missed it, I wish Pique used it. What could be worse anyway? It was like a jubilee game instead of an official league game from start to finish. When you find Almeria in the fixture you don't worry too much about the outcome, Barca won comfortably. They could've scored more goals but wasted a lot of clear positions.
Ferran Torres is still unstable, Dembele scored a good goal but missed easier ones. Fati's development is pretty slow. Barca don't have problem against weaker opponents but when they face against similar level teams we see those issues. Barca is back on top again but I don't think Real will lose points against Rayo Vallecano today.
