ive found taking it lower than 950 on each psu it starts to have panic attacks and acts weird. but then ts ambient te,p is pretty high at 30C+ so the fans stay loud

I've underclocked it @0.62V which gives me about 2.6TH/s, fans at 30%. The fans are not so loud as 80% but they are still too noisy for a home/office. So my only option is an acoustic enclosure..

The fans are not so loud as 80% but they are still too noisy for a home/office. So my only option is an acoustic enclosure..
.62v? wow! i was thinking to put 12cm fans at 20cm in front of the miner, and just tape the fans to the miner like a duct&adapter. or making an cardboard ''adapter'' for sure it will help!

So, the merger of Spondoolies with BTCS is apparently a done deal. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/btcs-spondoolies-tech-sign-definitive-123700992.htmlFollowing the merger, Charles Allen will remain the CEO and chairman of the board of the combined company and Yuval Rosen will join the board and be appointed as BTCS' CFO. Guy Corem, Kobi Levin, and Gadi Glikberg, current executives of Spondoolies, will also be appointed officers of the combined company. I wonder if Zvi/software lead is still with the combined company? I think that Spond took a pause and allowed Bitmain to exert too much influence on the retail marketplace. Hopefully, they will reconsider getting out of retail. I am pretty sure that 28 mil that Spond sold last year would make quite an impact on BTCS valuation going forward. Relying only on self-mining is riskier, in my opinion. They (BTCS/Spond) still have the window open until Dec 31. If they come up soon with a reasonably priced 16nm solution, it would be uncanny.

Its not quite, still pending a few things but its essentially the two companies saying "yeah, we're going to do this unless someone tells us we can't". Closing of the merger is subject to, among other things, receipt of regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. I wonder if Zvi/software lead is still with the combined company?
Zvi co-founded his own company this year and is working for MS, so if he's still involved he's definitely a busy man.

I too got the E-mail from Spondoolies merger with BTCS. I really wish the Spondoolies folks well. Right now it's not obvious that merging with BTCS will produce anything that an individual home miner will care about, if anything. I hope it goes well, since I am a minuscule shareholder of BTCS (i.e. a few 100 shares). At this point it looks even riskier than Bitcoin itself.

Cool, it turns out I am running a "transaction verification services business". Might not be easier to explain to people, but it sounds better and people will be more hesitant to ask to avoid looking stupid.

Would love for Bitmain to get some real competition.

I think this has been posted here but BTCS is losing $$$ big time from this link http://www.coindesk.com/btcs-4-5-million-net-loss-mining-grows/So my question are they going thru with this meger because (ie spondoolies) has too ie...we sink or swim together? or does it make good business sense now and is not some kinda desperation move (or the fact spondoolies is stuck from previous agreements with BTCS so its a moot point) I myself doubt it is gonna end well for spondoolies proper..I think BTCS is gonna suck them dry on capital and hardware and 'plunk' ..the whole works sinks like a lump of lead (would like to be wrong) others with more insight?

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

I too worry about Spondoolies. I have zero idea on who was the "weak partner" in the merger with BTCS. After I invested some in buying BTCS stock (pink sheet), I found a video by them. The primary thrust that I took away was "Look at what a great deal we got on X (e.g. shelving, space, wiring, etc)". It didn't instill real confidence that they were really going to go anywhere. They seemed to be looking to put together a low-cost facility for mining. Maybe a little better thought out than what you see described in the various forums here, but not a lot better.
Just my opinion. I hope Spondoolies has just been itching to say something about a great new bit of gear, and will be able to do so soon. All the best to Guy and company!

TED is a Microsoft team that does work to repair Microsoft reputation in the open sourse community. It is a new initiative. Mostly I work with startups in the Microsoft Ventures lab. I am involved in Spondoolies where my experience is needed (I am allowed by my Microsoft agreement) , because we are friends but I am not the main developer anymore. After implementing 2 years of miner SW one has to move on.
