I hate to say this because this is my favorite coin but the new logo looks like something from google services.

… and so should help with mass adoption. IMO our lgoo looks much more respectable than Bitcoin's!
We present as secure, trustworthy and sophisticated - at least I hope we do! Smiley

And the logo is just part of the new 'look'. The paper wallets are so pretty I could cry.

The spirit of the scrabble tile lives in our hearts forever.

This coin has really nice mining properties whatever the hardware and everything runs very quiet and cool compared to others.. My hardware might even survive the summer mining this!!

My Asus cards 290x @ 11Mh/s 50% fan speed just below 60 celcius!!
Even my nVidia card 680 is mining @ 5.6Mh/s with only 16 intensity (can watch movies surf etc)
CPU mining almost 1.8Mh/s

Pure awesomeness this coin is for everyone and don't need to burn your hardware.  Cool

Good that coinmine.pl is back from DDOS! And thank you for looking into the problems so fast.

You now have 260MH. Could we have some more miners on coinmine.pl to better distribute hash?

Hi!

This new logo is simple and elegant. That is the current trend, so I very much approve the switch.

It is not possible to please everyone. For example, I do not like Apple iOS7 new design. And for logos, I like shiny, gold, shadows, etc (qualities, that the new logo doesn't have). But in the long run - I think the new logo is very good for Groestlcoin.

And we have something hot to support the new logo launch. Stay tuned.

>Looks like google services...
It may actually be a plus somewhere deep inside most people's inner mind. Not that it was designed to be like that. Just happened. They use "g", we use "g".

The new logo is approved by people who know marketing and product placement.

Thanks

PAGE #100!

A few weeks ago after the sudden departure of gruve_p it was uncertain whether we'd even make it this far.
Yet here we are!  Cool

Many many thanks to everybody who has participated in this community, from miners (all of u) to the pool OPs (feeleep, ocminer, Astrides) to the commentators, to the investors, to the pumpers and the dumpers, to the devs (cbuchner1, yvg1900, instacash) to the insomniacs, to the cyphermonks (me and anyone else who wishes), to the twitters, to the wandering doges and even to the passing tr0lls. And to gruve_p - the man who made this all possible. Your names are too many to mention and your actions too prolific to count, and I humbly apologize for any omissions. Thanks to BigBalls, FiR3, verdun2003 and NoXX for going the extra mile, and playing key roles in getting us here.

Special thanks to srcxxx for stepping up as Dev after gruve_p slipped on his magic ring and vanished.

srcxxx - Without your tireless efforts we would not be here today. Word are insufficient. But Thank YOU

THANK YOU ALL
Our community grows. Our PoW is ultimate.

www2.coinmine.pl - DEAD
http://www.omargpools.ca/grs/ - 0 workers?
http://grs.5limi.com/ - 0 workers?

coinmine.pl is/was not dead, it had been under heavy DDOS but was accepting shares normally, only the website was affected.
It's back now.

Thanks for the update pallas - great news coinmine is back (knew it would be)!
congrats feeleep Smiley

there is nothing to be proud of - I had two options basically - wait till they finish, or implement Cloudflare for example. Because implementing Cloudflare means changing DNS, it would disrupt all mining. This would be even more confusing for everyone. So I decided to wait...

Anyway - Cloudflare will be implemented anyway but with proper preparation Smiley

feeleep

this time grs can not attract many people.

I saw you have workers there and you found blocks so Im not sure what happened with my attempt.

many thanks

Hallo my friends.
Sorry but I'm a little newbe.

Which command I have to make to compile the wallet in Ubuntufrom sources?
Thanks everybody

P.S.
With sgminer on Cryptohumger I have:
Code:
[21:41:27] Started sgminer 4.1.0

  __constant static const sph_u64 T0[] = {
                    ^

./kernel/groestl.cl(107): error: a global-scope declaration may not have this
          storage class
  __constant
[21:41:29] Failed to init GPU thread 0, disabling device 0
[21:41:29] Restarting the GPU from the menu will not fix this.
[21:41:29] Try restarting sgminer.
Press enter to continue:

Hi!

Are you trying to compile the wallet or sgminer?

The code that you provided seems to be from sgminer.

If you need to build wallet in Ubuntu, you just go to the "src" folder and type "make" and then wait about 5 minutes.

Thanks

GroestlCoin added to CryptoCoinsInfo.com

Check the main page for comparison with other coins. Solo calculation for Groestl algo is working, just insert your normal SCRYPT hash rate.

I don't think there's a simple formula to convert scrypt hashpower into groestl hashpower, a 7950 and a 5970 have almost the same scrypt hashrate (700-800), but a 7950 has around 6000 KH/s in groestl, while the 5970 has more than double. But I guess using something like grs = scrypt * 12 is close enough for most cards...  Smiley
