I just wish this thread would go back to hardware. This was one of the threads I once enjoyed checking daily.  Reading about miners for at quite a while.

Is there any plans on making any miner info public?  Or has it been decided for foreseeable future no miner talk?

Agree. More the Psychic Network 'infomercial' imho.

They say things we want to hear but in that is it all in the 'ASIC Spirit World" alas never comes to pass Sad We 'hope' to make sp50's (see wall outlets/racks) but the asic spirits are 'restless' so we may fudge on this Sad

agree on a side note sp10's on ebay (cheapest one) 189 bucks at my 10c kwh I'd only lose 49 bucks a month in electric from what I figured....heh...

cute toys...but not that cute to fire up and to play with..thou next winter IF I needed a space heater (naw got the 2013 KNC 550 gh Jupiter for that yet) maybe (er nevermind)

maybe in another year when they go for 50 bucks I'll get one and use it for ASIC wall art in the basement. (damn I need a life)

in the thread you will see spondoolies is OUT of making miners for others...supposedly making them for their data halls only...thou not a lot a proof of
that yet........so you are in for a long wait (like never) for a home miner imho

anyway review past posts on this thread....they have packed up an left...again imho...others have summed this all up better in previous posts on this thread

1) design a minrer

2) make a miner

3) sell a miner (to individuals)

4) design a new miner

5) make a new miner

6) get big bucks newbie IPO $$$ for data halls

7) keep the miner (yourself)

rinse/wash/repeat till folk catch on Smiley

Oh, boy...either they want to attach themselves to new 'hot" alt, or they hope that bitcoin will go back to GPUs.
BTW, deploying 50kw on ethereum would mean just 200 GPUs for $60000.

I love the "Forward Looking Statements" disclaimer on this sort of stuff.

I guess everyone and their uncle will be sniffing around ETH looking for an angle, the crowd in my sig have sold (according to them) $1m worth of Ethereum cloud mining contracts in the last couple of days.

Somebody more intelligent than me do an ELI5 on the "Asic proof" aspect pls, or point me to one?
Sorry to hijack this weird thread even more, time for a link from Guy about something important around about now isn't it?..

Well if you really really have to get your sha-256 stuff a humming you could be crazy as a loon and try this

http://allcoinsnews.com/2016/03/17/bitcoin-classic-clone-claims-network-stable-with-2-mb-block-size/

c-bit clone of bitcoin classic with 2mb block size and an increase from 21 million coin to 210 million coin ..but everything else is the same HONEST Smiley

what a hoot!

looks like a way to push unused sha-256 cloud hashing in my view

here is the main link

http://btc-bit.com/ main site

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/c-bit/  price

http://alpha.btc-bit.com/ pools

NOT looking good for this coin..but if you need your spondoolies sp10/20/20/35 and the mythical sp50 for 'space heater' use.....hey what the hell

Hi.
two weeks to buy a SP35 and SP31 on ebay ago.
Now I have time looking like silence.

Prove oil immersion with the SP31 but I found a problem heating PSU.
Since the PSU is small and enclosed.

Now I'm running with forced ventilation with three Noctua NF-14 PWM IndustrialPPC-3000.

The noise is much lower than the standard.

My problem is being segue PSU fans.
40mm fans are making much more noise than armyworm.

I can not change it for the same size as it needs to move air.

I need to adapt a system to cool the source silently.

This all is temporary. Buy parts for water cooling and be my next test.

Does anyone change the cooling system of these items?

Spanish:

Hola.

Hi, I have a SP35.
My problem is that suddenly without touching anything left to connect to the pool.
Besides not let me connect by ip for time to pass.

Although I put admin and admin.
Just go back to ask me the username and password again.

If I cancel 401 fails.

But if I put my username and password does not fail. Simply ask me again.

Does it appear like its actually mining (heat, power consumption, constant noise)? Does it reset itself every 2-3 minutes (loud fan cycles)?

Fixed with SD card recovery.
If it happens again I shall suspect intrusion on the network.
But for now it is working.
