About every 5 mins my SP30 restarts MinerGate and I receive the message "The miner is not running or waiting for pool connection." It's updated to the recent 2.3.27.
Does anyone know the reason for it? Pool seems to be working fine.

There is another problem. I plugged in the second miner (192.168.0.5) but myminer.io doesn't seem to be loading anymore so I can't update the firmware because I don't seem to have an access to cgminer status. I go directly via 192.168.0.5 and tyepe the default login & password but the cgminer status page doesn't load or loads only main page sometimes but options are not accessible. The miner seems to be fine. All lights are lit fine etc

For a moment the cgminer status page and I managed to get into firmware update section so I tried updating firmware and I got the message:
"Downloading url:http://firmware.spondoolies-tech.com/release/spon.tar
download fail, rc = 52"

Also what is max tempureture I could push SP-30 into (Back T,B) while still keeping it stable and without damaging the unit (chips)?

Now there is another problem. I plugged in the second miner to but myminer.io doesn't seem to be loading so I can't update the firmware because I don't seem to have an access to cgminer. I go directly via 192.168.0.5 and insert the default password (That's the address my router shows to be allocated for this miner) but the status page doesn't load. The miner seems to be fine. All lights are lit fine etc

For a moment the cgminer status page loaded so I tried updating firmware and I got the message:

"Downloading url:http://firmware.spondoolies-tech.com/release/spon.tar
download fail, rc = 52"

Actually I don't have an access to any miner now. myminer.io doesn't seem to load, neither can I get access to cgminer status via 192.168.0.4 (Miner 1) nor 192.168.0.5 (Miner 2).
When I try to load 192.168.0.5 the fans start working like crazy, probably at 100% and don't stop so I have to switch the miners off.

Well, myminer.io is not important if you know your miners IP, so that I guess is not a problem.
Try doing power cycle to the unit a couple of times see if leds blink. If not, do recovery with SD  as explained on our tech blog for SP30. If the main leds respond - please test if you can ping and ssh (root/root) the miner. If you can ssh the miner, you can change edit your wallet "vi /etc/cgminer.conf <enter>" and then type "spond-manager start <enter>". The miner should start mining. Then you can type "cat /tmp/asics" to see how it does. This is not a solution to your problem, but this should get your miner running.

If SD recovery didn't help, or the WebUI not working, please open port forwarding to your miners http and ssh and send me the passwords so I can investigate.

Yes, but not now - it's 4AM weekend. For now please try SD recovery or manual configuration via ssh.

I can ping it with no problem. When I try to access it through putty the password doesn't seem to be right although default login and password for 192.168.0.5 are admin/admin.

I have not got SD Card for recovery. I would need to buy a card, a reader. What time are you back tomorrow, please?

While I wasn't a happy customer of SP regarding their hardware short comings and compensation, I do appreciate the hard work that Zvi puts in. Thanks Zvi.

Hi all.
We are experiencing some issues with our SW upgrade server which we are investigating. Sometimes it down - in such cases retry after 5 minutes.

We added a way to upload image from your computer so in future you are not dependant on SW upgrade server so much.

after a painful morning and an extortionate afternoon - its 1630 and i am mining with the loudest machine ive ever heard, and i had avalons!!

i managed to convince the weekend staff to release shipment for 'just' 100 USD (no receipt) on top of the 290USD previously quoted, so all in all - im happy!

very nice to just plug it in and go!! (i haven't upgraded fw yet)

due to its size i moved my 2 (SILENT) jupiters indoors & put the sp30 in their place.

Noticed my November Jup has got 2 burnt connectors -  but fukkit, if they burn any more ill have to pull out them shitty 'extension' things and wire it directly... nows a good time to clean 10 months worth of dust out of em too!

So........ I'll be in touch!

Are you happy now?

It is normal for the first 24 hours for the miner to have several reboots(as it was stated several times before). The PSU auto-tunes by doing this. Just chill.

lets gloss over the painful truth (BRIBE) and focus on 'your' amazing shipping skills, shall we...?

so when its going wrong its nothing to do with SP, and when a customer has no choice but to pay a bribe to get it out THIS MONTH, you're impressed with yourselves....

well done, you're awesome!!

can i be compensated with 21% off an SP31 but not pay the balance until you actually release definite specs?

We got the preliminary ASICs results for October batch. We'll meet 5.5 TH/s +- 5% with 3KW at the wall.
This is guaranteed. You'll get a refund in case we won't. You'll enjoy additional hash-rate if it will be better.
We're further tuning the process to get better results for November.

The SSH user password are root/root. Please try it.

Ah sorry I missed that. I was too sleepy last night.

Yeah I got access to it but, anyway somehow cg miner status started working smooth today and there was no problem with updating teh firmware as soon as myminer.io was up online. It seems it has something to do with your server being online

You'll find out why some people are whining in about 8-12 months when we don't get ROI and our miners end up in the bins.
