I never pay attention to where the matches are being played.  The Auckland Warriors won their game this week playing in Auckland for the first time in close to two years due to Covid restrictions.

OMG the Premiership never fails to surprise and throw up strange results. Ok Storm lost
but the scoreline is just strange. 20 - 0 at half time and only scoring 1 try and 1 conversion
in the second half is abysmal. Just reading a few match reports would make you wonder
how they are in the top 3 ?

Good call Timelord on backing the Sharks, I on the other hand have collected another red flag!

Yes, I've noticed this slight collapse by the Storm over the last few weeks while this is the fifth week in a row the Sharks have won. The top of this page shows last week's loss to the Sea Eagles. I missed the first half but saw a couple of missed opportunities by Melbourne. Their last minute try was more to save face but even then the Sharks had also scored late in the game to cement their win.

$2.11 odds made the win all that much better. 😁

I'm thinking the Knights Vs Rabbitohs game will be entertaining as will the Broncos Vs the Dragons.

The second games in the Summer International series are scheduled for tomorrow:



I would probably go with wins for all the home ^{southern hemisphere} teams
although Japan probably wont beat France who are the in form Northern hemisphere team this
year and are building for their home RWC next year.

England came close to beating Australia last week but it might not be so close tomorrow, Australia
to win again I suspect.

Ireland in a lot of opinions here are kind of regressing a bit, no silverware this year from the clubs or
international sides and the bit of a hammering last week by the All Blacks, it will be the same again I
fear tomorrow.

I'll see if I can put some wagers on the Union Internationals on over the weekend. I know the local media have been stressing out all week concerning the last minute change to the roster last weekend in the Australia Vs England match.

Owen Ferrell's just kicked another goal to take England's score to 22 - 7 against Australia at Lang Park tonight.

West's Tigers are clawing their way closer to the Eels 20 - 28 with four minutes to go.

Wales on the other hand aren't looking too great. We might let down the Northern Hemisphere teams here honestly. I've thought that the South Africans have had the better of the first half, although I'm not counting my chickens yet. Wales usually do play better the second half. I don't know why that is, I wouldn't say we're more fit than South Africa.

South African wingers definitely scare me though, those are some big boys, who are surprisingly fast when they get the ball. We've done alright. I think the ref has been a little harsh on Welsh offsides, when SA have been basically doing the same, just not on their try line.

I've got Wales to win (4.0), first leg of an accumulator which also has some UFC in it. So, they better pull something out. 3-3 at half time though is pretty good considering how much South Africa has had of the ball. I'm worried about the experienced players coming on in the late game for South Africa though, especially in the scrummage area.

I expect Scotland to lose to Argentina later on for the final test match of the day. I suspect it'll be close, but feel they just haven't got enough to beat them, and quite frankly Argentina are usually underestimated in rugby.

I think we were all surprised with our interested teams results, some good in
the case of New Zealand 12 - Ireland 23, South Africa 12 - 13 Wales,
Australia 17 - 25 England, Argentina 9 - 29 Scotland, Japan 15 - 20 France.
Thats all visiting teams winning their second games.

I totaly thought as was the general cvonsensus here that NZ would win again
to close out the series.

Wales to win away to SA is massive too, again probably an unexpected win.

And England to beat Australia was something I really thought would happen in
te first game and the way some of the pundits were talking England had "a lot"
of work to do to improve for this second game.

I managed to place bets on the various games less than thirty minutes before kick-off of the Australia Vs England game via a non bitcoin gaming site here in Australia.  I managed to see the last ten minutes of the first half and about twenty-five minutes from kick-off of the second half.  The game was played at Lang Park here in Brisbane and I was looking at little things like the line marking how distinctly different it is from league games.  ^{(the third game of the State of Origin will be played at Lang Park in two days time - have a look at the small differences if you're able to catch the game)}

My pics were New Zealand, Wales, Australia, Scotland and France, so three from five - my bets were $1 AUD each "to win" (head-to-head), so no major financial gains or losses, but it's nice have had a couple of wins.

I had Australia and Ireland. On Irelands win again I learned that the win last weekend was
a record breaker! we never beat NZ before this in NZ, we have beaten them in Ireland
and in the USA!

As for the final test in this series I really dont know who to pick from the various games.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his Papua New Guinean counterpart James Marape may have been speaking on the sidelines of the Pacific Islands Forum on Thursday.
Key points:

    The PNG government wants a team in the NRL
    Anthony Albanese gave in-principle support to PNG PM James Marape
    The decision is likely to be made by the ARLC in 2025, the 50th anniversary of PNG's independence from Australia

But what they said will be felt across the playing field of the NRL, and regional geopolitics.

At a picture opportunity for media ahead of a bilateral meeting, Mr Marape stated to Mr Albanese — as part of the pleasantries provided for the cameras — that rugby league was part of PNG's national character.

"If there’s something good that Australia has left as far as a lasting imprint in Papua New Guinea, rugby league is one of them," he said.

But Mr Albanese went beyond mere courtesy in reply.

    "We have to look at a team eventually in the NRL for PNG, and perhaps from the Pacific as well," he said.
